Supermarket Spree rules and multiplier guide
A source-based audit of the r939a build: eight-symbol clusters, additive multiplier symbols, free-spin retriggers, paytable reading and the difference between theoretical and simulated maxima.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Supermarket Spree is PG Soft catalogue ID 115. The official document identifies version 1.0r939a, updated 8 July 2025. It uses a 6×6 grid, collapsing reels and a combination rule requiring eight or more matching symbols anywhere in view.
The checked figures are 96.71% RTP, medium volatility and a 28.15% overall hit rate. PG Soft advertises a 25,000x maximum; its highest exposure in one billion simulated spins was 2,309x. These numbers need separate labels.

The base bet is 20. PG Soft lists bet sizes 0.01, 0.05 and 0.1 across ten levels. Always use the final total shown by the client; selector components and EUR references do not establish an operator’s local settings.
Combination wins and collapses
Unlike a connected cluster game, the checked description awards a combination when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the grid. The symbols do not need to form one horizontal-and-vertical group. This is why calling every 6×6 title “cluster pays” without reading its rule can be misleading.
Winning symbols are removed, remaining pieces fall and replacements enter. The new 6×6 arrangement is evaluated again. No extra stake should be taken for those collapses because they remain part of the original paid spin.
Count the matching symbols highlighted by the client, not every object of a similar colour. The paytable provides different awards as the count increases. A final screenshot cannot reconstruct earlier stages after their symbols have disappeared, so use round history.
Base-game multiplier symbols
One or more Multiplier symbols with values from x2 to x5 can appear during a main-game spin. At the end of the spin, their displayed values are added together, and the total win from that spin is multiplied by the resulting sum.
For example, x2 and x4 symbols produce an aggregate x6 under the documented rule, not x8. If the unmultiplied accumulated win is 3x stake, the resulting calculation is 18x. This example explains the sequence only and is not a predicted outcome.
The timing phrase “at the end of the spin” matters. Record all collapse-stage wins first, then the collected multiplier values and final settlement. Applying each factor independently to selected clusters can overstate the return.
Free Spins Feature
Three Scatter symbols appearing anywhere award ten free spins. Each additional Scatter on the triggering grid adds two. During the feature, Multiplier symbols range from x5 to x50 and their values are added at the end of each free spin before multiplying that spin’s total win.
Two Scatter symbols during free spins award five additional spins. The document explicitly states that the feature can retrigger. This is a different threshold from the three-symbol base trigger, so an audit should identify whether the symbols landed before or during the feature.
The RTP split is 66.17% main game and 30.54% Free Spins Feature. Those components total 96.71% over the model. They do not indicate what one trigger should return, and a x50 multiplier symbol does not guarantee a win if there is no qualifying symbol combination.
Hit rate and win labels
PG Soft reports 28.15% overall hit rate, 27.71% main game and 0.44% free-spin feature. A hit is not synonymous with profit because the settled return can be below the stake.
Big Win, Mega Win and Super Mega Win frequencies are 1 in 378, 1 in 1,364 and 1 in 2,279. These relate to provider-defined presentation thresholds, not directly to the 2,309x simulation peak or 25,000x maximum.
Two maximum figures
The 25,000x advertised maximum is the theoretical model ceiling. The 2,309x exposure is the largest result observed in a one-billion-spin simulation. A finite simulation can remain far below the model boundary, and neither figure predicts a future round.
A hypothetical one-unit stake would translate them into 25,000 and 2,309 units. That arithmetic does not confirm currency, payout caps or availability at any operator.
Mobile reading
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows with a 1080×2340 portrait reference. On mobile, the important elements are the full 6×6 grid, count of matching symbols, collected multipliers, free-spin counter and final stake.
Because multiplier values are added, a partially obscured icon can change the arithmetic materially. Wait for settlement or use history. Turbo affects animation speed, not the published return model, but can make manual capture harder.
Demo and availability limits
This page does not host a Supermarket Spree demo. The sponsored routes do not prove that the game is carried at their destination. Official PG Soft evidence verifies the supplier model, not New Zealand access, 22Bet presence, NZD support or account eligibility.
Verify operator availability through an authenticated lobby and current terms. A public catalogue cannot authorise a territorial bypass or establish a local stake range.
Who may prefer it
Supermarket Spree may suit readers who like a large grid, count-based wins and multipliers whose arithmetic is visible. Its free-spin feature strengthens the same multiplier concept rather than introducing an unrelated mini-game.
It may be less appealing to someone who wants fixed paylines, adjacent-only clusters or a single settlement. High multiplier artwork can encourage chasing; it has no memory. Set time and money limits before play and consult the responsible gambling guide for controls.
Version checklist
Confirm ID 115, r939a, 6×6 grid, eight-symbol threshold, collapsing reels, x2–x5 base multipliers, additive calculation, three-Scatter trigger, ten spins, x5–x50 bonus multipliers, two-Scatter five-spin retrigger, 96.71% RTP and medium volatility.
Use the PG Soft catalogue guide for source hierarchy, the editorial methodology for maximum labels and the corrections policy for discrepancies.
A multiplier audit worksheet
The cleanest record separates symbol wins from multiplier collection. In the first column, list each collapse and its unmultiplied return. In the second, total those stage returns. In the third, list every Multiplier symbol still counted at the end of the spin. Add those values once, then apply the resulting factor to the accumulated win.
Suppose three collapses return 0.8x, 1.1x and 0.6x. Their subtotal is 2.5x. If the final screen contains x2 and x5 Multiplier symbols, the documented addition rule produces x7 and a 17.5x settlement. Applying x2 to one collapse and x5 to another would not follow the source.
For free spins, perform the worksheet separately for every spin because multiplier values are collected and applied at the end of that free spin. Do not carry an x50 icon into the next spin unless the loaded Help explicitly shows persistence; r939a describes per-spin addition.
Paytable evidence
The grocery artwork is decorative until it is linked to the paytable. Capture the symbol table at the selected total stake and note awards for the eight-symbol threshold and larger counts. This prevents a common mistake in which a value from a different stake or an unofficial review is treated as the loaded payout.
When more than one symbol type reaches eight copies after a collapse, history should show each qualifying combination and the total before multiplier application. If the interface presents only a final credit, save the round identifier and ask verified support for a transaction breakdown instead of reverse-engineering missing stages.
Session observations without false conclusions
A short test can verify interface behaviour but not RTP. Use it to confirm the eight-symbol threshold, removal order, multiplier timing and history format. Do not divide a handful of returns by stakes and label the result an “observed RTP”; the official percentage describes a far larger mathematical model.
Keep notes factual: number of paid rounds, total stake, whether a feature appeared and whether the controls matched r939a. Avoid phrases such as “hot”, “cold” or “ready to pay”. Those interpretations assign memory to independent random outcomes.
If a session ends before free spins appear, that absence does not contradict the game sheet. The 0.44% feature hit-rate component is a model statistic, not a timetable. Raising the stake cannot make the trigger due and only increases money at risk.
FAQ
What RTP is documented?
The r939a file states 96.71%. The loaded Help panel is the final configuration check.
How many matching symbols create a win?
Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×6 grid qualify under the documented combination rule.
Are multiplier symbols added or multiplied together?
Their values are added, then the spin’s total win is multiplied by that sum.
How are free spins retriggered?
Two Scatters during the feature add five spins. The initial trigger needs three Scatters and awards ten.
Is the game confirmed for New Zealand?
No. Supplier documents do not prove operator-level territorial availability.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
