Slayers Inc — a VS symbol can turn a whole reel Wild

A qualifying VS expands over its reel, stages a duel and leaves the survivor's multiplier across a full Wild reel. Multiple winning duels add their values before the line win is multiplied.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Slayers Inc by Hacksaw Gaming is a five-reel, four-row game with 14 paylines. The official page assigns 5/5 volatility and a 15,000× maximum-win claim. Its main reading challenge is timing: VS expansion, duel multipliers and line evaluation must be kept in the stated order.

Slayer DuelReels expand only when relevant

A landed VS symbol expands if the expanded symbol will form part of a win. The reel then shows two Slayers with different multiplier values. After the duel, the surviving multiplier applies across the entire reel and that reel becomes fully Wild. If several duels are part of one win, their values are added before the result multiplies the line win. One VS symbol can land per reel.

Three Free Spins levels escalate guarantees

Three FS scatters trigger Rise of the Syndicate with 10 spins and a higher VS chance. Four trigger Wild Slayers, retaining the base mechanic and adding a possible Slicer whenever VS lands; Slicer adds a full Wild row. Five trigger One Slayer to Slay Them All, where DuelReels and Slicer are guaranteed on every spin. FS retriggers exist in the first two levels but FS symbols do not appear in the top level.

Best of Bonus awards one of three rounds

A Best of Bonus symbol alongside the required FS count launches a Best of version of the corresponding feature. Three rounds play in sequence and their results are stored outside the grid. Only the highest of those three recorded values is awarded at the end; they are not summed.

Evidence limits

The official page confirms paylines, volatility, VS values, bonus rules and maximum-win claim. It does not publish a readable RTP, stake range, complete paytable, version identifier or New Zealand casino availability.

VS landing is not automatic expansion

Record the stopped grid and VS coordinate before changing the reel. The symbol expands only when the resulting full Wild reel forms part of a win. Test the hypothetical expanded board against the 14 paylines.

If no paying line uses that reel, the published condition does not support an active DuelReel. A visible VS alone is insufficient.

No more than one VS can land per reel. Several may appear on different reels and require separate participation tests.

Building the expanded reel

For a qualifying VS, replace every active row on its reel with Wild for settlement. Save the original and expanded grids side by side.

The full reel is one feature state, not four separately triggered Wild symbols. Its substitutions and exclusions come from the deployed paytable.

Mark every payline that uses the expanded reel before applying the duel multiplier.

Duel values and survivor

The expanded reel shows two Slayers carrying different multipliers. Record both values and the duel survivor. Only the survivor’s displayed value remains across the Wild reel.

Do not choose the larger value in advance or infer the survivor from character artwork. Use the completed duel state and server history.

The surviving multiplier applies to wins containing that reel, not every win on the grid.

Adding participating duels

When more than one DuelReel participates in the same line win, add survivor values before multiplying the line award. Participating 4× and 7× reels produce an 11× feature multiplier, not 28×.

A DuelReel absent from that particular line is excluded even if it contributes to another line on the same grid.

Keep base line award, participating reel IDs, additive total and final credit in separate fields.

Fourteen-line audit

Obtain all 14 numbered line paths from the deployed help. For each final grid, list the symbols and expanded reels on every credited path.

One DuelReel can participate in several paylines, with its multiplier applied according to each win. Do not create a fifteenth path from visual adjacency.

Sum line settlements and reconcile them with round history.

Worked single-duel example

Suppose a VS on reel three would complete payline six after expansion. The reel becomes Wild, the duel survivor displays 5× and that reel participates in the line.

Record the base line value and apply 5× in the live order. Other paylines that do not contain reel three do not inherit it.

The example explains accounting without an invented stake or probability.

Worked multi-duel example

Suppose qualifying VS symbols on reels two and four both expand and one line crosses both. Their survivor values are 3× and 8×, so the combined feature value for that line is 11×.

If another winning line crosses only reel two, it uses the 3× value rather than 11×. Settle each line independently.

Actual values and awards must come from the tested round.

Rise of the Syndicate

Three FS scatters trigger ten spins with a higher chance of VS symbols. Save the trigger grid, initial counter and mode label.

The source does not quantify the chance increase. Do not convert it into a percentage or guarantee a DuelReel per spin.

Apply the base VS participation and additive multiplier rules on every feature grid.

Wild Slayers

Four scatters trigger the second ten-spin level. It retains DuelReels and can add a Slicer whenever VS lands.

Record each VS first, then whether a Slicer appears. The Slicer creates a complete randomly selected Wild row. Save the row index and final grid.

A possible Slicer is not guaranteed on every spin in this tier.

Slicer row and DuelReel interaction

The Slicer affects one horizontal row, while DuelReel affects a vertical reel. Their crossing cell remains one grid position. Record both source states without counting the cell twice.

Evaluate the final 14 paylines after all feature changes. A Wild row can support lines with or without the DuelReel multiplier, depending on reel participation.

Do not assign a separate Slicer multiplier unless the live paytable provides one.

One Slayer to Slay Them All

Five scatters trigger the top level. DuelReels and Slicer are guaranteed on every spin. Save all five trigger coordinates, initial counter and first guaranteed states.

FS symbols do not appear in this level, so the retrigger routes available in the first two are absent under the provider description.

Guarantees concern feature appearance, not a paying result or high multiplier.

Retriggers in lower levels

The current provider page lists the same retrigger schedule for the first two levels: two additional FS symbols award two spins and three award four. Match the active help and counter transition to that title-specific schedule.

Those +2/+4 awards are sourced directly to Slayers Inc, not copied from a different title. The top level has no FS symbols, so this lower-tier table cannot be transferred to it.

Keep retrigger counter changes separate from DuelReel and Slicer resolution.

Best of Bonus entry

A Best of Bonus symbol alongside the required FS count launches the Best of version corresponding to that trigger tier. Save the special symbol, FS count and selected mode.

Three rounds play in sequence and results are stored outside the grid. Give them IDs B1, B2 and B3 with exact credited values.

Do not combine the three grids into one feature state.

Highest-of-three settlement

At Best of completion, compare B1, B2 and B3 and award only the highest recorded value. The provider explicitly says the three are not summed.

If two rounds tie for highest, the awarded numerical maximum remains one value unless the live help states another rule.

Reconcile the selected amount with account history and preserve the two non-awarded records as evidence.

Worked Best of example

Suppose the three stored rounds credit 12×, 40× and 25× bet. The feature award is 40×, not 77×.

The audit stores all three rounds, identifies B2 as maximum and verifies the final account credit. Illustrative numbers explain selection only.

A large result in an earlier round remains eligible even if the third round is lower.

Bonus ledger

Use one row per primary Free Spin with tier, counter, VS coordinates, participation tests, duel values, survivors, Slicer row, paylines and credit.

For Best of, nest three complete round records and a maximum-selection row. Keep ordinary feature totals separate.

At bonus end, reconcile every credit and clear feature state.

RTP, stakes and cap

The provider publishes volatility 5/5 and maximum win 15,000×, but no readable RTP or stake interval. Record missing fields from the exact deployment with operator, currency, version and date.

The cap is a ceiling across the game, not an expected result. A 5/5 provider rating does not predict the next session.

If multiple RTP versions exist, publish only the tested one.

New Zealand availability

The global source does not prove real-money access in New Zealand. Verify country terms, registration eligibility, authenticated catalogue and successful launch.

NZD support, payments, verification and withdrawals are operator facts. Source them separately and date the check.

A demo is insufficient. Do not advise bypassing location controls.

Mobile and accessibility checks

On mobile, all five reels, four rows, 14 line paths, VS states, duel values, Slicer row and counters must remain visible. Test portrait and landscape modes.

Survivor and multiplier need text beyond animation. Reduced-motion mode should preserve expansion and final state. Keyboard focus must reach help, paytable and history.

After interruption, compare tier, round state, counter, balance and identifier with server history.

Support-ready evidence

For a VS dispute, provide original grid, hypothetical expansion, qualifying line, duel values, survivor and settlement. For Slicer, add selected row and final grid.

For Best of, attach all three stored values and selected maximum. Include operator, version, stake, currency and round identifier.

Never share passwords, one-time codes, private keys or seed phrases. Ask authenticated support to inspect server events.

Session controls

Duel animations and Best of rounds can encourage outcome chasing. Previous losses do not make a high survivor multiplier or top-tier trigger due.

Set stake, spending and time limits before play. Do not increase stakes to chase 15,000× or a better third Best-of result.

Mechanical knowledge supports verification, not prediction. Use responsible-play controls and stop at the chosen boundary.

Publication checklist

  • Expand VS only when the Wild reel participates in a win.
  • Allow no more than one VS per reel.
  • Record both duel values and survivor.
  • Add multipliers from DuelReels on the same line.
  • Settle all 14 paylines independently.
  • Record Slicer as one complete Wild row.
  • Keep the three bonus tiers and guarantees separate.
  • Source lower-tier retrigger values from live help.
  • Award only the highest of three Best of results.
  • Verify RTP, stakes and New Zealand access from primary evidence.

Editorial assessment

Slayers Inc is governed by participation and order. VS expands only when useful, duel survivors multiply only lines crossing their reels, and several participating reel values add before application. Best of Bonus selects one maximum rather than a sum.

A rigorous review preserves those boundaries and reports 5/5 volatility and 15,000× only in source context. Missing RTP, stakes and local access remain unclaimed until verified live.

Several VS symbols on one grid

Test each VS expansion independently against the final 14-line map. One reel can qualify because it completes a line while another visible VS fails the participation condition. Record qualifying or inactive beside every source.

After identifying all qualifying reels, resolve their duels and rebuild the final grid. Re-evaluate paylines because one expansion can create another line that crosses several DuelReels.

Do not activate an otherwise irrelevant VS retroactively unless the live help’s evaluation order explicitly does so. Preserve server history for this edge case.

Shared reels across several lines

A single DuelReel can participate in several line wins. Apply its survivor value to each qualifying line under the paytable, but do not add the multiplier to itself because the reel appears in more than one line.

Create a matrix with paylines as rows and DuelReels as columns. Mark participation cells, sum each row’s survivor values and calculate that line independently.

This matrix exposes both missing reel values and accidental application to unrelated lines.

Slicer and multiple qualifying rows

Slicer selects one complete row, turning all five cells Wild. Record the row before evaluating paylines. The horizontal state may support several diagonal or shaped line paths even though the feature itself selects only one row.

Do not describe every supported payline as another Slicer. One event creates one Wild row; the payline map determines its downstream effects.

At the crossing with a DuelReel, retain one Wild cell while recording both feature sources for audit.

Top-tier guarantee audit

For every spin in One Slayer to Slay Them All, create two required fields: at least one qualifying DuelReel event and a Slicer row. Compare the provider guarantee with the final state and live history.

If VS appears but does not participate in a win, confirm how the guarantee is implemented before claiming failure; the public wording may refer to feature generation rather than a credited duel on every result.

FS symbols should remain absent from the top-tier reel set under the source description.

Best of tie handling

The verified rule awards the highest of three values. When two results tie, the numeric maximum is unchanged. Record both tied rounds and the single credited maximum.

Do not add equal highest results together or choose one based on animation. If the live game supplies a special tie rule, preserve it as version-specific primary evidence.

The three stored values should remain visible or recoverable in round history until settlement is reconciled.

Version comparison protocol

Attach every test to operator, build, currency and date. Compare VS participation, duel value ranges, additive combination, Slicer availability, top-tier guarantees, retriggers and Best-of selection individually.

Archive one single duel, one multi-DuelReel payline, one Slicer crossing and one Best-of sequence with the matching help. These reference rounds reveal genuine changes.

If primary sources conflict, retain both dated states. Do not merge RTP or stakes from one build with multiplier or bonus rules from another.

Practical reader decision points

Before play, verify live RTP, complete stake, cap, country eligibility and responsible-play controls. During a spin, ask which VS expansions participate, who survived each duel, what row Slicer selected and which paylines use those states.

During Best of, record the three stored results and select their maximum; do not add them as a final payout. These fields reconstruct settlement without suggesting a stronger duel or third-round rescue is due.

After feature end, clear every reel, row and Best-of ledger and apply the pre-set session boundary. Feature state is not stored cash value.

Final verification note

Before revision, reproduce all three trigger tiers, lower-tier retriggers, top-tier absence of FS, guaranteed feature wording and highest-of-three settlement in current official help.

Any field that cannot be reproduced should retain its source date and be labelled configuration-specific, not current evidence for a New Zealand casino account.

Frequently asked questions

When does a VS symbol expand? Only when its expansion will form part of a win.

What happens after the duel? Its reel becomes Wild and carries the survivor’s multiplier.

How are multiple duel values combined? They are added, then applied to the line win.

What does Slicer add? A complete randomly selected Wild row.

What does Best of Bonus pay? The highest result from three rounds.

Is New Zealand availability confirmed? No.

Survivor values and duration belong to separate ledgers

Hacksaw’s current multiplier list contains sixteen values: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 times. A survivor must be read from the resolved event. The list does not establish equal probabilities or allow the larger of the two duelling values to be chosen manually.

The two lower bonus levels both publish two FS symbols for +2 spins and three for +4. With four remaining before a completed spin, those alternatives settle at 4 − 1 + 2 = 5 or 4 − 1 + 4 = 7. They extend duration; they are not amounts to add to a duel multiplier or the Best of scoreboard. A blank retrigger field in the top level is not evidence of a missing lower-tier award because FS symbols are absent there.

Add within a round, choose between rounds

Best of uses two different aggregation operations. Credited wins inside one constituent round are added to form that round’s stored result. The three completed round totals are then compared, and only their maximum is awarded. A worksheet must not flatten those nested records into one sum.

Consider the following invented award history. Every row represents a separately verified winning event whose listed survivor values participate in that particular line. The unmultiplied line values are illustrative bet units, not a published paytable. For simplicity, assume these are all the credited wins in the three recorded rounds; no undocumented Slicer award or additional line credit is inserted.

Constituent round and event Unmultiplied line units Participating survivor values Event credit
Round 1, event A 1 3 + 7 10
Round 1, event B 2 4 + 5 18
Round 2, event C 3 5 + 15 60
Round 3, event D 2 2 + 8 20
Round 3, event E 1 10 + 20 30

First reconcile each row. Event B is 2 × (4 + 5) = 18, not 2 × 4 × 5 = 40. Second reconcile the constituent totals: round one is twenty-eight, round two is sixty and round three is fifty. Finally select sixty as the Best of award. Adding all five event credits would produce 138 and mistakenly pay all three alternative rounds.

Before using the first column, confirm that it is the unmultiplied line value. If history already reports event B’s eighteen-unit credit, applying the nine-unit survivor sum again would incorrectly turn it into 162. A Wild row created by Slicer has no separately published multiplier to insert as another term. Preserve the field definition alongside each number.

Keep the five event credits as explanatory records, not five independent balance credits on top of the final sixty. The scoreboard records candidate round outcomes; account history determines the eventual payment. This distinction makes a support question precise: was a line amount calculated incorrectly, was one round summed incorrectly, or was the wrong completed maximum selected? Each issue refers to a different stage and can be checked without claiming that a future Best of sequence will return similar values.

Official source

Bottom line: treat expansion, duel, multiplier addition and line win as four ordered steps.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Hacksaw Gaming, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
