Raven Rising — a multiplier that changes speed in Ragnarök

The base game adds one step per tumble; the bonus adds one step for every removed winning symbol and keeps the value between spins.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Raven Rising by Quickspin is a 5×3, 20-line tumbling slot built around a progressive multiplier and a Ragnarök Free Spins feature. The official page lists three RTP configurations: 87%, 94% and 96%. The live help must identify which one is active.

Decimal profiles in the linked supplier sheet

The official three-page Raven Rising sheet, visually checked on 7 October 2026, refines those whole-number families:

Supplier ID Base contribution Free-game contribution Printed total Volatility, 1–5
ravenrising 64.12% 31.95% 96.07% 4.5
ravenrising94 64.12% 30.08% 94.19% 4.5
ravenrising87 64.12% 23.03% 87.15% 3

The middle component sum is 94.20%, differing from its printed total by 0.01 percentage points. Preserve both labels instead of selecting a homemade corrected RTP. The other two sums reconcile exactly. A component contribution is not the return conditional on starting Ragnarök, and the printed score describes the whole profile rather than a separate numerical bonus risk rating.

Each page gives a euro reference stake of €0.20–€100, with €1 default. Its largest observed result in 100 million spins is respectively 6,804.35×, 6,585.30× and 5,571.75×. Those observations are not contractual ceilings or current NZD denomination limits. The sheet also states a 100× purchase that initiates three or more Scatters with the natural-entry frequency described by the supplier. Match the active confirmation and profile before applying that reference to an operator.

Two winning lines can remove only five symbols

Consider an explicitly hypothetical Ragnarök result with opening multiplier 4. Let one qualifying line use A1, B1 and C1, and another use A1, B2 and C2. Assume active history confirms both awards and highlights those cells for one removal event. There are six line memberships but five distinct physical symbols: A1 belongs to both lines and disappears only once.

Ragnarök’s per-removed-symbol rule therefore moves the multiplier from 4 to 9 for that event, not to 10 by counting shared A1 twice. Nor does it move merely to 5 by counting one tumble. A later removal of three new winning cells moves the carried state from 9 to 12. On the following Free Spin, a result with no removed winners leaves it at 12 under the documented persistence rule.

Illustrative transition Unique removed cells Opening multiplier Closing multiplier
Two overlapping line wins 5 4 9
Next qualifying removal 3 9 12
Next spin, no winning removal 0 12 12

This table tracks growth, not payout. The raw line awards, whether each award uses the pre-removal or updated multiplier, and the full evaluation order still come from live history. It is not valid to multiply an already multiplied round credit by 12 again. The coordinate pattern is an arithmetic example, not a newly asserted payline map.

In Midgård, if the same five cells form one winning set as grouped by the engine, their removal adds one step rather than five. Starting at 2 then gives 3, subject to the actual event grouping. The bonus instead counts physical winners and carries its result between spins. This contrast needs both the mode label and the highlighted set; a final multiplier alone cannot show whether the right rule was applied.

What an unknown gamble probability means

Neither the abbreviated page nor the linked sheet establishes a 50/50 probability for the inspected gamble. Keep the displayed probability unresolved until versioned help supplies it. A collect choice retains the current package; the gamble can forfeit it, regardless of whether entry was naturally won or bought.

For illustration only, let p be the unknown success probability when risking a seven-spin package for ten. Expected retained starting spins, counting a failed gamble as zero, are 10p. That exceeds seven only if p is greater than 0.70. This is not a claim that the actual p has that value or a recommendation to gamble. Spin count is not expected money: persistent multiplier growth, retriggers and the profile’s award distribution make the relationship nonlinear. The example shows why an unverified “50/50” label cannot be used to call the upgrade fair or beneficial.

How the tumble cycle works

Winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into the empty spaces. In the Midgård base game, each removed winning set increases the multiplier by one. The count applies during that continuing sequence, then resets when the round ends.

The bonus uses a more aggressive rule. Every winning symbol removed adds one to the multiplier, and the multiplier does not reset between bonus spins. A screen with several winning symbols can therefore move the value by more than one step.

Do not confuse a removed symbol with a winning combination. For an evidence check, capture the board before removal, count the symbols Quickspin marks as winners and compare the multiplier after the tumble.

Ragnarök Free Spins and gamble

Three or more Raven Scatters start the bonus. The official page publishes different Free Spin awards according to the number of Scatters and says that three or more Scatters can retrigger additional spins.

After the initial trigger, a gamble can risk the awarded spins for the chance to gain another Raven Scatter and a larger spin package. The player can collect the current Scatters instead of continuing. Losing the gamble removes the existing Free Spins, and retriggered spins cannot be gambled.

That makes the gamble a genuine trade-off, not a free upgrade. Check the exact probabilities and awards in the live game help before choosing it.

Buy feature, volatility and version checks

Quickspin states that a Bonus Buy can provide direct entry to Free Spins where the control is allowed. The short HTML feature copy omits its price, while the linked official sheet states a 100× reference. Match the active confirmation rather than borrowing another title’s price or treating the supplier reference as local availability.

The provider describes the base game as milder and the bonus as considerably more volatile. That language explains the intended shape of play; it does not predict a result. RTP is a long-run model and does not guarantee a return in one session.

On mobile, verify that the multiplier, remaining Free Spins, Scatter count and gamble choice remain visible without obscuring the reels. Save the Game ID or version shown by the help screen when comparing a session with the official page.

Primal Spirits also uses tumbles and progressive multipliers, but its colour-specific counters work differently. The Quickspin catalogue guide explains how to separate product-page facts from operator availability.

Reading the 5×3 and 20-line grid

Raven Rising uses five reels, three visible rows and 20 fixed paylines. Record the total stake, original grid and line number for every award. The tumble feature begins only after the first settled line evaluation.

Trace combinations from the required starting reel according to the active paytable. A visual cluster that does not follow one of the twenty routes is not automatically a line win. Mark Wild substitutions or special symbols exactly as the game history identifies them.

Keep the raw line subtotal separate from the progressive multiplier. This prevents the multiplier from being applied twice when several tumbles occur in one round.

Base-game tumble state

When a line win settles in Midgård, the winning symbols are removed and replacements fall into their cells. Label the opening result M0 and later grids M1, M2 and onward.

For each state, store the winning lines, removed symbol set, multiplier before, multiplier after and multiplied subtotal. Continue until the new grid contains no win.

The entire chain belongs to one paid round. Confirm that only the opening spin consumes the normal stake and that replacement grids do not create additional debits.

Base multiplier increases by winning set

Quickspin says the Midgård multiplier gains +1 whenever a set of winning symbols is removed. Record the server’s grouping of the removed set rather than assuming one increase per visible symbol.

If several lines share symbols, the history may treat the removed group as one set. Preserve the highlighted cells and multiplier transition. Do not count the same symbol once for each overlapping line.

The updated value applies within the continuing tumble sequence under the game’s displayed order. Use the actual history to identify whether the increase occurs before the next grid award.

Base multiplier reset

When the paid tumble chain ends, the base multiplier resets for the next ordinary spin. Save the closing value and the starting value shown on the following round.

Do not carry a large Midgård value into a new paid spin. Persistent behaviour belongs to Ragnarök Free Spins, not the base game.

If the interface animates the reset after the round total, wait for the next stable state before recording the new opening multiplier.

Triggering Ragnarök

Three or more Raven Scatter symbols start Ragnarök Free Spins. Save every Scatter coordinate and the resulting package. The provider page lists seven, ten and fifteen initial spins across the three-, four- and five-Scatter tiers.

Record the actual count before entering the gamble screen. Do not use a Wild or raven-themed paying symbol as a Scatter unless the game explicitly marks it as the trigger icon.

The trigger award and the decision to gamble are separate stages. Preserve the starting package before choosing collect or gamble.

Three Scatters and seven spins

Three Raven Scatters initiate seven Free Spins. Record the seven-spin offer and three-Scatter state. This is the first gamble position described by the provider.

The player can collect the package and begin Ragnarök or risk it for a chance to add another Scatter. Collecting ends the pre-feature gamble and preserves the seven spins.

Do not describe seven spins as guaranteed once a gamble is attempted; a losing gamble removes the existing package.

Four Scatters and ten spins

Four Raven Scatters initiate ten Free Spins. This state can be reached naturally or by winning the first gamble from three Scatters. Record the route and current package.

The inspected provider page and linked sheet do not establish a 50/50 gamble probability. Check the active version’s stated odds and confirmation before assigning any probability. The user can collect at this stage rather than continue.

If another gamble is taken and lost, the ten-spin package is forfeited. Preserve the decision screen and outcome.

Five Scatters and fifteen spins

Five Raven Scatters initiate fifteen Free Spins, the top initial package on the public page. The gamble can continue only until five Scatters or a loss.

Once five Scatters are held, record the collected fifteen-spin feature entry. Do not invent a sixth-Scatter tier.

A natural five-Scatter trigger should not be presented as a guaranteed outcome of starting with three; the intermediate gambles can lose.

Gamble decision ledger

Use one row per decision with Scatters before, spins at risk, choice, displayed probability, result and Scatters after. A collect action ends the ledger and starts the feature.

The provider states that winning adds one Raven Scatter, while losing removes the existing Free Spins. It is a wager of the feature package, not a bonus layered on top without risk.

Do not include retriggered spins in this ledger. Quickspin expressly states that retriggered Ragnarök spins cannot be gambled.

Persistent bonus multiplier

Inside Ragnarök, the multiplier does not reset between Free Spins. Record the opening value on spin one and carry the closing value into the next feature spin exactly as displayed.

The persistent state means the multiplier can continue growing across otherwise separate reel results. It does not mean a previous spin’s symbols or line subtotal carry forward.

At feature end, record the closing multiplier for audit, but do not transfer it back into the base game.

Bonus increase by removed symbol

The Ragnarök rule adds +1 for every winning symbol removed, not merely once per tumble. Count the unique highlighted cells removed in each state.

If one symbol participates in overlapping lines, count the physical symbol once when it is removed unless the game history shows another calculation. Store coordinates to prevent double counting.

Compare the number of removed cells with the multiplier change. A state removing six winning symbols should be checked against the displayed increase rather than inferred solely from its number of winning lines.

Bonus tumble chronology

For every Free Spin, label the opening grid Rn-0 and tumble replacements Rn-1 onward. Record line subtotal, removed-symbol count, multiplier transition and multiplied award.

When the tumble chain ends, save the persistent multiplier and reduce the Free Spins counter. The next opening grid starts with that saved multiplier.

This state model separates per-symbol growth from the remaining-spin count, which otherwise can be hidden by fast animation.

Retriggering with three Scatters

Three Raven Scatters inside Ragnarök add three Free Spins. Capture the trigger grid and counter before and after the addition.

The added spins join the running feature and preserve the current multiplier. They cannot be moved back to the pre-feature gamble screen.

Only actual Scatter symbols count. Winning symbols removed through tumbles do not become Scatters unless the server explicitly shows that transformation.

Retriggering with four Scatters

Four Scatters add five Free Spins. Record all four coordinates and the five-spin increase. Do not add both the three- and four-Scatter awards to one result.

The persistent multiplier remains at its current value through the continuing feature. Save the counter transition separately from multiplier growth.

The provider page lists this middle retrigger tier even though the initial four-Scatter package is ten spins; initial and retrigger tables are different.

Retriggering with five Scatters

Five Scatters add seven Free Spins, the largest retrigger tier shown. Preserve the five-Scatter grid and seven-spin addition.

Do not treat it as fifteen extra spins. Fifteen belongs to the initial package, while seven belongs to a five-Scatter retrigger.

Because retriggered spins cannot be gambled, the feature continues with the updated counter and existing multiplier.

Natural, gambled and bought entry

A natural entry starts from the Scatter count on a paid spin. A gambled entry passes through one or more risk decisions before collection. A bought entry, where enabled, begins with an explicit purchase confirmation.

Mark the route in the feature header. The short HTML overview confirms Bonus Buy without a readable price, while the linked sheet gives a 100× reference. Record the actual local-currency confirmation and delivered trigger state; leave an operator price unconfirmed if those are unavailable.

Do not copy a purchase multiple from Primal Spirits or another Quickspin game. Availability and price are title-specific.

RTP models

Quickspin publishes 87%, 94% and 96% RTP models. Read the exact active value and Game ID from the deployed help. The ordered list on the provider page does not imply that every operator offers a player-selectable choice.

Record the checked date. A casino can change the configured version without changing the game title or artwork.

RTP is a long-run theoretical measure and does not predict the number of tumbles, gamble result or final persistent multiplier in one feature.

Base and bonus volatility

The provider describes the base game as softer and Ragnarök as substantially more volatile. The reason visible in the rules is that bonus growth occurs per removed symbol and persists across spins.

This description should not be turned into a precise frequency or risk score without the official sheet. Report observed round history separately from model wording.

The gamble adds another discrete risk: the entire current spin package can be lost before the feature starts.

Complete feature worksheet

Recommended columns are round ID, entry route, Scatter count, initial spins, gamble decisions, current spin, grid state, winning lines, removed symbols, multiplier before, multiplier after, subtotal and counter.

Add separate retrigger rows with Scatter count and spins added. This prevents initial package awards from being confused with the smaller retrigger table.

At completion, sum the multiplied state awards and compare with the server feature total and account ledger credit.

Worked base-game sequence

Suppose M0 contains one winning set. Record its raw award and the +1 multiplier change after removal. If M1 wins again, repeat the process and apply the current multiplier under the history’s displayed order.

When M2 has no win, close the round and record the reset before the next paid spin. Do not carry M1’s symbol count or multiplier forward.

This example demonstrates chronology only and does not assign fictional symbol values or payout.

Worked Ragnarök sequence

Suppose a feature spin begins with multiplier four and removes five winning symbols. Record the five unique coordinates and compare the closing multiplier with the expected +5 transition shown by the game.

If the replacement grid removes another three winners, create a second row and update from the current multiplier. Carry the final value to the next Free Spin.

The numbers illustrate audit structure, not a promised result or stated frequency.

Mobile and accessibility checks

On a phone, the 5×3 reels, current multiplier, remaining spins and gamble choice should remain visible. The risk of losing the package must be shown before confirmation.

During tumbles, removed symbols should be identifiable without relying only on colour. Completed history should preserve enough state to count unique cells.

Retrigger additions need a clear counter update so they are not mistaken for a new feature or paid spin.

Support evidence package

Provide title, Game ID, RTP, stake, round ID, original grid and every tumble. For Ragnarök include entry route, gamble decisions, Scatters, counter and per-symbol multiplier changes.

For a bought feature, attach the displayed price and account debit. For a disputed gamble, include the confirmation and result state. Passwords and payment secrets are unnecessary.

Source and market scope

Quickspin’s page supports the 20-line layout, multiplier rules, initial and retrigger tables and gamble structure. It does not prove a New Zealand casino listing or local Bonus Buy availability.

The Norse hero is original editorial artwork rather than a game screenshot. Use the official page, live help and server history for factual calculation and date every availability check.

Closing reconciliation

Before closing Ragnarök, verify that every removed winning symbol has contributed exactly once to the persistent multiplier. Compare each spin’s opening value with the preceding spin’s closing value, then reconcile all multiplied tumble awards with the feature total.

Check retrigger rows separately: three, four and five Scatters add three, five and seven spins, not the initial seven, ten and fifteen packages. Finally, compare the completed server total with the account ledger and confirm that no ordinary stake was deducted for tumble replacements, Free Spins or retriggers. Keep the unedited round history and decision records together.

Bottom line: distinguish the base game’s per-tumble increase from the bonus game’s per-symbol, persistent multiplier.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
