Tornado Rampage: travelling Golden Wilds and verified RTP
A source-led map of the funnel-shaped grid, two rotating Wild circuits, multiplier growth and Free Spins persistence.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Tornado Rampage appears in PG Soft’s catalogue as ID 2126622 and code tornado-rampg. The English rulebook reviewed here is version 1.0.r3, updated 16 July 2026. Its unusual 3–4–5–4–3 grid is not decoration: Golden Wilds travel around two defined circuits and can build multipliers through respins or Free Spins.
PG Soft documents 96.75% RTP, medium volatility, 36 connecting ways and a 5,000× cap. These values describe the cited supplier configuration. They do not establish a New Zealand launch, an operator’s chosen RTP or the availability of every control.

The technical summary lists standard spinning reels, bet sizes 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5, levels 1–10 and support for iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows. It names Gaming Associates as tester. None of those global fields proves that a particular operator or territory offers the same configuration.
Understanding the funnel grid
Reels one and five have three rows, reels two and four have four, and the centre reel has five. The outer circuit consists of every position on reels one and five, the first and fourth rows of reels two and four, and the first and fifth rows of reel three. The inner circuit uses rows two and three on reels two and four plus rows two and four on reel three. The exact centre—row three of reel three—does not travel.
Draw the 19 positions before analysing a round. A standard rectangular screenshot encourages the wrong assumption that each reel has the same height. Marking the outer ring, inner ring and fixed centre separately makes the clockwise movement verifiable.
What triggers the Respin Feature
One or more Golden Wilds anywhere in a main-game spin trigger a respin. Before that respin, a winning Golden Wild without a factor receives 2×; a winning one that already carries a factor increases by one. All Golden Wilds remain while the other reels spin once.
Outer- and inner-ring Golden Wilds then move one position clockwise along their own circuits. A centre Golden Wild stays put. If an additional Golden Wild lands during the feature, the respin retriggers. This sequence can repeat, but the rulebook does not promise how frequently new Wilds will arrive.
All wins involving Golden Wilds are multiplied by the sum of the factors on the Golden Wilds involved. That word matters. Two qualifying 2× Wilds contribute a total 4× factor under the documented rule; they are not automatically multiplied into 4× because multiplication happened between them. The outcome may look identical in that small example, so larger factors and server history are needed to confirm the operation visually.
Free Spins and persistent movement
Three Scatters award eight Free Spins. Each additional Scatter at entry adds two. During the feature, every Golden Wild remains until the feature finishes. A newly landed Wild therefore becomes part of the rotating state for subsequent spins rather than disappearing after one settlement.
A winning Golden Wild without a factor gains 2× for the next spin; an already multiplied winning Golden Wild increases by one. The movement follows the same outer, inner and centre rules as the respin feature. Each +1 symbol visible during Free Spins adds one spin.
The order is important: capture the grid, identify the qualifying win, update factors, settle the current award as the server specifies, rotate the Wilds for the next state and update the counter. A review that simply says “sticky Wilds increase” loses the spatial rule that makes the game identifiable.
The 36-way paytable
Tornado Rampage uses connecting ways rather than fixed lines. The official paytable defines which neighbouring positions connect across the uneven reels. Wild substitutes for ordinary pay symbols but not Scatter or Golden Wild; Golden Wild substitutes for ordinary pays but not Scatter or the standard Wild.
Because the two Wild types exclude one another, do not treat every Wild-looking symbol as interchangeable. On a credited way, record the exact substitute and whether a Golden Wild’s factor participated. The cash value comes from the in-game table at the selected total bet.
RTP, hit rate and volatility
The 96.75% RTP is a theoretical result over a large simulation. PG Soft attributes 61.20 percentage points to the main game and 35.57 to Free Spins. The 38.76% overall hit rate combines a 38.20% main-game rate and a 0.56% feature rate in the supplier summary.
A hit-rate percentage says how often a simulated round registered a payout under its counting method; it does not state how often a player will be ahead. Medium volatility is likewise a portfolio classification, not a promise of smooth results. The presence of persistent factors can still concentrate meaningful awards in comparatively rare sequences.
The 5,000× ceiling is both the simulated maximum exposure and advertised cap in version 1.0.r3. If accumulated main-game or Free Spins winnings reach it, the round ends. Do not present that ceiling as an expected outcome or a jackpot value.
A rotation audit that fits on one page
Create three diagrams for every feature step: before result, after multiplier update, and next-spin position. Number the outer circuit clockwise and use letters for the inner circuit. A centre Wild gets its own fixed marker. This separates movement from factor growth.
Beside the diagrams, record the winning way, involved Golden Wilds, the sum of their factors, base award, credited award and remaining spins. When a new Golden Wild retriggers a respin, add it to the appropriate circuit before drawing the next state. Compare the finished sheet with game history rather than the animation alone.
Mobile behaviour to test
The supplier specifies a portrait-oriented 1080×2340 reference resolution. On a 390-pixel viewport, the central fifth row, both travel circuits and every printed factor should stay visible. Colour cannot be the sole difference between standard and Golden Wilds; an icon, outline or label should remain discernible with reduced colour perception.
Rotate or background the browser during a permitted preview. After returning, confirm positions, factors, counter and round ID. A travelling symbol is particularly vulnerable to animation-state confusion, so history must describe the settled result even if the screen transition was interrupted.
Deployment questions
Before paying, open the intended account’s help and verify the title, catalogue code or ID, displayed RTP, complete wager, maximum award and currency. Confirm whether autoplay and Turbo are enabled. The global document’s €0.20–€100 defaults cannot be converted into an NZD promise.
This article also does not prove a demo is legally accessible, that 22Bet carries the title or that any promotional bonus contributes at a particular rate. Those are operator facts and can change independently of the studio rules.
Questions to answer from live history
Use one ordinary Golden Wild respin and one Free Spins sequence to answer five concrete questions. Does the history identify inner, outer and centre positions? Does a winning unmultiplied Golden Wild become 2× before the next state? Does an existing factor rise by exactly one? Are participating factors summed visibly? Does each +1 symbol change the counter by one?
Do not infer an answer from a smooth animation. Save the parent round ID, component awards and final credit. If the history omits the travelling state, record the omission as a transparency limitation. The correct editorial response is to narrow the claim, not to replace missing server evidence with a reconstruction from a third-party video.
Responsible session boundary
The rotating Wild state can encourage “one more spin” thinking because a feature appears to be building. Every paid main-game spin is still a separate wager, and an unfinished-looking visual pattern does not make the next trigger due. Set the money and time limit before launch, avoid chasing a prior loss, and use account controls if continuing no longer feels deliberate.
Final assessment
Tornado Rampage has a coherent mechanical identity: Golden Wilds rotate through two rings, grow after qualifying wins and persist in Free Spins. The official PDF is specific enough to audit movement and factor arithmetic instead of relying on theme-based descriptions.
Its strongest documented facts are version, layout, RTP, hit-rate split and 5,000× cap. Local access and the operator configuration remain deliberately unresolved. That separation is more useful than treating a catalogue card as proof of an available NZ game.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
