Savannah Fortune: make the Hunting Reels show their maths
Expanding Wild Lions can turn trigger reels into persistent multiplier tracks. The impressive part is visual; the useful part is knowing when multipliers add, multiply and award extra spins.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Savannah Fortune by Quickspin is a 5×3, 10-line slot built around an expanding Wild Lion. Three or more lions trigger ten free spins and convert the triggering reels into Hunting Reels. During the bonus, each lion can raise a reel multiplier, and multipliers on participating Hunting Reels are multiplied together.
The official page and game sheet support those rules. They do not confirm that the game is available to New Zealand players, that a casino accepts New Zealand accounts, or that the Buy Feature is enabled locally.
Published configuration
Quickspin lists 96.27%, 94.19% and 90.12% total RTP versions. All three carry the provider’s highest volatility rating of 5/5. Reference stakes are €0.10 to €100 with a €1 default; these euro amounts are not NZD limits.
The sheet reports maximum results from simulations of 100 million spins: 12,653x for the 96% version, 11,903x for 94% and 9,733x for 90%. Quickspin’s product page also refers to wins up to 12,000x. Preserve the difference between marketing summary, simulation result and any live contractual cap.
The Buy Feature is documented only for the 96% RTP version and may not be available in all markets. That qualification is central to any accurate review.
Checking the model table without changing its numbers
The fourth page of the official Savannah Fortune sheet, visually inspected on 7 October 2026, names three distinct IDs. Keep them beside the components instead of using one unlabelled RTP range.
| Game ID | Base contribution | Free-game contribution | Printed total |
|---|---|---|---|
savannahfortune |
63.50 | 32.78 | 96.27% |
savannahfortune94 |
63.50 | 30.69 | 94.19% |
savannahfortune90 |
63.50 | 26.62 | 90.12% |
The last two rows add exactly to their displayed totals. The first sums to 96.28, one hundredth of a percentage point above its printed 96.27. Independent rounding might account for it, but the sheet supplies no underlying precision proving that explanation. Preserve the discrepancy rather than changing the supplier total, averaging the values or calling 96.28 another available configuration.
Each panel rates volatility at 5 on the supplier’s 1–5 scale and lists the same euro reference menu. These fields do not tell a reader which profile an operator launches. The three separately reported sample maxima also retain their individual IDs and 100-million-spin context. Neither a larger sample observation nor the headline 12,000× wording determines the binding termination rule of every deployment.
The 96% restriction on purchasing is a product qualification, not a reason to round every figure to a whole number. An active ID ending 94 or 90 should not be paired with the highest-return model’s purchase controls or sample maximum without newer primary evidence.
Two threshold events, two different line products
Here is an invented worksheet that begins partway through an already verified bonus, not an assertion about the opening multipliers. Assume Hunting Reel R2 currently displays 4× and R4 displays 9×, with two Free Spins remaining. A Wild Lion lands on each of those marked reels. Their documented +1 updates produce 5× and 10×, crossing two individual five-step boundaries.
Each qualifying reel grants two extra spins. If the verified interface consumes the current spin before both additions, the remaining counter becomes 2 − 1 + 2 + 2 = 5. The product 5×10=50 is not another spin award; it belongs to qualifying monetary evaluations. Both additions need their own event records so a restored counter of five is not mistaken for a spin that was never consumed.
For settlement only, suppose active paytable evidence gives the following two unmultiplied awards and confirms which Lion reels actually participate. These amounts are invented, not this game’s published symbol values or a recorded win.
| Paying combination | Unmultiplied award in bet units | Qualifying Hunting Reel factors | Settled illustration |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1, includes R2’s Lion only | 1 | 5 | 5 |
| L2, includes both Lions | 0.4 | 5×10 | 20 |
| Spin total from these two combinations | 1.4 before different factors | Do not use one global factor | 25 |
Applying 50 to the entire 1.4-unit subtotal would produce 70, overstating this example by including R4 in a combination where it does not qualify. Adding 5 and 10 would also be the wrong operation for L2. A marked reel’s stored multiplier is not automatically payable when its Lion is absent from the relevant win; use the actual result breakdown, not just the feature header.
If history already reports final credits of five and twenty, sum them once. Do not multiply twenty by 50 again. The worksheet’s two new threshold events, five remaining spins and 25-unit settlement describe different units. Keep them distinct, then check any active maximum rule before carrying the bonus into another spin. The exercise does not invent a limit, promise further Lions or resolve the supplier’s marketing-versus-simulation maximum boundary.
Base-game structure
Ten paylines evaluate combinations on five reels and three rows. The live paytable should show direction, symbol values and the exact substitution rule. The Wild Lion appears on all reels, substitutes for other symbols and expands to cover its reel according to the provider.
An expanding wild can participate in several lines, but the total still follows the paytable. Expansion is not a separate cash award. Check whether any symbols are excluded from substitution and how overlapping line wins are added.
The five-out-of-five volatility rating suggests highly uneven outcomes. It does not mean every expanding lion creates a large win. A wild can expand on a reel without completing a valuable line.
Free Spins trigger
Three or more Wild Lions trigger ten free spins. Every triggering reel becomes a Hunting Reel. That state persists through the bonus and gives each marked reel its own multiplier path.
Trigger location determines which reels start hunting. Map the distinct reels containing qualifying trigger Lions instead of deriving an unchecked reel count from symbol quantity alone. The provider’s Buy Feature distinguishes three-or-more and four-or-more Lion entry distributions; the actual trigger board establishes the marked reel set.
The live help should state whether extra lion symbols during the feature can create new Hunting Reels or only improve existing ones. Do not import that behaviour from screenshots.
Hunting Reel multipliers
When a Wild Lion lands on a Hunting Reel, that reel’s win multiplier increases by one. A win involving the lion on that reel receives the reel multiplier. If a qualifying win includes lions on several Hunting Reels, the relevant multipliers are multiplied together.
Quickspin gives an example: x3, x7 and x2 combine to x42, not x12. This multiplication can create steep jumps, but it applies only when the winning combination includes the relevant wilds under the rules.
Every time a Hunting Reel reaches a multiple of five—x5, x10, x15 and so on—two additional free spins are awarded. The threshold belongs to each reel. A combined multiplier passing a large number does not itself award spins unless an individual Hunting Reel reaches the stated level.
Why multiplication needs a visible audit trail
With several reels active, it can be difficult to reconstruct a total from animation. Use the result breakdown. Identify the base line win, participating wild reels, each reel multiplier and final product. Do not multiply a reel that did not contribute to the line.
A reel can retain its multiplier through the feature while another remains at its starting state. That does not make a lion more likely to land. It only changes the value applied if the qualifying event occurs.
When the published maximum is reached, the bonus ends and awards that amount. The live rules should identify the exact cap for the deployed configuration.
Buy Feature: 80x and 200x routes
The official page lists two purchase prices. At 80x bet, the bonus triggers with three or more Wild Lions using the natural-trigger frequency distribution. At 200x, it triggers with four or more. Both routes play the same free-spin rules as a natural trigger.
Quickspin says the Buy Feature is available only on the 96% RTP version and may not be available in all markets. Therefore, a casino offering the 94% or 90% version should not be assumed to contain the purchase control.
At a $1 illustrative stake, the two prices are $80 and $200. That demonstrates exposure, not NZD support. More opening Hunting Reels can create more multiplier paths but does not guarantee the purchase returns its cost.
Three RTP versions
The totals are 96.27%, 94.19% and 90.12%. The active help should identify the deployed Game ID. Do not round the highest value to 96% and silently attach the 12,653x simulation result to all versions.
The sheet shows the base-game return remaining the same while the free-game contribution changes across versions. That means configuration differences are concentrated in the bonus model. A player cannot infer the setting from a few base spins.
RTP is a long-run model, not a personal recovery rate. The five-out-of-five volatility rating indicates a wide distribution. Set limits assuming the entire entertainment budget can be lost.
Simulation maxima versus the 12,000x claim
The public page describes potential up to 12,000x, while the sheet reports a 12,653x largest simulated result for the 96% configuration. These statements have different contexts. The live rules should provide the binding maximum.
Do not choose a stake by multiplying it by either headline. Extreme results do not provide their own probability and should not anchor expectations. The useful numbers for a session are total stake, remaining budget and time.
Example Hunting Reel calculation
Imagine three trigger reels begin the bonus. Later their multipliers reach x3, x7 and x2. A win includes Wild Lions on all three, so those reel multipliers multiply to x42 under Quickspin’s example. If the winning line misses one of those wilds, the unused reel multiplier should not be included.
Suppose the x7 reel then advances to x10. Reaching that multiple of five awards two extra spins. The combined multiplier on another result does not award extra spins merely because it exceeds ten.
This example explains arithmetic only. It does not predict how often lions land, how quickly a reel advances or whether the bonus finishes above its trigger cost.
Mobile presentation
On mobile, five individual reel multipliers need clear labels. Check that the interface does not crop the leftmost or rightmost Hunting Reel and that the remaining-spin counter stays visible. Colour should not be the only cue for a marked reel.
If a bonus disconnects, reopen it through the authenticated lobby. Review round history before making another wager. Record the trigger symbols, Hunting Reels and settled amount if support is needed.
A quick visual audit
Before the first paid spin, take a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel showing the Game ID and RTP. During a low-stake feature, compare the marked Hunting Reels with the original trigger positions. When a lion lands, note the reel’s previous and new multiplier. If extra spins are awarded, confirm that the individual reel reached x5, x10 or another multiple of five. This small audit reveals whether the interface is being read correctly without trying to estimate future outcomes from a short result history.
What is not confirmed
The provider sources do not confirm New Zealand availability, operator licence, NZD, payment methods, bonus contribution or withdrawal rules. Quickspin’s supplier licensing should not be substituted for the casino’s credentials.
If a casino promotion has a maximum-bet rule, a 200x purchase can violate it even when the game allows the action. Read promotion terms separately and do not assume purchased features count toward wagering.
Comparison across the batch
Savannah Fortune is the multiplier-reel title. Robbits emphasises expanding cluster collection, El Capy uses a meter respin, and Epic Fish: Winter Catch uses fish collection across three bonus modes.
The Quickspin catalogue guide explains the common evidence hierarchy. A highly volatile title is not automatically more entertaining or suitable; it simply distributes results differently.
Building the Hunting Reel state at the trigger
Three or more Wild Lions start ten free spins. The reels containing those triggering lions become Hunting Reels. This means the opening feature state depends on position as well as symbol count: the trigger board determines which reels are marked when the feature begins.
Capture the final base-game board before the transition. Mark each Hunting Reel and its starting multiplier. During the feature, keep a separate multiplier for every marked reel rather than one global value. The source explains that a Wild Lion landing on a Hunting Reel increases that reel by one. A lion on an unmarked reel should not be assumed to create a new Hunting Reel unless the deployed rules explicitly say so.
The reels persist through the free-spin sequence. Their multipliers can diverge because lions land independently. That persistent state is the central feature mechanic: the original trigger determines where growth can occur, while later lions determine how far each marked reel advances.
When a reel multiplier applies
A Hunting Reel multiplier is not automatically applied to every line win on the screen. Quickspin specifies that a win including a Wild Lion on the Hunting Reel receives that reel’s multiplier. If several relevant Hunting Reels participate in the same win, their multipliers multiply together.
The official page uses x3, x7 and x2 to produce x42. A correct result audit first identifies the base line win, then confirms that the winning combination includes the qualifying lions, and only then multiplies the relevant reel values. Adding the multipliers would produce x12 and would not follow the published rule. Multiplying a marked reel that did not participate would also overstate the result.
Different paylines in the same spin can involve different sets of reels. The result breakdown may therefore show different multiplier products for separate wins. Preserve the line-by-line calculation before combining the awards into the spin total.
Extra-spin thresholds belong to individual reels
Two extra free spins are awarded whenever a Hunting Reel reaches a multiple of five: x5, x10, x15 and so on. The threshold is attached to the individual reel value. A combined win multiplier of x40 does not award spins unless one of the underlying Hunting Reels has itself reached the next five-step boundary.
A reel can cross only one point in a +1 update, so the audit needs the old value and new value. Moving from x4 to x5 produces the award; remaining at x5 on the next spin does not repeatedly award two spins without another published trigger. Moving later from x9 to x10 reaches the next boundary.
The remaining-spin counter should update after the qualifying lion is evaluated. If the visible counter and multiplier animation disagree, round history and the active help are the evidence to preserve. The rule does not require estimating how often a reel will reach a boundary.
Purchase routes and the 96% restriction
The provider lists two purchase options. The 80× route triggers the bonus with three or more Wild Lions using the same trigger distribution described for chance entry. The 200× route begins with four or more. More triggering lions can establish more Hunting Reels, but the purchased feature follows the same free-spin rules after entry.
Quickspin explicitly ties the Buy Feature to the 96% RTP version and notes that market availability varies. This is more precise than a generic availability warning: if the live help identifies the 94% or 90% configuration, the public source does not support assuming that either purchase route should appear.
Record the final amount displayed before confirmation, the starting lion count and the marked reels after transition. Do not infer a special purchased-feature multiplier unless the live help states one. The 80× and 200× figures are entry prices, not promised payouts or multiplier values.
Reconciling the maximum-win wording
The marketing page uses “up to 12,000× bet”, while the provider sheet reports a largest simulated result of 12,653× for one configuration. These statements cannot be treated as interchangeable. A simulation observation describes what appeared in a stated sample; a contractual maximum defines the point at which the game caps or ends a round.
The active help should provide the binding maximum for the deployed Game ID. If it states 12,000× and says the bonus ends when that amount is reached, use that rule. Keep the larger simulation figure in its labelled test context rather than presenting it as an attainable cap for every version.
The same discipline applies to RTP: 96.27%, 94.19% and 90.12% are alternative configurations, not a range that changes during play. A short sequence of base spins cannot identify which one is active. The information screen or provider-specific Game ID must do that.
Savannah Fortune audit worksheet
For each bonus, record the trigger board, initial Hunting Reels, starting multipliers and ten-spin allocation. For every later lion, record its reel, whether that reel is marked, the multiplier before and after the landing, and any two-spin threshold award. For each paying line, record which Hunting Reel lions participate and the resulting product.
At feature end, compare the sum of line awards with the round-history settlement. If the maximum rule ends the feature early, preserve the displayed cap and remaining-spin state. This worksheet is specific to Savannah Fortune because its arithmetic depends on persistent reel-level values; it should not be reused unchanged for a global-multiplier or ordinary expanding-wild title.
Include the active RTP and Game ID at the top of the worksheet. The three published configurations differ, and the purchase controls are tied to the 96% version. That header lets a later reviewer distinguish a genuine rule change from a comparison between two different mathematical deployments of Savannah Fortune.

Official sources
Bottom line: Savannah Fortune documents expanding Wild Lions, persistent Hunting Reels and multiplicative bonus arithmetic. Those rules do not establish availability or turn an extreme multiplier into a likely outcome.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
