Catrina's Coins — collect every multiplier before the lives expire

Three Catrina Coins enter Pueblo del Cielo with their values attached. Stars, coins and Piñata multipliers then build one final total across a three-life collection round.

Catrina’s Coins by Quickspin is a 3×5, 20-line game. Three or more Catrina Coins trigger Pueblo del Cielo and carry multiplier values of x1–x5 into its collection grid.

Verified configuration

The official sheet lists total RTP versions of 96.06%, 94.18% and 87.07%, volatility five out of five and a €0.20–€100 reference stake range. These values do not confirm an NZD deployment.

The sheet’s simulations reached about 10,140x–10,151x depending on model. Provider promotional copy also rounds the figure to 10,000x. This review preserves the more precise sheet figures without presenting them as likely outcomes.

Piñatas, Stars and Starpots

A Piñata reveals x2, x3, x4 or x5. In the base game it multiplies line and Starpot wins; in the bonus it multiplies Starpots and Catrina Coins on the reels.

Stars award fixed Starpot values of 20x, 100x, 500x or 2,000x. Stars appear on the rightmost reel in the base game and can appear on any reel during the bonus.

Pueblo del Cielo

The bonus begins with three lives. Every new symbol resets the counter to three. Stars and Catrina Coins carry displayed multipliers, while each Piñata multiplies all those values on the reels.

When all lives are used, the multipliers are summed and applied to the base-game bet. The official buy costs 60x and triggers with at least three Catrina Coins, where allowed.

Mobile and evidence checks

Keep remaining lives, Coin and Star values, Piñata multiplier and final sum visible. Record the Game ID and each life reset if the final collection is questioned.

Candy Glyph also uses a festive Piñata motif but its mechanics are cluster tumbles and charged power-ups. See the Quickspin guide for source and availability checks.

Base grid and 20 lines

Catrina’s Coins uses five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines. Standard wins follow those line patterns. Open the deployed paytable for direction, symbol values and Wild substitution.

Catrina Coins, Stars and Piñatas are feature symbols with distinct calculations. Keep ordinary line wins in a separate subtotal from coin collection and Starpots.

The supplier’s euro range is a reference. Record the currency and stake actually displayed by the operator.

Three-Coin trigger

Three or more Catrina Coins open Pueblo del Cielo. Save every trigger coordinate before the grid changes.

The triggering Coins carry values from x1 to x5 into the same bonus positions. Record the revealed value of each Coin as the starting grid.

Do not assign a value before the game reveals it. The trigger count and carried multiplier are separate facts.

Coin-value ledger

Give every Coin a coordinate, initial value and current value. When a Piñata changes it, preserve both before and after states.

Keep values in multiplier units during the feature and apply the base-game bet at final settlement. Repeated currency conversion at every animation can create rounding errors.

An existing Coin remaining on the grid is not a new symbol on each life. Only a newly landed symbol resets the counter.

Stars in the base game

Stars can appear on the rightmost reel during base play. Each awards one fixed Starpot: 20×, 100×, 500× or 2,000×.

Record the revealed Starpot and base-game Piñata state. A Star visible without its revealed amount is not evidence of the highest 2,000× value.

The rightmost-reel restriction applies to base play. Do not carry it into the bonus, where Stars can land on any reel.

Stars in Pueblo del Cielo

During the bonus, a new Star can land anywhere on the 3×5 grid. It reveals one of the same fixed Starpot values and remains part of the collection state.

Store coordinate, Starpot value and current Piñata multiplier effect. Because it is a new symbol, its landing resets lives to three.

Stars are value symbols, not shared progressive jackpots. The fixed amounts are multipliers of the relevant bet under the paytable.

Piñata in the base game

A Piñata reveals x2, x3, x4 or x5. In base play, it multiplies eligible line wins and Starpot wins on that result.

Record the ordinary line subtotal, Starpot subtotal, Piñata value and final award separately. This prevents the Piñata from being treated as a standalone coin.

If several Piñatas appear, follow the deployed history for combination order. Do not automatically multiply all labels together.

Piñata in the bonus

Inside Pueblo del Cielo, each Piñata multiplies the Catrina Coin and Starpot values held on the reels according to the feature rule.

Capture the entire grid before the effect and the updated values afterward. A final screenshot can hide whether x2 and x5 acted sequentially or on different eligible sets.

Store every Piñata event chronologically. Later multipliers can act on values changed by earlier events if the live history shows that sequence.

Three-life counter

Pueblo del Cielo begins with three lives. A new Coin, Star or other qualifying bonus symbol resets the counter to three. A drop without a new symbol reduces it by one.

The feature ends after the counter expires. Record lives before and after every drop so a reset cannot be confused with an extra paid spin.

Existing symbols staying visible do not reset lives. A Piñata effect on existing values is not automatically a new-symbol landing unless the game registers a new Piñata cell.

Feature grid example

Suppose the trigger carries Coins at A1, C2 and E3 with values x1, x3 and x5. Store a starting coin pool of nine multiplier units.

If a Star later reveals 100×, add that Starpot as a separate value. If an x2 Piñata then acts on all eligible values, record the pre-effect values and their doubled states.

This is a bookkeeping example, not a promised or typical outcome. Actual values and targets must come from the server round.

Final sum

When lives expire, sum all current Catrina Coin and Starpot values after the documented Piñata effects. Apply the base-game bet as defined by the paytable.

Do not add the same original and multiplied value together unless the history explicitly retains both. The current value replaces its prior state in the ledger.

Add any separate base-game line award once, then compare the combined result with the account credit.

60× feature buy

The direct purchase costs 60× the current bet and triggers with at least three Catrina Coins. Confirm base stake, total currency debit, active RTP and delivered trigger grid.

The route buys entry, not a 60× minimum return. The carried Coins can still begin at low values and the life sequence remains random.

Availability varies by market. The Quickspin product page does not prove a New Zealand account can use the control.

RTP alternatives

The listed total returns are 96.06%, 94.18% and 87.07%. They are separate deployments. Identical Catrina artwork can accompany any one of them.

Record the Game ID and exact RTP from live help. All are rated five out of five for volatility in the source.

Do not import the four-model table from another Coins title. This sheet publishes three rows.

Product headline and simulation results

Provider copy rounds the potential to 10,000×, while the sheet’s simulations observed roughly 10,140×–10,151× depending on model.

Preserve the distinction: simulation peaks are observed test results, while a product headline can be rounded. Neither should be called a guaranteed award.

Use the live paytable for an explicit contractual maximum if it states one. Do not select the largest simulation value as universal.

Bonus worksheet

Begin with title, Game ID, RTP, stake, trigger count and starting Coin coordinates. Add one row per bonus drop with lives before, new symbols, Piñata effects and lives after.

Keep Coin and Star values by coordinate. For each multiplier, save the grid before and after. At expiry, calculate the final current-value sum.

Attach the server round ID and account credit. For a purchase, attach the separate 60× debit.

Mobile validation

On a phone, verify that all 15 cells, three-life counter, Coin values, Starpots and Piñata multiplier remain readable.

Open a completed round and confirm that its history exposes the order of multipliers. A final celebratory total is not enough for several sequential Piñatas.

The purchase confirmation must show the complete account-currency price before acceptance.

Catrina versus Candy Glyph

Both titles use festive Piñata imagery, but Candy Glyph is a 7×7 cluster game with a charged five-power-up sequence. Catrina’s Coins is a 20-line collection game with fixed Starpots and three lives.

Confirm the exact title and Game ID. Never copy Candy Glyph’s x99 Piñata state or 1/20-bet removal payments into this page.

Product and market scope

Quickspin establishes the title’s mechanics, RTPs and reference range. It does not establish New Zealand casino availability, NZD limits or operator withdrawals.

Confirm those account facts separately. Keep the celestial-village image labelled as respectful editorial artwork rather than a gameplay screenshot, and date the source review.

Trigger state versus first bonus drop

Preserve the base result and the transferred bonus grid as two states. The base result proves three or more Catrina Coins; the transferred grid reveals their x1–x5 values.

Do not expect the base symbols to show the same multiplier artwork before transition. Record the reveal event that assigns each carried value.

The first bonus drop occurs only after the starting grid and three-life counter are established. A new symbol on that drop resets the counter to three even though it already began at three; store the event without incorrectly adding a fourth life.

Distinguishing value changes from new symbols

A Piñata can change existing Coin and Star values. That mathematical update is not the same as a new grid cell unless a Piñata symbol has newly landed.

Use two columns: “new symbol landed” and “values modified”. The first controls the life reset; the second explains the payout state.

This distinction prevents every multiplier animation from being counted as another life. Follow the visible counter and server history when both occur together.

Multiple Piñata sequence

Label Piñata events P1, P2 and onward. For each, store reveal x2, x3, x4 or x5; eligible coordinates; values before; and values after.

If P2 acts on values already multiplied by P1, the chronological table will show that. If the game instead combines or limits effects, the server result will reveal the active rule.

Never take the product of all Piñata labels and apply it to the original pool without checking which symbols were present for each event.

Arrival time changes which Piñatas a value receives

An original numerical worksheet shows why a final multiplier shortcut can lose information. Suppose an invented starting board contains three carried Coins with values 1, 3 and 5 bet units. A newly landed ×2 Piñata acts on those Coins. A Star then arrives with the listed 20-unit Starpot value. Later, a newly landed ×3 Piñata acts on the current Coins and Star. Assume these events finish in that order with no other value-changing operation.

Snapshot in this invented sequence Coin A Coin B Coin C Later Star S Current eligible subtotal
Starting carried values 1 3 5 Not present 9
After first ×2 Piñata 2 6 10 Not present 18
After S arrives 2 6 10 20 38
After later ×3 Piñata 6 18 30 60 114

The original Coins received both operations and therefore show six times their opening values. S received only the later ×3 because it did not exist at the first multiplier event. The correct equivalent expression for this particular history is (9 × 2 + 20) × 3 = 114. Multiplying every final object’s original value by six would instead produce (9 + 20) × 6 = 174, incorrectly granting S an earlier event. Leaving S unmultiplied would give 9 × 6 + 20 = 74, missing its later event.

Neither 174 nor 74 is an alternative possible settlement of the same stated worksheet; each demonstrates a different transcription error. The actual game may create other sequences, and the worksheet does not assert that these events occur with any particular frequency. Reproduce the observed order rather than selecting the expression with the largest number.

The overcount is 174 − 114 = 60, assigning S a value of 120 instead of 60. The undercount is 114 − 74 = 40, leaving S at 20 instead of 60. Both discrepancies isolate the same late-arriving object rather than an error in the three original Coins.

Keep the Star’s identity as a 20-unit original tier even when its current value is 60. That modified 60 is not a new fixed Starpot tier and should not be relabelled as such. The Piñata symbols are operation records here, not extra Coin or Star objects with an invented value to add to 114.

For conversion only, an illustrative base bet of 0.50 account-currency units turns the final 114-unit snapshot into 57 currency units. This is not a guaranteed payout, a verified available stake or a statement that the feature has ended. Subsequent arrivals and Piñatas can change the board until its documented terminal event. At actual settlement, convert the final current-value sum once and reconcile it with the round credit; do not add the 9, 18 and 38 intermediate subtotals again. They are earlier states of the same objects, not separate awards.

Starpot identity and fixed awards

Use names or tiers for the four fixed values: 20×, 100×, 500× and 2,000×. Store the actual reveal rather than referring only to “a Starpot”.

The values are fixed award multipliers within the game, not casino-wide progressive balances. Their size does not depend on how long another player has been using the title.

When a Piñata affects a Starpot, preserve the original tier and modified current value. This makes a 100× pot multiplied to 300× distinguishable from a naturally revealed 500× pot.

Life-counter edge cases

If several new symbols land on one drop, the counter resets once to three. It does not become three plus the number of symbols.

If no new symbol lands, reduce the counter by one even when an existing value flashes or a celebration continues. Only the event record establishes a qualifying landing.

When the final life reaches zero, let all effects from that drop finish before calculating settlement. Do not close the grid before a newly displayed Piñata or Star value has resolved.

Coordinate ledger example

Use A1–E3 for the grid. A row can contain coordinate, type, original value, current value, arrival drop and last Piñata applied.

After each drop, compare the current table with the screen. New cells receive an arrival number; persistent cells retain theirs. Value changes update only the current-value field.

At the end, filter to current Coins and Starpots, sum their current multipliers and reconcile the result with the history. This procedure avoids counting removed symbols or obsolete values.

Base-game Piñata example

Suppose a base result has a 20× Starpot, ordinary line wins totalling 4× and an x3 Piñata. Store both eligible subtotals and the multiplier effect shown by the paytable.

Do not assume the Piñata always multiplies the simple sum in one operation; verify how the history lists line and Starpot results. The example defines fields, not the provider’s undisclosed event order.

This base result is separate from Pueblo del Cielo unless the same spin also includes at least three trigger Coins.

Bought-feature delivery check

The 60× confirmation should lead to a base result with at least three Catrina Coins and then the carried bonus state. Record the number actually delivered and their values.

If more than three Coins appear, preserve the stronger entry. If fewer appear, save the round before contacting support. Do not rely on a cropped transition screen.

The debit and award must remain separate in the ledger. A correct 60× charge does not become part of the multiplier sum.

RTP-model evidence

Pair each reviewed round with 96.06%, 94.18% or 87.07% as shown by the active help. The same title and artwork do not prove the highest version.

Where a casino launches the game through an aggregator, the provider label and Game ID should still be recorded. An aggregator lobby percentage is weaker than the in-game information screen.

Do not calculate an implied fourth model from other Quickspin Coins titles. The official Catrina sheet provides three.

Simulation wording audit

If exact model peaks are added, write “largest result observed in the provider’s simulation” rather than “maximum win” unless the live rules state a formal cap.

Keep the sample size and model beside the value. Do not quote only 10,151× because it is the largest of the three observations.

The rounded 10,000× product copy should remain identified as promotional wording, not silently replaced with the sheet number.

Support-case package

For a questioned round, provide trigger grid, carried Coin values, every drop, life counter, Stars, Starpots, Piñatas, final grid, Game ID and round ID.

The support team can then compare symbol arrival and multiplier order. A screenshot of only the final “win” screen cannot answer whether a life reset or Piñata was applied.

Do not include passwords, wallet secrets or unrelated payment records. This is a game-settlement case.

Final editorial checklist

Verify 20 lines, three-Coin trigger, x1–x5 Coin values, four fixed Starpots, x2–x5 Piñatas, three lives, 60× buy and three RTP rows.

Check that all claims remain title-specific and respectful. Remove any imported Candy Glyph rule or generic casino filler.

Run the word-count, duplicate-paragraph, internal-link and image-path checks before marking the page complete.

Final ledger reconciliation

At settlement, compare the calculated current-value sum and any base line awards with the server’s round credit. Use the active base bet shown in the history.

If the main balance differs, inspect concurrent activity before raising a discrepancy. Archive the state table, source date and round ID for version-aware support.

Official sources

Bottom line: distinguish base-game Piñata effects from bonus collection multipliers, and preserve every life reset before checking the final sum.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
