Beastwood — every win can open another reel
The game begins with three reels. A win adds a reel, and a new reel that extends the same win can add another, while multipliers compound along the route.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Beastwood by Quickspin is a high-volatility Ways game whose reel count can continue expanding after wins. Quickspin lists a maximum win of 29,000× and three RTP models: 87%, 94% and 96%. The active game help must identify the version in use.
Expanding Ways
The game starts with three reels, each four symbols high. A win requires matching symbols on at least three consecutive reels from the left. Any win adds a new reel on the right; if that reel extends an existing win, another reel is added. Quickspin describes the growth as open-ended.
Evaluate the sequence reel by reel. Record the initial chain, the added reel and whether it contains the matching symbol. Do not treat the largest reel count shown in promotional artwork as a fixed grid.
Two multiplier layers
Each symbol has its own Symbol Win Multiplier, beginning at 1×. Extra copies of a winning symbol on a reel can increase that symbol’s multiplier. Reel Multipliers can then multiply the existing Symbol Win Multiplier.
In the base game, every third reel from reel five carries a 2× Reel Multiplier. The multiplier applies only when that reel participates in the win. Because a newly won multiplier multiplies the existing value, the sequence is multiplicative rather than additive.
Free Spins and version checks
Four Bonus symbols award ten Free Spins, and every additional Bonus adds three. During Free Spins, every reel from reel four has a Reel Multiplier. A Bonus symbol landing during the feature adds one Free Spin.
Quickspin mentions a Buy feature but does not print its price in the readable public feature copy. Check the live help rather than borrowing a value from another game. Availability can vary by market.
On mobile, verify the complete expanding reel chain, symbol-specific multiplier and reel multiplier markers. Save the Game ID, RTP, total bet and final reel count when checking a disputed result.
Sticky Bandits Trail of Blood uses fixed reels and sticky Wilds instead. The Quickspin catalogue guide separates provider facts from operator availability.
Reading the opening three reels
Every Beastwood result starts with three reels, each four symbols high. Record all twelve opening positions and the symbol counts on each reel. A win needs the same symbol on at least three consecutive reels beginning with reel one.
Do not count a chain that starts on reel two. The leftmost-reel condition is part of the Ways rule. Use the paytable to identify the symbol’s single entry before applying its multiplier.
Save the opening chain as E3, with the symbol, copies per reel and raw paytable value.
Awarding reel four
Any qualifying three-reel win adds one reel on the right. Capture the new reel and every symbol it reveals. The fourth reel becomes part of the same expansion sequence.
If it contains the winning symbol, the existing chain extends and another reel is awarded. If it does not, the chain stops growing for that symbol.
Do not assume reel four is permanently present on the next paid spin; the game begins again from its documented opening state.
Continuing beyond four reels
Every added reel that extends an existing win can award another reel. Label states E4, E5 and onward and preserve the newly revealed four positions each time.
Several symbols can have opening wins, so record which existing chain each new reel extends. A reel can affect one symbol’s route while failing to extend another.
Quickspin calls the growth open-ended, but a specific round stops at the final reel shown by the server. Do not publish a fixed maximum reel count without evidence.
Counting symbol copies
For each winning symbol, count how many copies appear on every participating reel. Multiple copies influence the Symbol Win Multiplier under the provider rule.
Store reel-by-reel counts rather than only a total. A distribution of two symbols on one reel and one on another can affect the multiplier chronology differently from three on one reel.
Do not include copies on a reel that lies beyond the final consecutive chain.
Symbol Win Multiplier starts at one
Each winning symbol has its own multiplier beginning at 1×. Create a separate ledger for every symbol type that wins on the opening three reels.
When the game awards a new multiplier because multiple copies participate, record the value and multiply it into the existing Symbol Win Multiplier. Do not add it unless the live history explicitly shows addition.
One symbol’s multiplier does not apply to another symbol’s win.
Multiplicative updates
Quickspin states that every new multiplier multiplies the existing Symbol Win Multiplier. Record the expression in order, such as 1× × A × B, before writing the product.
This matters because 2× followed by 3× produces 6×, not 5×. Preserve the server’s multiplier labels instead of inferring values from copy count alone.
Apply the finished symbol multiplier to that symbol’s one paytable entry at the end of the spin.
Base-game Reel Multipliers
Starting with reel five, every third reel carries a 2× Reel Multiplier in the base game. Record the reel numbers marked by the actual expanding sequence.
The 2× applies only when that reel belongs to the winning chain being calculated. A multiplier reel visible beyond a stopped chain cannot affect it.
When several multiplier reels participate, record each 2× application in order and multiply it into the current Symbol Win Multiplier.
Separating multiplier sources
Use distinct columns for copy-derived multiplier events and Reel Multiplier events. Both can multiply the same symbol ledger, but they arise from different evidence.
A final 8× value cannot reveal whether it came from copies, two Reel Multipliers or another combination. The event log provides that explanation.
Do not apply one reel marker globally to every symbol unless each winning chain reaches that reel.
Calculating one symbol award
At round end, take the paytable entry for the symbol and multiply it by the final Symbol Win Multiplier. Quickspin describes one paytable entry per symbol rather than a separate value for every chain length.
Record raw entry, multiplier expression and final award. If several symbol types win, calculate each separately and sum their results.
Compare the sum with the server round total before converting bet units to account currency.
Four Bonus symbols
Four Bonus symbols anywhere award ten Free Spins. Save every Bonus coordinate and the ten-spin opening counter.
The trigger is an anywhere count, separate from the left-to-right Ways rule. Do not require the Bonus symbols to occupy consecutive reels unless the live help adds that condition.
Ten is the starting feature length before extra Bonus symbols or later additions.
Additional trigger Bonus symbols
Every Bonus symbol above four adds three Free Spins. Record the total trigger count and calculate the starting counter as ten plus three for each additional symbol.
Do not create a separate feature for every extra Bonus. They extend the one Ragnarök-style—here Beastwood—Free Spins entry described by the game.
Preserve the server’s displayed counter rather than assuming a physical maximum number of Bonus symbols on an expanding grid.
Bonus Reel Multipliers
During Free Spins, every reel starting from reel four has a Reel Multiplier. This is stronger than the base rule, where every third reel from reel five is marked.
Record every participating reel four and beyond. Apply its displayed multiplier only to symbol chains that reach it.
Do not use the base spacing rule inside the feature. Label mode on every calculation row.
Bonus-symbol spin additions
Each Bonus symbol that lands during Free Spins adds one spin. Record the Bonus coordinate, counter before and counter after.
The symbol can appear on an expanding reel, so save the full state showing where it landed. Do not add three spins; the +3 rule belongs to additional symbols on initial entry.
Added spins continue the same feature and should not debit another ordinary stake.
Expansion during Free Spins
Begin each feature spin from the documented opening reels, then follow every win-added reel. Record the stronger multiplier markers from reel four onward.
The feature counter changes only after the spin and any Bonus additions settle. Keep expansion state and remaining spins in separate columns.
At the next Free Spin, start a new expansion record rather than carrying the previous spin’s reel count unless the live game explicitly does so.
Buy Feature evidence
The provider overview confirms a Buy Feature but does not publish its price in the readable text. Record the live confirmation or leave price unverified.
Do not borrow a purchase multiple from another Quickspin game. Save the delivered Bonus count, starting spins, account debit and active RTP.
The existence of a provider feature does not prove that a New Zealand-facing integration enables it.
RTP configurations
Quickspin lists 87%, 94% and 96% models. Record the exact value and Game ID from the live help. They are alternatives, not a player return range for one session.
Date the check because an operator can change its configuration while keeping the same title and artwork.
RTP does not predict how many reels will open or when a 2× reel marker will participate.
Maximum-win statement
The provider publishes up to 29,000× the bet. Record it as the title’s stated maximum and confirm the active paytable version.
Do not describe 29,000× as likely, guaranteed or an additional award beyond the round total. It is a limit statement.
If a sheet maps different limits to RTP versions, preserve that mapping rather than assuming one universal figure.
Expansion worksheet
Use columns for round ID, stake, RTP, state, reel count, new reel, symbol, copies per reel, copy multiplier, participating Reel Multipliers and final Symbol Win Multiplier.
For Free Spins add counter, trigger Bonus count and +1 additions. Give every symbol type a separate multiplier row.
At round end, compare calculated symbol awards with the server total and account ledger.
Worked opening chain
Suppose symbol A appears on each of the opening three reels. Record its one paytable entry and copy counts. Reel four is added because the win exists.
If reel four also contains A, extend the chain and add reel five. If reel five is a marked multiplier reel and contains A, apply its 2× to A’s existing Symbol Win Multiplier.
This example explains chronology without assigning fictional values or frequencies.
Worked multiple-symbol state
Suppose symbols A and B both win on the first three reels. Track two ledgers. A new reel may extend A but not B, so later reel multipliers can apply only to A.
Do not use A’s final multiplier for B. Calculate each symbol from its own paytable entry and multiplier expression, then sum the awards.
The server history should identify the last reel reached by each chain.
Mobile display checks
On a phone, the entire horizontal expansion must remain accessible. Reel numbers, four-symbol height and multiplier markers should not be cropped.
Use completed history when a long chain exceeds the viewport. A screenshot of only the newest reel cannot prove the opening copies or earlier multiplier events.
The Free Spins counter should remain visible while the reel strip grows.
Support evidence package
Provide title, Game ID, RTP, stake, round ID, every added reel and symbol-copy count. Include separate copy and Reel Multiplier events for each winning symbol.
For Free Spins add trigger count, starting counter and each Bonus-symbol +1. For a buy, attach the live price and debit.
No password or payment secret is needed to investigate the game calculation.
Source and market scope
Quickspin’s page supports opening reels, expansion, multiplier layers, Free Spins additions, RTPs and maximum. It does not establish a New Zealand casino listing or local buy availability.
The forest-hunter hero is original editorial artwork rather than a reel capture. Use current help and server history for deployed facts and keep Beastwood separate from Wins of Fortune or Wild Chase: Tokyo Go.
Closing the expansion record
Before closing a Beastwood round, create one final row for every winning symbol type. List its last consecutive reel, the number of copies used on each participating reel, every copy-based multiplier event and every Reel Multiplier reached by that chain. A reel visible on the far right must not be included if the symbol chain stopped earlier.
Compare each expression with the final Symbol Win Multiplier shown by the server. Because new factors multiply the existing value, preserve the order and intermediate products rather than writing only the result. This makes an accidental addition or duplicated 2× marker easy to detect.
Next reconcile the symbol awards. Quickspin describes one paytable entry for each symbol, multiplied by its final symbol-specific value. Keep separate subtotals for simultaneous winners and add them only after each chain has been independently checked. Do not multiply the combined round total by the largest factor visible on the screen.
For Free Spins, verify that the stronger reel-marker rule began at reel four and that each Bonus symbol added exactly one spin. Keep those additions separate from the initial ten spins plus three for each trigger Bonus above four. Finally, compare the calculated feature total with the server history and account ledger credit, confirming that additional reels and spins did not consume separate ordinary stakes.
Distinguishing extension from a new win
A newly added reel can extend an existing symbol chain, create evidence for another symbol already winning on the opening reels, or fail to extend either. Record each symbol independently after the reel appears. The existence of any win caused the reel to be awarded, but another reel is added only when the new reel extends an existing win under the published rule.
Do not treat an unrelated symbol appearing solely on the new reel as a new left-to-right chain. It lacks the required matching presence from reel one through the preceding reels. Likewise, do not award a further reel merely because the added reel contains a high-paying symbol that does not continue a current route.
This distinction is important when several opening wins coexist. Reel four may extend symbol A and earn reel five. If B’s consecutive chain already failed on reel four, B cannot resume that same left-to-right chain on reel five. Preserve each symbol’s last qualifying reel and the server history so the reason for each additional reel remains visible.
Exact reference identifiers distinguish the rounded RTP families
The publisher links three supplier-sheet pages rather than a single universal return. Their reference fields are:
| Supplier identifier | Printed total RTP | Base contribution | Free Game contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
beastwood |
96.11% | 67.18% | 28.93% |
beastwood94 |
94.19% | 66.72% | 27.46% |
beastwood87 |
87.15% | 65.07% | 22.08% |
All three list volatility five out of five and euro reference stakes €0.20–€100, with €1 default. The middle components sum to 94.18%, 0.01 below its printed 94.19%; retain that small discrepancy rather than inventing hidden precision. These supplier IDs do not prove a current operator mapping.
The pages report observed peaks of 29,541.20×, 29,520.60× and 24,618.50× in 100 million spins. The first two exceed the current HTML’s 29,000× statement. Do not replace a contractual limit with sample data or guess why the source figures differ.
A stopped symbol chain cannot borrow a later reel marker
Consider a hypothetical base round whose A chain reaches reel eight while B’s chain ends at reel four. The base marker schedule starts at five and repeats every third reel, so five and eight are the relevant marker reels for A. Their presence on the expanded board does not make them part of B’s stopped chain.
Assume the replay separately documents an A copy-derived factor of three and a B copy-derived factor of two. These are invented inputs; no formula mapping a particular symbol count to those factors is assumed. Give A an illustrative paytable entry of two bet units and B an entry of one.
| Symbol record | Hypothetical factor expression | Final factor | Illustrative award |
|---|---|---|---|
| A, consecutive through reel eight | 1 × 3 × 2 × 2 | 12 | 2 × 12 = 24 bet units |
| B, consecutive through reel four | 1 × 2 | 2 | 1 × 2 = 2 bet units |
| Combined award | Add the two adjusted awards | Not a shared factor | 26 bet units |
Using the largest factor for both symbols would incorrectly give (2 + 1) × 12 = 36. Applying the five/eight markers to B would instead produce a factor eight and an eight-unit B award. Both mistakes ignore the last consecutive reel in B’s record.
A B symbol appearing again on reel six cannot repair its absence on reel five or revive a chain that already stopped at four. Record that later symbol as a visible non-participant, not as a new link across the gap. A can still justify subsequent expansion while B remains closed.
The example concerns base spacing only. During Free Spins, the supplier uses a marker on every reel from four onward; a feature reconstruction would need a different marker list. Keep mode beside the expression before multiplying. Nor should a product of factors be counted again as a number of separate wins: each symbol uses its documented paytable entry and adjusted symbol multiplier, then the awards are added once.
Bet-unit and currency reconciliation
Keep all paytable entries, symbol multipliers and the 29,000× ceiling in bet units while auditing the game logic. Convert the final server award into account currency using the total bet recorded for that round and the paytable’s stated basis.
Do not multiply by a line stake unless the active help defines values that way. The site’s account ledger supplies the definitive credited currency amount. If it differs from the reconstructed total, preserve the Game ID, version, complete expanding grid and multiplier expression for support rather than changing the documented rule to fit the balance.

Bottom line: follow the left-to-right chain and apply each symbol and reel multiplier only after the new reel proves it extends the win.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
