Epic Fish: Net of Fortune — follow the net through three upgrades
Wilds cast the net, Fish carry the collected values, and the bonus meter changes the rules at six and twelve Wilds. Read the sequence before reading the spectacle.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Epic Fish: Net of Fortune by Quickspin uses five reels, three rows and ten paylines. The official material centres on Fish Collection, Net Respins and three progressively stronger Free Spins modes.
Verified configuration
Quickspin lists four total RTP configurations: 96.10%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 85.13%. Volatility is three out of five for the first three and 2.5 for the 85% version. The reference stake range is €0.10–€100; that does not confirm NZD limits.
The game sheet reports simulated maximum payouts of 5,360x, 5,307x, 5,290x and 5,202x respectively in 100 million spins. These are configuration-specific simulation results, not a forecast for one session.
Net Respins and Fish Collection
A Wild landing with a Fish triggers Net Respins. Those symbols lock while the other positions respin. New Wild or Fish symbols also lock and extend the sequence; it ends when neither appears.
Afterward, each Wild acts as a fisherman and collects every visible Fish value. In the base game, Net Respins trigger randomly. During Free Spins, the documented Wild-and-Fish condition guarantees the sequence.
Three Free Spins routes
Three Bonus symbols award seven Perfect Catch spins, four award eight Fish Frenzy spins and five award nine Fisherman Legend spins. The rounds cannot be retriggered, but the meter can add a spin and upgrade the feature.
At six collected Wilds, Fish Frenzy activates and adds one spin. At twelve, Fisherman Legend activates and adds another. Fish Frenzy can add Fish when a Wild lands alone; Fisherman Legend makes new Wilds sticky for the rest of the round.
Extra Bet and feature buys
Extra Bet costs 2x and increases the chance of Fish symbols and the documented respin/collection sequence. It cannot be active at the same time as Buy Feature.
Quickspin lists buy prices of 45x for Perfect Catch, 100x for Fish Frenzy and 250x for Fisherman Legend. Availability varies by market. Each price is a cost, not a promised result.
Mobile and evidence checks
On mobile, confirm that locked symbols, collected Wild count, remaining spins and current tier remain visible. Save the Game ID, active RTP, total stake and round ID if a collection appears inconsistent.
The Quickspin catalogue guide explains version checks. Epic Fish: Winter Catch and Epic Fish: Marlin Madness use different collection rules and should not be used as substitutes for this paytable.
Base layout and ten-line wins
The game uses a five-reel, three-row grid and ten fixed paylines. Ordinary wins are evaluated on those line patterns. Open the live paytable to identify symbol direction, minimum matching length and awards for the deployed version; do not interpret it as an all-ways game.
Fish symbols carry multiplier values used by the collection mechanic. A Fish appearing without the required Wild condition is not automatically collected. Keep ordinary line awards and collected Fish values in separate columns.
The reference stake range in the supplier sheet is expressed in euros. It describes the product configuration, not a guaranteed NZD table. Record the actual account denomination and total bet shown by the operator.
Starting and extending Net Respins
A Wild and a Fish landing together trigger Net Respins in the documented base feature. The initiating Wild and Fish lock. Other cells respin, and each newly arriving Wild or Fish also locks in place and continues the sequence.
The respins end when a result adds neither symbol type. Number every respin and mark only the new locked symbols. A Fish already present does not extend the sequence again merely because it remains visible.
This creates a final display containing one or more fishermen Wilds and one or more valued Fish. Settlement occurs after the respin sequence, so an early screenshot can understate the eventual collection.
The base-game trigger is described as random in the official materials. A visible Wild and Fish combination elsewhere in the game should be checked against the event history rather than assumed to be a user-controlled trigger.
Calculating Fish Collection
After Net Respins finish, every Wild acts as a fisherman and collects every visible Fish value. If the grid contains two Wilds and Fish values of 2×, 3× and 5×, the collection logic applies the complete Fish set to each fisherman under the published rule. Use the settled history for the exact total.
Do not remove a Fish after the first Wild collects it unless the game help explicitly shows removal. “Each Wild collects all Fish” describes repeated collection by the fishermen, not division of the pool among them.
Keep four fields: base stake, sum of Fish values, number of collecting Wilds and resulting collection. Add ordinary line wins separately. This avoids multiplying the stake twice or treating a 5× Fish as a five-currency-unit award regardless of bet.
During Free Spins, the Wild-and-Fish condition guarantees Net Respins according to the supplier description. The guarantee applies when the condition occurs; it does not promise that every free spin contains both symbols.
Perfect Catch entry
Three Bonus symbols award seven Perfect Catch Free Spins. This is the first of the three starting tiers. The feature cannot be retriggered through another scatter award, but its Wild meter can grant upgrades and extra spins.
Record the initial tier, seven-spin count and actual opening meter. The current supplier rule increases the meter for every new Wild landing during the feature; it does not require waiting for Fish Collection settlement. This count is neither Fish quantity nor cash value.
At six collected Wilds, the round upgrades to Fish Frenzy and adds one spin. If the meter later reaches twelve, it upgrades again to Fisherman Legend and adds another spin. A Perfect Catch entry can therefore move through both tiers if enough Wilds are collected.
The upgrade does not restart the entire feature. Preserve spins used, spins added and spins remaining so the final number can be reconciled.
Fish Frenzy entry and behaviour
Four Bonus symbols award eight Fish Frenzy Free Spins from the start. The feature begins with the second-tier rule already active: when a Wild lands without a Fish, Fish symbols can be added under the documented Fish Frenzy mechanic.
The supplier says six additional Wilds upgrade Fish Frenzy to Fisherman Legend and add a spin. Read the direct-entry meter presentation from that version; do not assume it opens at zero or transplant a lower-tier cumulative display without evidence.
When the game adds Fish to accompany a lone Wild, record those generated Fish separately from symbols that landed naturally. Their displayed values feed the same later collection but their origin explains why the Net Respin condition was completed.
An eight-spin starting count should not be combined with the seven-spin Perfect Catch count. These are alternative trigger outcomes determined by three versus four Bonus symbols.
Fisherman Legend entry and sticky Wilds
Five Bonus symbols award nine Fisherman Legend Free Spins. This is the highest starting tier and activates the rule that new Wilds remain sticky for the rest of the feature.
Sticky Wilds can participate as fishermen in later collection events. Record their reel and row positions on every remaining spin. A sticky Wild persisting across spins is not a newly collected Wild on every spin; advance the meter according to the game’s actual collection events.
A lower starting tier can upgrade to Fisherman Legend at twelve collected Wilds. When that happens, note the exact spin on which the rule becomes active. Wilds landing after activation are sticky; do not retroactively mark all earlier Wilds unless the live history explicitly does so.
The nine-spin trigger and a later upgrade route can reach the same rule set through different paths. Store the initial trigger count and upgrade history so the feature is accurately described.
Wild meter audit
Use a meter table with free-spin number, tier before the spin, new Wilds collected, cumulative Wild count, threshold crossed, spins added and tier after the spin. This resolves the two important checkpoints at six and twelve.
Count documented new Wild landings during the bonus, as the current supplier rule states. Fish values and Bonus symbols do not increment this Wild meter. A held or sticky Wild remaining visible is not a fresh landing and must not be counted again merely because another collection occurs.
If the sixth or twelfth Wild is collected during a multi-Wild event, the threshold occurs in that event. Record the cumulative total after settlement and the added spin shown by the counter.
Because Free Spins cannot retrigger through the ordinary Bonus-symbol rule, the meter’s added spins are the supported extension method described in the source. Do not call them a scatter retrigger.
Extra Bet mode
Extra Bet doubles the stake and increases the opportunity for Fish symbols and the respin/collection sequence. The 2× label is a cost multiplier, not a blanket multiplier on awards.
The mode cannot operate at the same time as Buy Feature. Confirm that selecting one disables or replaces the other in the deployed interface. Record the final total bet before approval.
An increased chance of Fish does not ensure the required Wild arrives or that the round returns its extra cost. Compare mode mechanics rather than short result samples.
If the operator does not display Extra Bet, the provider page does not prove it should be available for that market. Optional controls are deployment-dependent.
Three direct feature routes
The listed purchases correspond to specific starting tiers: 45× for Perfect Catch, 100× for Fish Frenzy and 250× for Fisherman Legend. The higher price buys the stronger documented starting state, not a guaranteed final award.
Before choosing a route, multiply the base stake by the displayed factor and compare it with the confirmation total. Check the feature name, initial spin count and active RTP. A denomination or stake-mode change can make a remembered cash price wrong.
The purchase confirmation and resulting round should share one ID or linked history. Save both if the delivered tier appears different. Availability must be confirmed in the live operator, not inferred from Quickspin’s global product sheet.
Repeated purchases can consume a session limit quickly, especially at 250×. Price the complete click before accepting; no outcome pattern makes the next purchased feature due.
RTP families and simulation maxima
Quickspin lists 96.10%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 85.13%. These are alternative total-return configurations. The game can look identical while using a different one, so the in-game information panel is required.
The reported largest outcomes in 100 million-spin simulations—5,360×, 5,307×, 5,290× and 5,202×—belong to the respective configurations. They are observed simulation results, not a contractual maximum and not a forecast.
Volatility is three out of five for the first three versions and 2.5 for the 85% version. This supplier scale describes distribution, not session safety. Keep it separate from RTP and the simulated peak.
When comparing modes, use the return details printed in the active help. Do not assume the base-game total applies identically to every optional purchase without confirmation.
Round reconstruction worksheet
For base play, record Game ID, RTP, stake, paylines, initiating Wild and Fish, each locked symbol added during Net Respins and the final Fish values. Calculate the collection only after the sequence ends.
For Free Spins, add starting trigger count, initial tier, spin counter and Wild meter. On every spin, note the Wild/Fish condition, respin sequence, collected Wilds, Fish-value subtotal, threshold upgrade and any sticky Wild positions.
At final settlement, reconcile ordinary line awards, Fish Collection awards and the account ledger. If a mobile animation obscures values, use the server round history instead of estimating from the visual net.
Scope of the supplier evidence
The Quickspin page and sheet support the grid, feature sequence, tiers, RTP options and reference prices. They do not prove the game is available to a New Zealand account, that NZD stakes are offered or that feature purchases are enabled.
Operator eligibility, currency, verification and withdrawals are separate account facts. Keeping them outside the game-mechanics claim produces a useful review without inventing local access.
Distinguishing the three Epic Fish titles
Net of Fortune should be identified by its ten-line grid, Net Respins, all-Fish collection by every fisherman Wild and the six/twelve-Wild upgrade meter. Winter Catch and Marlin Madness share fishing imagery but use different feature rules. A title family is not one interchangeable paytable.
Check the exact game name in the launch screen and the slug or Game ID in the information panel. If a casino shortens the tile label to “Epic Fish”, open the help before using this guide. Artwork featuring the same fisherman is insufficient evidence.
The same separation matters in support cases. Give the operator the full title and round ID, not only the franchise name. Otherwise a response can quote a rule from the wrong fishing release.
Example of a transparent collection record
Suppose a Net Respin sequence settles with two fisherman Wilds and three Fish labelled 1×, 3× and 5×. The Fish pool is 9×. Under the documented “each Wild collects all Fish” wording, the worksheet records two collections of that pool, subject to the live history’s exact settlement. Ordinary line wins are then added separately.
This example demonstrates bookkeeping, not a promised outcome. Actual symbol values, positions and awards must come from the active round. If the history reports another total, review the paytable, stake unit and whether every displayed Fish was eligible.
During Fisherman Legend, persistent Wilds can participate in later events. Keep one row for each event rather than multiplying the final number of sticky Wilds by every Fish shown across the entire feature. Values belong to the event in which they were collected.
Mobile interface acceptance test
Test the game information and round history before a material stake. The mobile layout should expose the selected bet, RTP, free-spin counter, current tier, six/twelve-Wild meter and locked symbols without forcing the player to infer values from animation alone.
After one completed round, reopen its history and verify that Fish values and fisherman count are readable. If only a final total is available, preserve the round ID for server-side support. Avoid taking a cropped screenshot that hides the stake or feature tier.
When Extra Bet or Buy Feature is selected, the total cost should remain visible at confirmation. A large button or animated net must not conceal the account-currency deduction.
Publication checklist
Before publishing a factual update, compare the product page, linked game sheet and deployed help. Record the date, Game ID and RTP. If the sources conflict, state the conflict and let the live transaction screen determine the actual price or rule used for that account.
Keep the simulation maximum labelled as an observed supplier test result. Keep the euro stake range labelled as a reference. Keep New Zealand availability unconfirmed unless an operator source directly establishes it.

One sequence, three different counts
The Wild meter, visible fishermen and credited Fish value describe different states. The supplier increments the meter for each new Wild landing during the bonus. Fish Collection subsequently uses the fishermen and eligible Fish on that settled board. A persistent or held Wild can remain visible through multiple evaluations without creating another new landing.
Consider an invented, confirmed upgrade route that began in Perfect Catch and has already passed the six-Wild checkpoint. It is currently Fish Frenzy, the recorded cumulative meter is eleven, and two Free Spins remain before a spin. This assumed history matters: it is not a statement about the displayed opening meter for a directly purchased Fish Frenzy feature.
During the next spin’s Net Respins, new Wild W1 lands and takes the meter to twelve. The interface confirms the Fisherman Legend upgrade and its single added spin. Later respins in that same sequence retain W1 and introduce new Wilds W2 and W3. The cumulative meter becomes fourteen; simply showing W1 again does not add a fifteenth.
| Confirmed event | New Wild identity | Cumulative meter | New threshold addition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening state | None | 11 | 0 |
| First new landing | W1 | 12 | +1 spin at the twelve-Wild checkpoint |
| Held W1 plus another new landing | W2 | 13 | 0 |
| Held W1/W2 plus another new landing | W3 | 14 | 0 |
With no other award assumed, the remaining duration settles at 2 − 1 + 1 = 2. A stationary counter can therefore conceal a real extension: one spin was consumed and one was added. The two later Wilds do not each add another spin, because thirteen and fourteen are not the published six/twelve checkpoints.
Collection uses the final board, not the cumulative meter
Suppose that sequence finally contains three eligible fisherman Wilds and Fish values of one, four and five bet units. The Fish subtotal is ten. Under the supplier’s all-Fish-per-fisherman rule, the recorded collection is 3 × (1 + 4 + 5) = 30 bet units, with ordinary line wins kept separately. Multiplying the fourteen-unit meter by the Fish subtotal would give 140 and incorrectly treat earlier Wild landings as fourteen current fishermen.
Likewise, adding W1 on each respin would inflate the historical meter, while deleting it from the settled collection merely because it was not newly landed on the final respin would understate the current fisherman count. Use stable identity labels to distinguish these two errors. A later feature spin needs its own Fish subtotal and active fisherman mask, not the sum of every Fish ever shown.
W2 and W3 in this illustration arrive after the upgrade is confirmed. The source says new Wilds in Fisherman Legend become sticky for the remaining feature. W1 is the boundary event that caused the upgrade; whether that same event is made sticky must be established by the active rules and history, not inferred retrospectively from the two later landings. The arithmetic example records that limitation rather than quietly extending persistence to an unverified boundary state.
Official sources
Bottom line: distinguish the locked-symbol respin from the later Fish Collection, then track the Wild meter through the three bonus tiers.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
