Songkran Splash is PG Soft catalogue ID 1448762. This guide is based on the official English game-information file version 1.0 r4, updated 8 July 2025. It describes five collapsing reels arranged with three, four, five, four and three rows, producing 720 ways.

The official sources disagree on one important number. The r4 PDF states 96.69% RTP, while the current PG Soft catalogue card and API record display 96.65%. Both sources classify the title as high volatility and give a 5,000× maximum. The difference is reported rather than silently corrected.

The r4 model attributes 69.39 percentage points of RTP to the main game and 27.30 to Free Spins. Its hit-rate components are 32.47% and 0.44%. These values document a mathematical build and do not forecast a short playing session.

Reading the diamond-shaped grid

Reels one and five have three positions, reels two and four have four, and the centre reel has five. Matching symbols are evaluated as ways on adjacent reels from the left. Winning symbols disappear and replacements collapse into the uneven field.

The row shape matters when documenting positions. Use reel and row coordinates rather than describing a symbol as merely “near the centre”. A winning symbol on reel two affects the multiplier above reel two; a visually adjacent symbol on reel one does not.

Wild substitutes for ordinary paying symbols except Scatter and appears on reels two through five. Its substitution can make a way, and if that winning position is on reel two, three or four it also contributes to the multiplier rule for that reel.

Each collapse creates a new round within the same paid spin. Number the rounds because multipliers start inactive and change only after the relevant wins have been paid.

Three multipliers begin inactive

At the start of every main-game spin, the multipliers above reels two, three and four are inactive. A winning symbol on one of those reels activates the corresponding multiplier if it is not already active.

The official wording does not assign a higher value merely because several winning symbols appeared during first activation. It says the win sets an inactive reel multiplier to active. Save the display after activation rather than inventing the starting number from an animation.

Once a reel’s multiplier is active, later winning symbols on that same reel increase its value by the number of winning symbols there. If three winning positions occur on reel three during a later round, the active reel-three multiplier rises by three.

Keep independent counts for reels two, three and four. A win spanning all three can activate or raise more than one value, but a symbol on reel five cannot increase the reel-four factor simply because it belongs to the same way.

Active values are added for settlement

All wins are multiplied by the total sum of active multiplier values. This differs from Mystical Spirits, where three colour values are multiplied together. Songkran Splash uses addition across the active reel multipliers.

Suppose the active display shows reel two at 2×, reel three at 4× and reel four at 3×. The current combined factor is 9×, not 24×. If only one reel is active, the combined factor is simply that reel’s displayed value.

The change happens after wins are paid. Record the factor used for the current award, then the winning positions that activate or raise the multipliers for the next collapse. Do not retroactively apply an increased value to the result that created it.

Worked multiplier sequence

Start with all three multipliers inactive. The opening board wins using symbols on reels two, three and five. Settle that ways award under the opening state. After payment, the multipliers for reels two and three become active; reel four remains inactive because it had no winning symbol.

Replacement symbols collapse and create a second win. This time one winning symbol is on reel two, two are on reel three and one is on reel four. Use the values displayed before this second award. After settlement, raise reel two by one and reel three by two because they were already active; activate reel four.

On the third field, add the three displayed values to obtain the active factor. Preserve the interface calculation rather than assigning a multiplication formula from another game. If the third field loses, the paid spin ends and the next paid spin begins with all three multipliers inactive again.

A compact ledger needs columns for collapse round, base ways award, reel-two state, reel-three state, reel-four state, combined sum, winning positions by reel and values after collection. That separates timing questions from payout questions.

Free Spins reset, then use the same rule

Three Scatter symbols anywhere award 12 free spins. Each extra triggering Scatter adds two, and the feature can retrigger. At the beginning of the feature, all three reel multipliers are set inactive.

Within Free Spins, the same activation and increase mechanism applies: wins on reels two through four activate or raise their respective values, and the current active values are summed for settlement. The r4 wording does not state that the values automatically start above their main-game levels.

The document also does not say that accumulated values persist from one free spin to the next. Its wording sets the feature multipliers inactive at feature start and describes the round-after-win process. Use the live meter animation and history to establish persistence across individual free spins rather than assuming it.

For every free spin, save the beginning meter state, each collapse round, final state and remaining-spin counter. Retriggers should be recorded separately from multiplier changes because only Scatter symbols add free spins.

Resolving 96.69% and 96.65%

The PDF is explicit: r4 identifies a 96.69% theoretical return. The catalogue list and API object for ID 1448762 currently display 96.65%. A difference of 0.04 percentage points is still a material source conflict for a rules review.

It may reflect a later catalogue configuration, a revision outside the PDF or inconsistent public metadata. The available sources do not prove which explanation is correct. Calling either value “the only RTP” would overstate the evidence.

The correct operator-level check is the percentage shown in the loaded Help screen. Label it with title, version, operator, territory and date. If it matches neither public value, preserve it as a third deployed configuration rather than averaging the figures.

Readers comparing studio data can use the PG Soft catalogue hub, which keeps catalogue maximums separate from active operator settings.

Paytable and ways audit

The live paytable should confirm the 720-ways evaluation, Wild substitution, Scatter exclusion and symbols’ stake-dependent awards. It should also explain whether an active multiplier begins at a displayed 1× or another labelled state.

Capture the uneven reel layout in the same evidence set as the paytable. A generic “five reels” screenshot can hide the 3/4/5/4/3 geometry that determines the number of positions.

When a Wild forms part of a winning way on a multiplier reel, use history to confirm how the game counts that position for activation or growth. Do not assume Wild is ignored simply because it substitutes for another symbol; the feature rule refers to any winning symbol.

Maximum win and optional features

The r4 maximum and simulated maximum exposure are both 5,000×. The maximum-win clause says the game ends when total winnings reach that amount. The number is a hard cap for the reference build, not an expected outcome.

Unlike several neighbouring PG Soft documents, the checked Songkran Splash r4 PDF does not provide a Feature Buy section. This page therefore does not claim that a purchase option exists. If an operator displays one, document it as a deployment feature and verify its rules locally.

Reference stakes are €0.20 to €100. They come from the supplier’s EUR summary and cannot establish NZD limits. The operator client must show total stake, currency and any local limits before play.

RTP is not a session promise

Whichever documented configuration is loaded, RTP applies over a long theoretical horizon. A value near 96.7% does not mean every hundred currency units produces a fixed return, and a losing sequence does not make a multiplier chain more likely on the next paid spin.

The 32.91% hit rate is also not a profitability measure. It includes results of different sizes and does not reveal how often an active multiplier produces a net gain for the entire session. High volatility warns that realised results can vary widely.

Multiplier state can make one collapse visually exciting, but it resets with the next paid spin under the main-game rule. Increasing the stake because two reels are active changes exposure; it does not improve the random probability of the next board.

Mobile checks

The supplier lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows and a reference portrait resolution of 1080 by 2340. On a small screen, confirm that the three values above reels two through four remain legible and are not confused with decorative water containers.

Test whether history exposes the factor used before each increase. An animation that immediately changes a meter can make it difficult to know whether the old or new value settled the preceding award.

Demo and New Zealand boundary

No Songkran Splash demo is embedded here. The buttons are clearly sponsored exits, not promises of free play. A redirect can work even when the title is unavailable after login.

PG Soft’s global catalogue does not verify availability at 22Bet or for a New Zealand account. It also does not establish local currency, local wager limits or an operator’s selected RTP. Confirm all of those in the authenticated lobby.

If the title is absent, record the provider filter and date. The absence alone cannot prove a regulatory block, permanent removal or technical outage.

Cultural and editorial scope

The game uses imagery associated with Thailand’s Songkran water festival. This guide limits itself to documented game mechanics and does not turn a cultural celebration into a claim about winning, luck or purification of losses.

The responsible gambling guide offers practical limit and break tools. It does not recommend a staking system because no staking pattern changes the random result generator.

Pre-play evidence checklist

Verify these items together:

  • exact title and ID 1448762;
  • Help version and active RTP;
  • 3/4/5/4/3 grid and 720 ways;
  • Wild reels and exclusions;
  • inactive starting state on reels two, three and four;
  • activation rule for a first win on each reel;
  • increase by the number of later winning symbols;
  • addition of active multiplier values;
  • three-Scatter trigger and 12 starting free spins;
  • 5,000× cap, currency and total stake;
  • round-history access.

If live evidence contradicts this page, submit it through the corrections policy with the game version visible. That makes it possible to distinguish a new build from an editorial mistake.

FAQ

Why are two RTP values shown?

PG Soft’s r4 PDF states 96.69%; the current catalogue and API show 96.65%. Live Help identifies the operator’s loaded value.

Which reels have multipliers?

Reels two, three and four. They begin inactive for a new main-game spin.

Are the active values added or multiplied together?

They are added. The sum of the active reel values becomes the win multiplier.

What triggers Free Spins?

Three Scatters award 12 free spins, and each additional triggering Scatter adds two. The feature can retrigger.

What is the maximum win?

The r4 reference cap is 5,000 times the bet.

Is New Zealand access confirmed?

No. Global supplier sources do not confirm access or configuration for a specific NZ operator account.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
