Safari Wilds rules, centre-reel transformations and multipliers
A grid-first guide to the tall centre reels, changing ways count, post-win Wild conversions and the faster multiplier schedule used during Free Spins.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Safari Wilds is PG Soft catalogue ID 1594259. The checked English rules file is version 1.0 r3, updated 8 July 2025. It describes six collapsing reels: five rows on reels one, two, five and six, with six rows on the two central reels.
The provider states 96.75% RTP, medium volatility and a 5,000× maximum. Its mathematical table lists a variable range of 400 to 22,500 ways, so the current grid state must be read before evaluating a round.

The r3 model allocates 71.99 percentage points of RTP to the main game and 24.76 to Free Spins. These figures describe the theoretical build, not a promise for one session.
Grid geometry and variable ways
The two middle reels have one extra row compared with the four outside reels. A ways win connects matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left. The supplier range indicates that the number of valid routes can change with the game’s active configuration.
Record the displayed ways count for the round instead of quoting only the maximum. A 22,500-way ceiling does not mean every opening grid evaluates all 22,500 routes. The Help screen and round state determine the correct count.
After a win, its symbols are removed and replacements collapse. Number every new grid because both the multiplier and centre-reel transformation depend on the preceding result.
Reels three and four transform previous winners
At each new round after symbols cascade, any symbol on reels three or four that participated in the previous win transforms into Wild. The transformation belongs to the next grid.
First settle the winning symbol according to its original paytable identity. Then mark its position for Wild conversion after the collapse. Do not use the new Wild to enlarge the way that created it.
Wild substitutes for paying symbols except Scatter and ordinarily appears only on reels three and four. A transformation on an outside reel would not match the checked r3 rule.
A symbol can participate in several ways during one round, but its physical position converts once. Counting one conversion for every way would overstate the number of Wild positions.
Main-game multiplier ladder
The first round begins at 1×. A first-round win raises the second round to 2×; a second-round win raises the third to 3×; a third-round win raises the fourth and every later round to 5×.
Apply the factor associated with each round only to that round’s base award. Reaching 5× does not recalculate earlier wins. An audit ledger should include round number, ways count, transformed positions, base award, factor and settled award.
Transformation Wilds and the ladder interact because both reward an extended collapse, but they remain separate. The Wild changes symbol substitution on the grid; the factor changes the numerical value after the ways award is calculated.
Free Spins start faster
Four Scatters anywhere award 12 free spins. Each additional Scatter adds two, and the feature can retrigger. During Free Spins, the four ladder stages become 2×, 4×, 6× and 10×.
The opening free-spin round therefore uses 2×, the second winning round 4×, the third 6× and the fourth or later 10×. Keep this schedule separate from the 1×/2×/3×/5× main game.
The centre-reel Wild transformation still needs a previous winning symbol on reels three or four. A higher feature factor does not convert non-winning symbols and does not make Scatter substitute.
Worked collapse example
Suppose the first Free Spins grid creates ways involving two symbols on reel three and one on reel four. Settle the base award at 2×. After those winners disappear and new symbols collapse, transform the three qualifying centre positions into Wild.
If the new grid wins, calculate its active ways using those Wilds and apply 4×. Mark any new winning positions on reels three and four for the following round. A third win receives 6×; a fourth receives 10×.
The record should show each transformation after its source round. This avoids using a future Wild too early or applying 10× to the entire free spin.
Maximum, stakes and Feature Buy
The maximum is 5,000× the bet. Reaching it ends the spin or feature. The cap is not a jackpot value, a probability or an extra factor added to the 10× feature round.
The supplier lists bet sizes 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5 across ten levels, producing default EUR stakes from €0.20 to €100. Those figures do not establish New Zealand currency or operator limits.
Version r3 describes a Feature Buy menu without proving worldwide enablement or one price. Where offered, capture the selected stake, currency, price and RTP before confirming.
Mobile and history checks
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows with a 1080×2340 portrait reference. On mobile, verify that the sixth rows of the centre reels, current ways count, converted positions, multiplier and total stake remain readable.
After a disconnection, use game history to match round ID, stake, ways count, collapse grids, centre-reel winners, Wild transformations, factor and final settlement. A resumed animation may begin after a transformation has already been applied.
Demo and territorial boundary
The studio may provide a catalogue preview. The sponsored links on this page are not described as a Safari Wilds demo. A global listing does not establish availability through 22Bet or in New Zealand.
Verify authenticated lobby access, territorial terms and the loaded Help screen separately. If another RTP, ways range or version appears, save both sources and report the deployment difference.
Player-fit assessment
Safari Wilds may suit readers who enjoy visible state changes and variable ways. It may be a poor fit for someone who wants fixed paylines, a constant grid or low volatility. Wildlife art has no effect on the result model.
Set a session budget and time limit in advance. A winning symbol on a centre reel can create a Wild for the next round, but it does not guarantee that the next grid will form another way.
Paytable evidence pack
Before wagering, save the Help header, 5/5/6/6/5/5 row pattern, ways definition, symbol paytable, Wild restriction, Scatter trigger and both multiplier schedules. Record the active currency and total stake separately.
For a disputed result, calculate the original ways award before converting any centre symbol. Apply the current factor, perform the collapse, then convert only the positions documented by the preceding win. Repeat until a grid produces no award.
Building a centre-reel transformation map
Draw reels three and four as two six-cell columns and give every position a stable coordinate. For each round, mark the ordinary symbol that participated in a win, its base contribution and the Wild state that replaces it on the following grid. If a winning combination uses several copies of the same symbol on one centre reel, preserve every physical coordinate rather than writing only the symbol name.
This map answers two questions that a final replay frame cannot: which Wilds were inherited from the previous round, and which ordinary symbols are scheduled to transform after the current payment. Keeping those states in separate colours or columns prevents a newly created Wild from being used too early.
Ways-count audit at changing grid states
The 400–22,500 range should be treated as a configuration field, not marketing shorthand. Capture the ways indicator before the first spin and after each structural change. If the interface does not display a count, use the Help definition and visible reel heights, but label the result as a reconstruction rather than an operator-disclosed number.
Do not calculate ways by simply multiplying every visible row count unless Help confirms that all symbols and positions participate in unrestricted adjacent-reel evaluation. Scatter, blocked positions or a particular combination rule can change the total. The official maximum is useful for identifying the build, while the active round still requires its own evidence.
Separating hit rate from RTP
The 35.84% overall hit rate in the supplier table measures how often the mathematical model records a qualifying event under its definition; it is not a chance of profit. A hit can settle below the original stake, and several collapse rounds belong to one paid spin. RTP is a separate long-run ratio across a very large sample. Neither number predicts whether a particular transformed centre grid will return more than it costs.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
