Eastern Emeralds Megaways — multiply the Wilds before the win

Reels change the number of ways each spin, while two participating Emerald Wilds multiply their values together rather than adding them.

Eastern Emeralds Megaways by Quickspin combines variable ways with Emerald Wild multipliers, a Free Spins picker, a gamble and a 90× bonus buy. The public page reports a 96.29% theoretical payout for the buy feature, not necessarily the RTP of every standard-game configuration.

Variable ways and Emerald Wilds

The number of symbols on each reel can change from spin to spin, so the total ways-to-win count also changes. Check the displayed ways before evaluating a result instead of assuming a fixed line map.

Emerald Wild Multiplier symbols can appear on reels two to five. They substitute for symbols other than the Scatter. In the base game, their multiplier matches the reel number: a Wild on reel two carries 2×, while one on reel five carries 5×.

When two or more Emerald Wilds participate in the same win, their values are multiplied together. A 2× Wild and 5× Wild therefore make a 10× factor for that qualifying win, not 7×. Only Wilds that belong to the same win should be combined.

Free Spins picker and gamble

Three or more Scatters anywhere trigger Free Spins and open a picker with four feature options. The bonus uses the same bet level as the triggering spin, and the Scatter does not appear during Free Spins.

Quickspin also describes a gamble on entry. With three Scatters, the player can risk the award for a 50/50 chance of moving to four; with four, the player can risk it for a 50/50 chance of moving to five. The gamble is unavailable when five Scatters triggered the feature.

The buy feature costs 90× the bet and purchases a trigger with three Scatters where enabled. The provider states a 96.29% theoretical payout for that purchase and warns that it may not be available in all markets.

Evidence checks before play

Record the live Game ID, standard-game RTP, total bet and whether the buy control appears. A provider’s buy RTP should not be relabelled as the return for normal paid spins.

During a result, note each reel height, displayed ways count, participating Wild positions and final multiplier. On mobile, the Wild labels and picker options should remain legible without covering the variable reel display.

Marketing descriptions of a fast or explosive model are not a prediction. The documented evidence is the changing ways, reel-specific Wild values, multiplicative combination, Scatter trigger, four-option picker, 90× buy and published buy-feature return.

Spinions Game Day uses moving Passing Wilds rather than fixed reel-number multipliers. The Quickspin catalogue guide explains how to check a provider title against the live operator version.

Recording variable reel heights

Every spin can use a different number of symbols on its reels. Record the height of each reel from left to right before counting a win. The displayed Megaways total should correspond to the active layout, not to the previous spin or a promotional maximum.

Do not reconstruct the grid as a fixed 5×3 line slot. A winning way is formed through qualifying matching symbols on consecutive reels under the active paytable. The count of visible instances on each contributing reel determines how many ways produce that symbol win.

Save the original layout and the server’s displayed ways figure. If the result history changes to a compact view, the height vector preserves the state needed for later review.

Counting a Megaways combination

For one paying symbol, count its qualifying instances on reel one and each consecutive reel used by the combination. Multiply those counts to obtain the number of ways for that symbol, then apply the paytable value and any participating Emerald Wild factor.

A high total ways display is the total opportunity structure for the spin, not the number of actual winning ways. Use only symbol instances that satisfy the combination.

If Wilds substitute for the symbol, mark their coordinates and include them according to the game history. Do not use a Scatter as a substitute because Emerald Wilds expressly exclude it.

Emerald Wild on reel two

In the base game, an Emerald Wild on reel two carries a 2× value. Record the Wild position and whether it participated in the specific winning combination.

The printed value does not automatically multiply every award on the screen. A win that does not use that Wild should be calculated without its factor.

If more than one reel-two Wild appears, preserve every coordinate and use the exact combination handling shown by the live paytable rather than assuming one shared multiplier.

Emerald Wild on reel three

A base-game Emerald Wild on reel three carries 3×. It substitutes for ordinary symbols and can contribute its multiplier when it belongs to the win.

Record the raw symbol-way subtotal before the factor and the final amount after it. This makes it possible to distinguish a 3× application from a change in the number of ways.

Do not add the reel number to another Wild. Multiple participating values are multiplied.

Emerald Wild on reel four

The reel-four Emerald Wild carries 4× in the base game. Mark its cell and the symbol for which it substituted.

The current reel height can move its visual position from spin to spin, but its multiplier comes from reel four, not the row number. Do not interpret a fourth-row Wild on another reel as 4×.

Keep reel and row in separate worksheet columns.

Emerald Wild on reel five

The base-game Wild on reel five carries 5×, the highest reel-number value in the published base rule. Record whether the winning combination reaches reel five and actually uses the Wild.

A shorter three- or four-reel combination cannot use a reel-five Wild that lies outside its contributing route. Do not apply 5× solely because the symbol is visible.

Save the server’s highlighted way when several instances make participation ambiguous.

Multiplying several participating Wilds

When two or more Emerald Wilds belong to the same win, multiply their displayed values. For example, a reel-two 2× and reel-five 5× create a 10× factor for that qualifying win.

Three participating values are also multiplied in sequence. Record the factor expression, such as 2× × 3× × 5×, before writing the product. This avoids accidentally adding or concatenating values.

Do not include a Wild that substituted for a different simultaneous symbol win. Build one participant list for each award.

Separating ways and multiplier effects

The number of ways and the Emerald factor are distinct. First determine how many symbol combinations qualify on the active variable-height grid. Then calculate their raw paytable subtotal. Finally apply the product of participating Wild multipliers.

Store all three values. A final 100× award might arise from many raw ways with a modest Wild factor or few ways with a larger factor; the final number alone cannot prove which.

Use the server history if the game evaluates overlapping symbol wins separately.

Scatter trigger

Three or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels trigger Free Spins. Record each Scatter coordinate and total count. The trigger is anywhere, unlike an ordinary consecutive-reel way.

Emerald Wilds do not substitute for Scatter. A result with two Scatters and one Wild remains below the documented threshold.

After the trigger, save the transition to the four-option Bonus Picker before making or recording a gamble decision.

Four-option Bonus Picker

Quickspin states that four different feature options appear. Record every option exactly as displayed: Free Spins count and any associated feature conditions. The public page excerpt does not list their full values, so do not invent a generic table.

Save the selected option and whether selection is manual or server-resolved in the deployed version. A promotional screenshot from another configuration is not evidence for the live picker.

The chosen option defines the feature being audited. Keep it in the header of every bonus-spin row.

Same stake and no bonus Scatter

Free Spins are played at the same bet level as the triggering base spin. Record that stake at entry and confirm the feature history uses it for all awards.

The Scatter symbol is not available during Free Spins according to the provider page. Do not search for retrigger Scatters or report a missing Scatter as an error.

Any extra-spin or multiplier behaviour must come from the selected picker option and live help, not from an assumed Scatter retrigger.

Gamble from three to four Scatters

With a three-Scatter entry, the feature can offer a 50/50 gamble for the chance to move to four Scatters. Record the current option package at risk, confirmation screen and outcome.

Winning moves the entry to the four-Scatter state. Losing forfeits the risked state according to the displayed gamble rules; do not describe the decision as a free upgrade.

The player can decline and collect the existing feature rather than gamble.

Gamble from four to five Scatters

At four Scatters, another 50/50 gamble can attempt to reach five. Save the four-Scatter package before the decision and the five-Scatter result or loss after it.

Do not combine the two gamble steps into one 50/50 path from three directly to five. Reaching five through the gamble requires winning each separate stage.

Once five Scatters are reached, the provider says the gamble is unavailable. Record the final feature option rather than inventing a sixth tier.

Five-Scatter direct trigger

If five Scatters land naturally, the Free Spins feature starts at the five-Scatter state and cannot be gambled. Preserve the trigger grid and selected picker package.

This path avoids the two preliminary risk decisions but does not imply a guaranteed result inside Free Spins. The variable ways and selected feature still determine each award.

Do not relabel the direct trigger as a successful gamble in analytics.

Bought entry at 90×

Where enabled, the Buy Feature costs 90× the bet and purchases three Scatter symbols. Record the base stake, account-currency price, active version and confirmation.

Quickspin states that a base-game spin randomly awards the same number of Scatters purchased. Save the actual three-Scatter trigger and the resulting picker screen.

The purchase is available only in the base game and may be disabled by market. It buys feature entry, not a 90× minimum return.

Scope of the 96.29% figure

The provider explicitly gives 96.29% as the theoretical payout of the Buy Feature. Label it “buy RTP” and keep it separate from the standard paid-spin RTP.

Do not use that number in metadata or a comparison table as the universal game return unless the exact live help confirms the same figure for standard play. The public statement has a narrow route-specific scope.

Record the standard-game RTP independently from the deployed help and retain the date and Game ID.

Natural and purchased entry

A natural entry is proven by three or more Scatters on an ordinary paid spin. A bought entry is proven by the 90× confirmation and generated three-Scatter result.

Both routes reach the picker and may expose the first gamble step, but their debits and RTP context differ. Mark entry type in the feature record.

Do not compare the purchase’s 96.29% figure with one natural feature result as though they measure the same sample.

Bonus-spin worksheet

Use columns for spin, reel heights, displayed ways, symbol, qualifying instances, raw ways award, Emerald Wild coordinates, multiplier product and final subtotal.

At feature level add entry route, Scatter count, gamble decisions, selected picker option, bet level and standard or buy RTP evidence.

Because Scatter is absent during Free Spins, do not reserve a retrigger column unless the selected option introduces a separately documented mechanism.

Worked base-game calculation

Suppose one symbol appears twice on reel one, once on reel two, three times on reel three and once on reel four. The qualifying way count is the product of those instances, subject to the live paytable.

If the reel-two and reel-four instances include participating 2× and 4× Emerald Wilds, multiply the raw award by 8. Do not add the factors to six.

This example explains the order of operations and does not state an actual symbol value or outcome frequency.

Worked gamble record

Start with the three-Scatter feature package shown by the picker. Record the choice to gamble and the 50/50 result. If successful, save the four-Scatter package before deciding whether to attempt the second step.

Record collect or gamble at four. A loss should show the forfeited package; a win should show the five-Scatter state with no further gamble.

The ledger demonstrates informed chronology without presenting either result as predictable.

Mobile presentation

On a phone, every reel height, displayed ways count and Emerald multiplier label should remain visible. A cropped top or bottom row can make the recorded height vector inaccurate.

The four picker options and gamble risk must be readable before confirmation. “50/50” should not be hidden behind animation or an overlay.

Completed history should identify participating Wilds; visible Wilds alone do not prove that all multipliers applied to one win.

Support evidence package

Provide title, Game ID, standard RTP, stake, round ID, reel heights, displayed ways and complete grid. For every award include raw ways count and participating Emerald Wild factor.

For Free Spins add entry route, Scatter count, picker options, selection and gamble decisions. For a purchase attach the 90× confirmation and buy-RTP disclosure.

Account passwords and wallet recovery details are unnecessary for game-result review.

Source and New Zealand scope

Quickspin’s page supports variable ways, base Wild values, multiplier multiplication, Scatter entry, picker, gamble and buy terms. It does not prove that the game or purchase is available through a New Zealand casino.

The mountain-and-phoenix hero is original editorial artwork rather than a reel screenshot. Use current operator help and server history for deployed facts, and keep Eastern Emeralds Megaways separate from the original Eastern Emeralds title.

Closing calculation audit

Before closing a round, recalculate each winning symbol independently. Verify the reel-height vector, number of qualifying instances and raw ways subtotal, then list only the Emerald Wilds highlighted as participants in that specific win. Multiply their reel-based values and apply the product once.

For the bonus, confirm that the stake matches the triggering spin, the selected picker option matches the history and no Scatter-based retrigger was invented after Scatters disappeared from the feature. If a gamble occurred, preserve both the package placed at risk and the result. Finally, reconcile all spin subtotals with the server feature total and account ledger credit, keeping buy and standard RTP evidence in separate fields.

Frequently asked questions

Are the ways fixed? No. The reel heights change and so does the ways count.

Where can Emerald Wilds land? On reels two to five.

Are multiple Wild values added? No. Participating Wild multipliers are multiplied.

What is the buy price? 90× the bet where available.

Is New Zealand availability confirmed? No. The provider page does not establish operator access.

Official source

Bottom line: identify the current ways count, then multiply only the Emerald Wilds that actually participate in the winning combination.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
