Trail of Blood — five Wild identities, one sticky line
Every reel has its own Wild. Three begin the bonus, new Wilds stay for the feature, and one Wild on every reel along a payline forms the Blood Line.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Sticky Bandits Trail of Blood by Quickspin is a five-reel, ten-line, high-volatility game with one Wild identity per reel and a Revenge Free Spins feature. The public page explains the rules but does not print an RTP percentage in its readable feature copy; check the active game help.
Five Wilds and the bonus trigger
Wilds can appear on every reel and substitute for ordinary symbols. Although their artwork is reel-specific, Quickspin says they work under the same rules. Three or more Wilds anywhere trigger Revenge Free Spins.
Three Wilds award ten spins, four award twelve, and five award fourteen. The Wilds that trigger the feature become sticky immediately and remain in place until the bonus ends.
Every additional Wild landing during Free Spins also becomes sticky and adds one extra Free Spin. Keep a position map after each spin: reel, row and Wild identity. A Wild that remains fixed changes the possible line structure of later spins.
The Blood Line
A Blood Line is formed when one Wild appears on every reel along a winning payline. Quickspin states that this configuration stays sticky for the rest of the bonus and awards 300× per spin.
This is not simply five Wilds anywhere. Their positions must align on one of the ten paylines. Use the paytable line map to verify the path before applying the published value.
Evidence and mobile checks
The provider describes high volatility and high maximum wins but does not print a maximum or RTP in the public feature text. Do not invent either. Record the live Game ID, RTP, line stake and total bet.
On mobile, verify that all ten paylines can be opened, each sticky Wild remains visible and the Free Spin count updates when a new Wild lands. A screen capture after every added Wild provides a clearer audit trail than one final image.
The story theme does not establish casino availability. The official page documents game mechanics, not access from New Zealand or operator terms.
Beastwood expands its grid rather than fixing Wild positions. The Quickspin guide explains the provider-versus-operator boundary.
Reading the five-reel, ten-line grid
Start with the complete settled grid, total stake and line map. Trace ordinary wins across the ten fixed paylines and record every Wild substitution. The five Wild designs are reel-specific identities, not five different substitution rules.
Store reel and row for each Wild. A generic count is enough to identify the bonus tier, but exact coordinates are required to test a Blood Line and to follow sticky positions through Free Spins.
Keep normal line awards separate from the trigger. Three Wilds can start the feature even when they do not align on one winning payline.
Reel-one Wild
The first Wild identity belongs to reel one. Record its row and every line on which it substitutes. In Free Spins, mark it sticky from the trigger or from the spin where it lands.
Because a Blood Line must begin on reel one, its position defines which official paylines remain possible for the complete five-reel path.
Do not move a reel-one Wild to another row in later screenshots; its sticky state should remain fixed until the feature ends.
Reel-two Wild
Record the reel-two Wild independently. Compare its row with the next coordinate on each candidate payline emerging from the reel-one Wild.
A reel-two Wild in a nonmatching row can still substitute in ordinary wins and count toward the feature trigger. It simply does not extend that particular Blood Line route.
When it becomes sticky, preserve its landing spin and the +1 Free Spin event if it appeared during the feature.
Reel-three Wild
The reel-three Wild forms the centre of the five-reel line path. Save its coordinate and compare it with the official middle position for each candidate line.
Do not assume that a centre-row Wild always creates a valid route. Some ten-line patterns bend above or below it, and the other reels must align on the same numbered payline.
Its substitution and sticky rules remain the same as the other Wild identities.
Reel-four Wild
Record the fourth-reel Wild and the candidate lines it can continue from reels one through three. A visual diagonal is not sufficient unless it matches an official line.
If it lands during Free Spins, add one to the counter once and fix the symbol in place. Do not repeat the addition on every later spin merely because the Wild remains visible.
Preserve its first landing state separately from subsequent sticky appearances.
Reel-five Wild
The fifth-reel Wild completes a Blood Line only when its row matches the fifth coordinate of the same payline used by the first four Wilds.
Record the exact spin on which the complete route first appears. The final Wild also adds one Free Spin if it is newly landed during the bonus.
Five Wilds distributed across the reels but following different paylines do not meet the published Blood Line condition.
Triggering with three Wilds
Three Wild symbols anywhere award ten Revenge Free Spins. Save all three coordinates and the opening counter. Their reel-specific artwork proves identity but does not require them to be consecutive.
The triggering Wilds become sticky for the full feature. Create a starting map before the first Free Spin and retain it in every later state.
Ten is the initial award; new Wilds can extend the feature one spin at a time.
Triggering with four Wilds
Four Wilds anywhere award twelve Free Spins. Record the four-symbol grid and twelve-spin transition.
Do not combine the ten- and twelve-spin tiers. One settled trigger count selects one package.
All four starting Wilds become sticky, leaving only the missing reel or row path to be filled for candidate Blood Lines.
Triggering with five Wilds
Five Wilds anywhere award fourteen Free Spins. Save every coordinate and the fourteen-spin opening counter.
Five triggering Wilds may already form a Blood Line, but that requires a separate line-map check. Do not infer alignment from the count.
If they do align, record the payline and the first spin on which the 300× state applies under the live history.
Sticky trigger positions
Wilds that initiate Revenge Free Spins remain in their original positions until the bonus ends. Use a 5×3 coordinate map and mark each fixed cell before play continues.
For every feature spin, compare the current map with the previous one. Existing sticky Wilds should not move, vanish or generate another +1 spin event.
If the interface shows an animation over a fixed symbol, rely on the settled grid and history.
New Wild during Free Spins
Every additional Wild landing in the bonus becomes sticky and awards one extra Free Spin. Record its identity, coordinate, counter before and counter after.
The +1 belongs to the landing event, not every later appearance. Add the coordinate to the persistent map after the spin resolves.
If several new Wilds land together, use the displayed counter transition and record each symbol rather than guessing the combined addition.
Building a candidate Blood Line
Choose a numbered payline and list its row on reels one through five. Compare the sticky map with that exact five-coordinate route.
The candidate becomes complete only when every required position contains the corresponding reel-specific Wild. Other sticky Wilds outside the path do not invalidate it but cannot fill missing coordinates.
Repeat the check for each of the ten lines because one map can potentially satisfy more than one route only if the coordinates support it.
Confirming the Blood Line
When a complete Wild route appears, save the grid, payline number and game acknowledgement. Quickspin describes the configuration as one Wild per reel on a win line.
Do not call five scattered Wilds a Blood Line. Draw or list the five coordinates and match them with the official line table.
Once confirmed, retain the complete route in the sticky map for the rest of the bonus.
The published 300× per spin
Quickspin states that the Blood Line rewards 300× per spin for the rest of the bonus. Record the first applicable spin, remaining counter and displayed 300× award on each later spin.
Use the live history to determine whether the completion spin itself receives the amount and how overlapping ordinary line wins are shown. Do not add assumptions to the public sentence.
Treat 300× as a bet multiple, not a fixed currency jackpot. Convert using the recorded total bet and paytable basis.
More than one candidate line
A dense sticky map can satisfy several official paylines. Record every completed route, but do not assume that each pays a separate 300× unless the server history confirms that treatment.
The public page describes “a Blood Line” and 300× per spin. Where multiple lines exist, the deployed paytable is required for exact calculation.
Preserve the grid and line numbers for support rather than choosing the largest interpretation.
Remaining-spin calculation
Track scheduled spins and +1 additions in separate columns. A new Wild can both complete a Blood Line and extend the counter.
Record counter before the landing, increment, spin consumption and counter after exactly as displayed. This shows how many future spins should carry the sticky configuration.
Do not add one for a Wild that was already sticky at the start of the spin.
No published buy claim
The readable provider page does not state a Buy Feature or price for Trail of Blood. Do not add one from another Sticky Bandits title.
If a deployed version shows a purchase control, capture its own help and confirmation before describing it. Otherwise omit a buy price.
This keeps product-page evidence separate from operator-specific integrations.
RTP and maximum evidence
The public feature text describes high volatility and high maximum wins but prints neither an RTP percentage nor a maximum figure. Record both from the active help or exact official sheet if available.
Do not infer values from the franchise’s earlier games. Shared characters do not imply shared math.
If the live help omits a value, label it unconfirmed rather than filling the gap.
Feature map worksheet
Use columns for spin, counter, reel-one Wild row, reel-two row, reel-three row, reel-four row, reel-five row, newly landed Wilds and line candidates.
Add confirmed Blood Line number, first applicable 300× state, ordinary line subtotal and final spin subtotal. Preserve trigger Wilds and later Wilds with different landing labels.
At feature end, reconcile every +1 counter event and sticky coordinate with the server history.
Worked non-Blood-Line example
Suppose one Wild appears on each reel, but their rows are top, top, bottom, centre and top. Compare that vector with all ten paylines.
If none matches, the grid has five Wilds but no Blood Line. The Wilds still substitute and remain sticky, and any newly landed one still adds a spin.
This example explains validation and does not state that the row vector occurs in play.
Worked completion example
Suppose four sticky Wilds already occupy four coordinates of payline six. A new reel-five Wild lands on the missing fifth coordinate.
Record the +1 spin, add the Wild to the map, verify all five coordinates and save the Blood Line acknowledgement. From the applicable state onward, compare the 300× entries with remaining spins.
The actual payline and timing must come from the live result.
Mobile presentation
On a phone, all five reels and sticky cells must remain visible together. Open the ten-line diagram without covering the feature grid.
The counter should visibly increase when a new Wild lands. Existing sticky Wilds need a persistent marker distinguishable without colour alone.
Use completed history if animation obscures the exact row of a new Wild.
Support evidence package
Provide title, Game ID, RTP, stake, round ID, trigger count and starting counter. Add every sticky map, new-Wild +1 event and candidate payline.
For a disputed Blood Line include the five coordinates, official line diagram, first completion state and 300× entries. Passwords and payment credentials are unnecessary.
Source and market scope
Quickspin’s page supports the layout, trigger tiers, sticky behaviour, +1 additions and Blood Line statement. It does not establish New Zealand availability, NZD stakes, RTP or a buy price.
The dark-western hero is original editorial artwork, not a reel capture. Use live help and server history for deployed facts and keep Trail of Blood separate from other Sticky Bandits releases.
Closing sticky-position audit
Before closing Revenge Free Spins, compare the final coordinate map with the trigger map. Every difference should be explained by a newly landed Wild and a corresponding one-spin addition. A symbol already present on the trigger screen or a previous feature spin must not create another counter increase simply because it remains sticky.
Next audit the line structure. For each of the ten official paylines, list the required row on reels one through five and mark whether the final map satisfies all five coordinates. Keep incomplete candidates in the record, but do not call them Blood Lines. For every completed route, preserve the first completion spin and the number of feature spins remaining after the server applies the new-Wild counter change.
Compare each displayed 300× entry with that timing. Do not extend the award backward to spins before the fifth required Wild arrived, and do not project it beyond the feature’s actual final spin. If several complete routes coexist, use the live history to determine whether the game pays one or several Blood Line amounts rather than inferring a rule from the visual grid.
Finally, reconcile the ten-, twelve- or fourteen-spin starting package, all +1 additions, ordinary line wins and Blood Line entries with the server feature total. Convert bet multiples into account currency using the recorded stake basis and compare the result with the ledger credit. Keep the Game ID, RTP if shown, full history and payline table together so a later review can distinguish a coordinate error from a payout or counter discrepancy.
Trigger count versus line alignment
Keep two conclusions in the final summary. The first states how many Wilds triggered Revenge Free Spins and therefore which starting package applied. The second states whether those Wilds, together with later sticky additions, completed an official Blood Line. One result can be confirmed while the other remains false. This separation prevents a five-Wild trigger from being automatically described as a 300× line and keeps the article faithful to the provider’s two different conditions.

Bottom line: map every sticky Wild by reel and row, then compare the resulting path with the ten official paylines.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
