Betty Bonkers — read the feature menu before the spin

A compact 3×3 layout can switch into multiplier, Wild, linked-reel, symbol-removal, jackpot or Free Spin modes with stronger versions in the bonus.

Betty Bonkers by Quickspin is a 3×3, five-line slot with a rotating menu of feature spins, fixed jackpot tiers, standard Free Spins and a twenty-spin Mega feature.

Published configurations

Quickspin says the title supports three RTP versions at roughly 96%, 94% and 87% and describes it as high volatility. The live help must identify the exact configured percentage. Do not convert the word “roughly” into a more precise claim.

The product page states that bonus play can exceed 10,000x, but that does not make the figure a likely result or personal target.

Base feature menu

Multiplier Spin selects a random x3–x5 multiplier. Wild Spin adds one or two Wilds. Link Spin links two adjacent reels. Symbol Removal removes the two lowest symbols for the feature spin.

The fixed jackpot feature awards Mini at 10x, Midi at 100x or Mega at 1,000x the bet. These are bet multiples, not progressive currency values.

The standard Free Spins feature awards six, nine or twelve spins. Mega Free Spins awards twenty.

Stronger bonus versions

Inside Free Spins, the menu effects become stronger: multipliers are x6–x10, Wild Spin adds three or four Wilds, Link Spin links all reels, and Symbol Removal removes the four lowest symbols. Jackpot awards can reach the documented upper tier.

A further Free Spins menu result adds a +1 multiplier, one spin and a new feature. Record the active menu items and multiplier rather than counting only remaining spins.

Mobile and evidence checks

On mobile, the 3×3 grid, selected feature and multiplier must remain visible together. Fixed jackpot labels should clearly show bet multiples rather than ambiguous currency totals.

Dog Town Deal also uses a retro entertainment theme but a completely different card-hand ladder. The Quickspin guide explains version checks.

Reading the compact 3×3 layout

Betty Bonkers uses three reels, three visible rows and five fixed bet lines. Before a spin, record the total stake and active RTP. After the reels settle, trace every award against the five-line table rather than treating any three adjacent symbols as a win.

The small grid makes the selected feature especially important. A line can be altered by added Wilds, linked reels, symbol removal or a multiplier, but only the feature identified for that spin applies. Save the menu result before evaluating the reel state.

Keep the raw line subtotal separate from any feature multiplier. This allows the server total to be reconstructed without applying the multiplier twice.

Feature-menu selection

The base game can select Multiplier Spin, Wild Spin, Link Spin, Symbol Removal, Fixed Jackpot, Free Spins Bonus or Mega Free Spins. Record the icon or label, activation time and resulting mode.

Do not assume that every menu item modifies the same reel calculation. The fixed jackpot produces one of three bet-multiple awards, while standard and Mega Free Spins open separate feature sequences. The other items alter one feature spin.

If an animation cycles through several icons before stopping, only the final selected result is evidence. A screenshot taken during the cycle does not establish the awarded mode.

Base Multiplier Spin

In the base game, Multiplier Spin selects a random multiplier from ×3 to ×5. Capture the selected value and the feature-spin grid. Calculate the five-line subtotal first, then compare the multiplied result with the history.

The range does not mean the player chooses ×5 or that all three values are applied together. One displayed multiplier governs the feature spin. If the spin has no qualifying line award, do not invent a separate multiplier payment.

Store base subtotal, selected multiplier and final subtotal in different columns. This is the simplest way to identify a display or transcription error.

Base Wild Spin

Wild Spin adds one or two random Wilds to the feature spin. Record whether one or two were added and their final coordinates. Distinguish added Wilds from any symbol that may already function as Wild under the paytable.

Trace each affected payline after the added symbols are in place. The provider description does not say the player selects the positions, so use the server result and do not reconstruct a preferred placement.

One or two describes the base version. The stronger Free Spins version uses a different range and should not be applied here.

Link Spin connects two adjacent reels for the feature spin. Record the linked reel pair and the symbol state shown after linking. Adjacent means neighbouring reels on this three-reel layout; the actual pair comes from the result.

Use the live paytable to understand how the linked state participates in the five lines. Do not describe all three reels as linked in the base game. That stronger rule belongs to Free Spins.

Capture the pre-link and settled linked state where history provides both. The final award must match the server’s feature calculation, not a generic interpretation borrowed from another linked-reel slot.

Base Symbol Removal

Symbol Removal removes the two lowest symbol types for the feature spin. Record the active paytable ranking, the two removed types and the resulting symbol pool.

The rule removes types, not merely two individual cells. Verify the actual grid and feature label. Do not remove jackpot, feature or special symbols unless the live help explicitly includes them.

Evaluate the settled five lines after removal. An altered symbol distribution does not ensure a payout.

Mini fixed jackpot

The Mini fixed jackpot awards 10× the bet. Record the base bet, Mini label and resulting currency amount. Because it is fixed in bet units, its displayed money value changes with the selected stake.

Do not report it as a progressive pool or a site-wide currency figure. There is no changing jackpot amount to copy between casinos under this rule.

The award should be reconciled as 10 multiplied by the recorded total bet, subject to the exact stake definition in live help.

Midi fixed jackpot

The Midi tier awards 100× the bet. Save the selected tier and feature result before converting to account currency.

Mini, Midi and Mega are mutually distinguishable menu outcomes. Do not add the 10× Mini amount to a Midi award unless the server history shows a separate concurrent event.

The fixed tier remains 100× in the provider description; a promotional banner cannot replace the game history as evidence.

Mega fixed jackpot

The base-game Mega tier awards 1,000× the bet. Record the Mega label, stake and final credit. It is still a fixed bet multiple rather than a progressive jackpot.

The provider also describes larger jackpot awards inside Free Spins. Keep the base 1,000× tier and feature-specific menu state separate so the same name is not applied to different contexts.

A 1,000× listed tier is not a prediction of frequency. The source does not state how often the feature selects it in the visible text.

Standard Free Spins entry

The standard feature awards six, nine or twelve Free Spins. Capture the selected starting count and the transition into bonus mode. Do not average the three options or assume that every entry begins with twelve.

Record the active feature menu and multiplier state at the start. Inside Free Spins, menu effects use their enhanced forms. Every spin should include the selected effect, grid, raw award, applied multiplier and remaining counter.

The provider page does not publish a buy price for this title in the visible feature description, so do not invent one.

Mega Free Spins entry

Mega Free Spins awards twenty spins. Save the explicit Mega selection and 20-spin opening counter. It should not be confused with the base Mega fixed jackpot of 1,000×.

Use a feature-level record to distinguish entry type, because both standard and Mega routes can later use enhanced menu items. The longer starting counter does not guarantee any fixed jackpot or final multiple.

If the history shows added spins, record them separately from the initial twenty.

Enhanced Multiplier Spin

Inside Free Spins, Multiplier Spin selects a random value from ×6 to ×10. Record one selected multiplier for the relevant spin and apply it to the raw feature-spin result as displayed.

Do not carry a base-game ×3–×5 value into the bonus. Conversely, do not use ×6–×10 on an ordinary paid spin. Mode is part of the rule.

If an accumulated +1 multiplier is also active from a Free Spins menu award, record the base selected multiplier and persistent increment separately before confirming the final applied value.

Enhanced Wild Spin

The Free Spins version adds three or four random Wilds. Mark each added coordinate and the number awarded. This is stronger than the base range of one or two.

After insertion, evaluate the five paylines and preserve the server subtotal. The Wild count alone does not determine the award because positions and other symbols still matter.

If a feature icon or overlay hides a cell, use completed history before calculating.

During Free Spins, Link Spin links all three reels. Record the all-reel link state and the resulting feature grid. Do not reduce it to the base rule of two adjacent reels.

Use the live help to interpret how the link duplicates or connects symbols for the line result. The provider page confirms the scope but the settled history provides the exact symbols and award.

Store the feature name and mode beside the spin so a later reviewer can reproduce why all reels behaved together.

Enhanced Symbol Removal

Inside Free Spins, Symbol Removal removes the four lowest symbol types. Capture the paytable ranking and the four excluded types. This is twice the base-game count.

Evaluate the resulting grid without assuming a win. Removing low symbols changes the available pool but does not promise a particular combination.

Do not include special feature icons in the four unless the actual rules identify them as removable paying types.

Jackpot result inside Free Spins

The provider page states that Free Spins can award jackpots up to 10,000× the bet. Record the exact tier and amount shown by the game. “Up to” is a ceiling statement, not proof that every jackpot selection pays 10,000×.

Keep this bonus context separate from the base Mini, Midi and Mega values. Do not replace a displayed lower award with the upper headline.

Reconcile the award using the base bet recorded for the feature and the server’s final total.

Free Spins menu award

When the Free Spins menu itself is selected during bonus play, the game awards a +1 multiplier, one additional Free Spin and one new feature from the menu. Record all three changes.

The multiplier increment can persist in the feature state, so track its running value before and after each such award. Add exactly one spin to the counter and identify the newly added feature.

Do not choose which feature is added. Preserve the selected icon or label and the later spin on which it becomes relevant.

Building the active feature set

The bonus can accumulate menu features. Maintain a list with activation order, persistent multiplier increments and any feature that applies to the current spin. This is more reliable than recording only remaining spins.

When a new feature is added, save the menu state before and after. Do not assume that adding one removes an earlier feature unless the live interface explicitly shows replacement.

For every feature spin, state which effects were active and in what order the game applied them. The server history remains authoritative where multiple effects overlap.

Distinguishing multipliers

There can be a selected Multiplier Spin value and a persistent +1 increment from a Free Spins menu result. Store them as separate fields. The visible final multiplier should be checked against the game’s displayed formula rather than combined by guesswork.

Do not automatically add +1 to a fixed jackpot. The increment belongs to the bonus feature state, and its treatment must follow the live help and server result.

If the history shows only the final value, preserve the menu sequence and request detailed calculation when needed.

RTP model evidence

Quickspin describes three RTP versions at roughly 96%, 94% and 87%. “Roughly” should remain part of any summary until the exact active percentage is read from the game help or official sheet.

Do not infer extra decimal places from another Quickspin game. Record the Game ID, RTP and date for the deployed version.

High volatility is the provider’s model description. It does not mean the fixed jackpot or Mega Free Spins will appear within a particular number of rounds.

Three supplier models and an incomplete return panel

The linked three-page supplier sheet provides more precise reference fields than the rounded percentages in the product summary. Match the identifier first; the same artwork does not identify the installed mathematical version.

Supplier Game ID Printed total RTP Printed volatility Reference euro stake range Default reference bet
bettybonkers 96.10% 5 on a 1–5 scale €0.10–€100 €1
bettybonkers94 94.19% 5 on a 1–5 scale €0.10–€100 €1
bettybonkers87 87.15% 5 on a 1–5 scale €0.10–€100 €1

These are supplier reference configurations, not evidence that an operator offers every version or accepts those stakes in account currency. The launched information panel must settle the deployed identifier, percentage and limits.

There is also a limitation in the sheet’s return breakdown. Its visible base and free-game figures do not sum to its printed total. The table below records that gap rather than inserting an unnamed feature contribution.

Model Printed base-game figure Printed free-game figure Their arithmetic sum Printed total minus that sum
bettybonkers 41.63% 30.27% 71.90% 24.20 percentage points
bettybonkers94 41.63% 28.82% 70.45% 23.74 percentage points
bettybonkers87 41.66% 23.47% 65.13% 22.02 percentage points

The last column is a subtraction, not a newly verified category. It does not establish whether menu spins, jackpots or some other accounting classification account for the difference. Nor should the two printed figures be normalised to 100% or described as the probability of entering Free Spins. Obtain the applicable technical explanation before reproducing a complete component breakdown.

Convert a fixed tier without mixing mode multipliers

For a purely illustrative stake of 0.40 account-currency units, the documented base Mini, Midi and Mega multiples convert to 10 × 0.40 = 4, 100 × 0.40 = 40 and 1,000 × 0.40 = 400 units respectively. This calculation demonstrates units only; it does not claim that any tier appeared or that this stake is available in a particular client.

Keep that fixed-tier worksheet separate from a line-win worksheet. An independently invented line subtotal of 2 units and a selected base ×3 multiplier would produce 6 units if the rules apply that multiplier to that subtotal. Applying ×3 again to the 4-unit Mini calculation would be a different, unverified operation. The public summary does not establish that combination. A result investigation should therefore ask which award type was selected and which subtotal the engine actually multiplied, rather than multiplying every visible number together.

Interpreting the 10,000× statement

The provider says that more than 10,000× can be won in the Free Spins Bonus and separately describes jackpot awards up to 10,000×. Preserve the wording and context; do not turn it into a guaranteed maximum without the exact active paytable.

A headline potential is not a session forecast. For an actual round, use the server total and the applied feature sequence.

If different RTP configurations publish different formal maximums in their sheets, map each value to its version rather than presenting one universal number.

Round and feature worksheet

For base spins record round ID, stake, RTP, menu selection, grid, line subtotal, multiplier, Wild positions, linked reels, removed types, jackpot tier and final total.

For Free Spins add entry type, starting counter, current counter, active feature set, persistent multiplier, newly awarded feature and any added spin. This structure keeps similarly named base and bonus effects apart.

At completion, sum feature awards and compare them with the server total and account ledger credit.

Worked menu sequence

Suppose a base feature selects Wild Spin and adds two Wilds. Record their coordinates and evaluate the five lines. Do not apply the enhanced three-to-four range.

During Free Spins, suppose the menu awards +1 multiplier, one spin and Link Spin. Record the counter increase, persistent increment and newly active all-reel link. On the relevant spin, capture the linked grid and applied multiplier exactly as displayed.

This example explains state tracking only. It does not claim a frequency, symbol result or payout.

Mobile verification

On a phone, the 3×3 grid, selected menu effect, multiplier and counter should remain visible. Jackpot labels must show that amounts are bet multiples rather than ambiguous progressive currency pots.

Use completed history when the menu animation covers the reels. A spinning feature wheel is not evidence until it settles on one result.

The interface should distinguish base and Free Spins versions of the same icon, because their strength ranges differ.

Support evidence package

Provide title, Game ID, exact RTP, stake, round ID, menu selection and settled grid. Add feature-specific data: multiplier, Wild coordinates, linked reels, removed types or jackpot tier.

For Free Spins include entry type, starting counter, accumulated features, +1 increments and each added spin. Account credentials are not required for a result investigation.

Source and New Zealand scope

Quickspin’s page supports the layout, menu ranges, jackpot tiers and Free Spins counts. It does not prove that Betty Bonkers is listed by a New Zealand casino or which exact RTP version is deployed locally.

The retro lounge hero is original editorial artwork and not a reel screenshot or celebrity likeness. Use current game help and history for operational claims and date any operator availability check.

Official sources

Bottom line: identify the active menu effect first, then apply its base-game or Free Spin strength to the result.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
