Cash Truck Begins — expand the raid before counting the gold
Winning tumbles unlock a 7-high field, a completed grid releases a 3×3 Wild, and the bonus converts connected special symbols into one final value.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Cash Truck Begins by Quickspin is a 5-reel game that starts four rows high with three locked positions above each reel and can expand to seven rows and 16,807 ways. Wins tumble, unlock spaces and may culminate in a central 3×3 Big Wild.
Verified configuration
The official sheet lists RTP totals of 96.19%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 84.21%. Volatility is five out of five for the first three and 3.5 for the 84% model. The reference stake range is €0.20–€100. The 20,000x Max Raid ends the bonus and pays that amount.
The provider documents rules, not New Zealand casino availability, NZD or market access to feature purchases.
Tumbles and expansion
Winning symbols disappear and replacements fall into place. Every new winning tumble adds to the round total and opens three random locked locations. Expansion continues only while new wins occur.
When all locked positions are open and tumbles finish, a 3×3 Big Wild appears in the centre and the win is evaluated. Two Bonus symbols after tumbles can trigger Second Chance: ordinary symbols clear, three locked positions open and a new drop occurs.
Multiplier Collect Bonus
Three or more Bonus symbols start three spins. New special symbols stick and reset the counter to three; an empty spin reduces it by one. Extra trigger symbols add Expander symbols.
Grabber copies other values into itself, Doubler doubles itself on a reset, Zapper doubles orthogonally connected values, Booster adds its value across the unlocked area, and Upgrader converts nearby symbols or upgrades them to Brutal variants. Expander unlocks three positions. Brutal effects repeat when later symbols land.
The final award is the sum of current symbol values multiplied by the bet. Position and execution order matter; do not add visual values before all features finish.
Buy routes and conflicting copy
The current product page states 75x and 375x, while its linked game sheet states 40x and 185x. This conflict is material. The deployed in-game help and purchase confirmation must settle the actual price; do not use either pair blindly.
The higher route starts with at least five Bonus symbols and therefore additional Expanders. A purchase buys entry, not a minimum return.
Evidence and scope
Confirm Game ID, RTP, stake, unlocked grid, Second Chance state and bonus-symbol sequence. The supplier’s euro limits and simulation figures do not establish NZD support or local availability.
Sticky Bandits Thunder Rail uses connected train-heist tiles rather than a barbarian expansion grid. The Quickspin guide explains version checks.
How the base grid opens
Every paid base round starts with five reels at four visible rows plus a locked area containing three more rows. That is a partially closed 5×7 structure rather than an ordinary fixed-height slot. Winning symbols tumble away, replacement symbols fall into the open cells, and every tumble that creates another win opens three randomly selected locked positions.
Record the grid after each tumble. The useful fields are open cells, newly revealed cells, symbols removed and the ways available at that height. The advertised 16,807 ways corresponds to the fully opened 5×7 play area; a round that remains at four rows uses fewer active combinations. Expansion therefore follows successful tumbles, not an independent meter.
The sequence stops when a tumble creates no new win. Any still-locked cells remain closed for that paid round. The next paid round returns to its starting layout unless the live help states another mode. A screenshot of a fully expanded board does not prove that every spin starts with 16,807 ways.
Second Chance Scatter
Second Chance is evaluated after the tumbles finish. If exactly two Bonus Scatters remain in the open area, the game preserves them, removes the other open symbols, unlocks three random positions and drops a fresh set of symbols. This creates one extra opportunity for a third scatter under the published rule.
The feature is not a general respin of the original board. The two scatters stay, ordinary symbols are cleared, and the open area expands before the replacement symbols arrive. Record the grid size before and after the three-cell opening so the result can be reconstructed.
If the new board reaches three or more scatters, Bonus Game entry follows. If it does not, the base round settles. Do not describe two scatters as a stored state for the next paid round; Second Chance belongs to the current tumble sequence.
Full expansion and the 3×3 Big Wild
When no locked positions remain after all base-game tumbles, Quickspin places a 3×3 Big Wild in the centre and evaluates the result. The timing is important: the Big Wild does not appear on every expanded tumble. It is placed after the board has fully opened and the tumble chain has completed.
Mark the central nine positions and identify which ways use the Wild substitutions. The Wild does not substitute for Bonus Scatters. Therefore, the 3×3 block can contribute to ordinary wins but cannot manufacture Bonus Game entry.
The result created by the Big Wild is part of the same paid round. Round history should include the preceding tumble wins and the final Big Wild evaluation in one settlement. If the interface presents the final board as a separate animation, that does not make it another wager.
Bonus Game state and three-life counter
Three or more Bonus Scatters start the Multiplier Collect Bonus Game with three spins. Every special symbol that lands remains for the feature. When at least one new symbol appears, the counter resets to three; when none appears, it decreases by one. The game ends after three consecutive spins with no new symbol.
Extra scatters above three add one starting Expander symbol each. Preserve the trigger count because a five-scatter entry begins with two more Expanders than a three-scatter entry. The 75× purchase guarantees at least three scatters, while the 375× purchase guarantees at least five, so those routes have different starting states even before the first bonus spin.
At settlement, the current values of all relevant symbols are summed and multiplied by the base bet. Keep symbol values in multiplier units during the feature, then perform the currency calculation once at the end. This prevents repeated application of the stake when Grabbers or Boosters copy values between symbols.
Grabber, Doubler and Booster calculations
A normal Grabber adds the values of every other symbol in the unlocked area to its own value when it lands. The source does not say those other symbols lose value, so this is a copy-and-add operation. Brutal Grabber repeats its action whenever another symbol lands on a later spin.
Doubler doubles its own value whenever the life counter resets to three. That trigger is not every bonus spin; it requires at least one new symbol. A normal Booster adds its own value to all other symbols when it lands. Brutal Booster repeats that distribution on every later spin where another symbol lands.
For each action, store a before-and-after value table. Apply the effect at the published event and do not recompute earlier states. When several persistent Brutal features react to the same landing, use the execution order displayed by the game help or round replay, because changing the order can change later values.
Zapper chains and orthogonal connection
Zapper doubles every symbol connected to it through an orthogonal chain: positions must touch by an edge, not only by a corner. Draw the occupied grid and trace the connected component beginning at the Zapper. Symbols outside that component keep their previous values.
Brutal Zapper performs the same doubling when it lands and again whenever another symbol lands during the remaining feature. A new symbol can connect previously separate groups, so the affected component can grow. Record the grid before the landing and after the connection is established.
This geometry is different from the Upgrader, which affects only the four immediately adjacent positions above, below, left and right. Keeping “connected chain” and “direct neighbour” separate prevents an Upgrader from being applied across an entire Zapper cluster.
Upgrader and Expander effects
The Upgrader can transform a Cash symbol into a Grabber or Booster and can promote a Grabber, Zapper or Booster to its Brutal version. Record the source type, upgraded type and coordinates. The page does not describe a Cash-to-Zapper path, so it should not be added by analogy.
Expander unlocks three random locations from the locked area. This can increase the space in which later symbols appear, but it does not guarantee those new locations will immediately contain valuable symbols. The open-area state should be updated before the next life is evaluated.
An entry with additional scatters begins with more Expander symbols, which is why the 375× route differs mechanically from the 75× route. The purchase price itself is not a multiplier applied to the bonus; it is the cost of entering a specified starting configuration.
Max Raid and RTP variants
A total Bonus Game win of 20,000× the base bet triggers Max Raid, ends the feature and pays that amount. The binding maximum should be checked in the active help for the deployed Game ID. If symbols or lives remain when the threshold is reached, early termination follows the cap rule rather than the ordinary three-empty-spin ending.
Quickspin advertises 96%, 94%, 92% and 84% RTP families. Record the exact in-game value instead of using 96% as a universal figure. A different RTP can keep the same artwork and feature rules, so a short result history cannot identify the configuration.
Purchase modes can also have separately disclosed RTP information. Keep base play, 75× entry and 375× entry as separate rows when the help provides those values. Do not average them into one number.
Cash Truck Begins audit worksheet
For the base game, record stake, grid height, active ways, every tumble, the three-cell expansions, Second Chance state and any final Big Wild. For the bonus, record trigger count, starting Expanders, open cells, life counter and each persistent symbol with its value and type.
Add a chronological row for every new landing and every reaction by Brutal features. Use coordinates for Zapper connections and Upgrader neighbours. At the end, sum the displayed current symbol values once and multiply by the base bet, unless Max Raid has already applied the 20,000× cap.
This worksheet is specific to Cash Truck Begins. Its expanding base grid, three-life collect feature and persistent reaction order should not be replaced by rules from another Cash Truck title.
Reconciling ways as the board expands
At the four-row starting height, each reel exposes fewer symbol positions than the fully opened seven-row board. The number displayed as “ways” should therefore be captured at the current grid state. Do not label every base spin as a 16,807-way spin merely because that is the documented maximum.
For a left-to-right ways win, count the matching symbol positions on each consecutive reel involved and multiply those counts according to the live paytable. Repeat for each winning symbol, then apply its symbol award and bet unit as specified by the game. The round history is preferable to a visual estimate when overlapping symbols tumble away quickly.
Expansion opens three random locked cells after a winning tumble. Those cells can be distributed across different reels, so the board can become irregular before reaching the full 5×7 rectangle. Record coordinates rather than noting only a nominal row count. The active-ways display or game history resolves how the irregular open shape is evaluated.
The 3×3 Big Wild belongs to the final fully opened state and can create ordinary symbol combinations across the centre. It does not change the documented condition for Bonus Scatters. Keep its line or ways contribution separate from the preceding tumble subtotal.
An irregular-grid capacity worksheet
Three newly opened locations do not necessarily mean one complete new row. The provider says the locations are randomly selected, so two boards with the same number of open cells can distribute them differently between the five reels. Record the open-position count on every reel rather than treating a partly expanded grid as a uniform rectangle.
For a structural example, assume each open position can participate in the ordinary all-position ways product. This assumption tests combinatorial capacity only; use the launched help and active-ways display to confirm any exclusions in a particular client. The examples are invented opening patterns, not observations or predictions of the random expansion.
| Illustrative open positions on reels one to five | Total open cells | Structural product |
|---|---|---|
4, 4, 4, 4, 4 |
20 | 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 1,024 |
7, 4, 4, 4, 4 |
23 | 7 × 4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 1,792 |
5, 5, 5, 4, 4 |
23 | 5 × 5 × 5 × 4 × 4 = 2,000 |
7, 7, 7, 7, 7 |
35 | 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 = 16,807 |
The middle two rows both add three open locations to the initial twenty, yet their structural products differ. Labelling either board “five rows” and calculating 5⁵ would describe twenty-five positions, not the twenty-three positions in either imagined state. A row-height shorthand loses the distribution that matters to the product.
In this invented pair, 2,000 − 1,792 = 208 additional structural paths arise from distribution alone. That difference is neither 208 awards nor a forecast of improved monetary return.
These products still do not count winning combinations. To examine one paying symbol, replace each reel’s open-position count with the eligible instances of that symbol, including only Wild substitutions permitted by the help. A board can have substantial capacity while lacking the symbol connections needed to pay. Apply paytable values and the game’s settlement rules only after that symbol-specific step.
Keep the expansion event in the same round record as the tumble that opened it. If another win opens three more locations, create a new count vector and preserve the old one rather than replacing the history. At full expansion the vector reaches seven on every reel, but the final 3×3 Big Wild still has its separately documented timing after tumbles finish. Neither capacity arithmetic nor open-cell count can bring that effect forward to an earlier partially locked state.
Ordering several bonus effects
A crowded Multiplier Collect Bonus can contain Grabbers, Doublers, Zappers, Boosters, Upgraders and their Brutal forms at the same time. The mathematically safe method is event logging, not trying to calculate from the final screenshot alone.
When a new symbol lands, first record its initial type, value and coordinate. Then follow the animation and history in the order shown: any immediate landing effect, upgrades, connection-based Zapper changes, distributed Booster additions and reactions from existing Brutal symbols. Store the grid after every operation.
Do not invent a universal precedence rule if the provider help does not print one. The replay is evidence of the active engine’s execution order. Two operations that appear commutative at small values may produce different totals once a Grabber copies values that have already been doubled or boosted.
A Re-Action by a Brutal feature depends on a later symbol landing. An empty bonus spin reduces the life counter and does not provide a new symbol for those reactions. This prevents the persistent symbols from being repeatedly applied on every animation frame.
Resolving the published purchase-price conflict
The captured Quickspin product page and linked game sheet do not agree on the two bonus-entry prices. Because both are official supplier materials, the discrepancy must be shown rather than silently selecting the more attractive pair. Publication date, regional build or a later product revision may explain the difference, but that explanation is not established by the documents alone.
Open the deployed game’s information panel and purchase confirmation. Record Game ID, RTP, account currency, base bet, stated multiplier and final deduction. The final deduction divided by the base bet should reproduce the displayed purchase multiplier. If it does not, cancel and check whether another stake mode is active.
Support can be asked which document applies to that Game ID. Preserve the answer with its date, but the actual confirmation immediately before purchase remains the most relevant price evidence for the transaction.
The conflict does not affect the documented distinction between routes: the lower route starts with at least three Bonus symbols, while the higher route starts with at least five and consequently includes additional Expanders. Price and starting state are separate facts and both need verification.
Mobile round-history test
Before relying on the game on a phone, open one completed base round and one bonus history entry. Confirm that the record exposes the stake, tumble sequence, grid expansion, special-symbol values and final credit at readable size. A compressed final screenshot is not enough for a multi-stage bonus.
Check that locked and open cells use more than subtle colour differences, and that the life counter remains visible when a feature animation covers the grid. If the browser or app offers reduced motion, ensure that enabling it does not hide the execution log.
For support evidence, capture the round ID and textual history rather than a long screen recording where values blur. The coordinate worksheet can then be compared with the operator’s server-side record.
Product facts and account facts
Quickspin’s documents establish the expanding grid, symbol effects, purchase routes, RTP families and maximum. They do not establish that the game is offered to a New Zealand account, that feature purchases are enabled, or that euro reference stakes translate directly into NZD limits.
The operator’s logged-in game help establishes the deployed build. The operator’s terms establish account eligibility and payout conditions. Keeping those sources separate allows a detailed mechanical review without assigning unverified commercial conditions to the supplier.

Bottom line: track locked positions and special-symbol order, and resolve the provider’s purchase-price conflict in the live help before acting.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
