Museum Wonders is PG Soft catalogue ID 1755623, code museum-wonders. The English rules file is version 1.0 r7, updated 25 August 2025. Its five reels use four rows on the outer reels and six on reels two, three and four, producing 432 to 3,456 ways.
The official PDF and current catalogue state 96.71% RTP, high volatility and a 5,000× maximum. The core evidence problem is positional: a Mystery symbol occupies two spaces but counts as one symbol, and only winning Mystery symbols contribute their 2× factors.

The return split is 68.22 percentage points for the main game and 28.49 for Free Spins. Corresponding hit rates are 25.31% and 0.40%. These long-run values cannot tell a player when a Scatter or Mystery symbol will arrive.
Ways, Wilds and symbol size
A Mystery symbol occupies two symbol spaces. For payout calculations, that artwork represents one symbol rather than two independent matches. This distinction affects the active ways count and should be visible in the game’s history.
Wild substitutes for all regular symbols except Scatter and appears on reels two through five. A Wild can support a way, but it does not carry the Mystery 2× factor. Record the actual symbol type before assigning a multiplier.
Collapsing rounds continue after wins are removed and new symbols enter. Keep every round of one paid spin under the same round ID so that a persistent factor is not confused with a new wager.
Mystery symbols in the main game
A Mystery symbol can appear on reels two, three or four. It contains a randomly chosen non-Scatter symbol and a 2× multiplier. It stays until the end of the paid spin and reveals its inner symbol after being involved in a win.
If one or more Mystery symbols participate in a winning way, that round’s win is multiplied by the sum of their factors. The total then remains at the bottom of the reels. Later winning Mystery symbols increase the stored total until the paid spin ends.
When a later round contains a winning Mystery and an existing stored total, the rules apply the stored factor together with the new Mystery factors. The most reliable reconstruction is a collapse ledger with four fields: existing total, newly winning Mystery positions, new 2× additions and final displayed factor.
A Mystery that never joins a win should not be counted. Its presence can be visually prominent, but participation in settlement is the decisive condition.
Follow the reveal chain
For each collapse round, assign every Mystery an identifier such as M1, M2 or M3. Record its two-space footprint, concealed state, revealed regular symbol and whether it formed part of a winning way. If M1 joins a win, add its 2× to the persistent display after payment. If M2 remains visible but does not connect, keep it on the position map without adding a factor.
On the next collapse, write the stored total first. Then add only the identifiers that newly participate. This prevents the same persistent Mystery from being counted twice merely because it remains on screen. The final history entry should be compared with the chronological ledger, not with the number of Mystery artworks visible at the end.
The variable-height layout creates another trap: a two-space Mystery is one payout symbol. A visual connection across both of its cells does not produce two copies in the ways calculation. When drawing the map, use one identifier spanning both cells rather than writing the symbol twice.
During Free Spins, keep a second counter for occupied central positions. The automatic pre-spin addition expands that positional map, while only winning participation expands the multiplier bank. Treating those as separate columns makes it clear why nine occupied positions do not necessarily equal an 18× collected factor.
Scatter award and Free Spins
Three Scatters anywhere pay 3× the bet and trigger ten Free Spins. Each additional Scatter pays another 2× the bet. The extra Scatter payment is separate from the number of awarded spins; the checked wording does not say that extra Scatters add more initial spins.
At the start of every Free Spin, one Mystery symbol is placed at a random position on reels two, three or four. By the tenth spin, the central area can hold nine Mystery positions; once all nine are occupied, no further Mystery symbol is added.
Multipliers collected from winning Mystery symbols persist until the entire feature ends. A position map is therefore more useful than a single final screenshot. Draw the three central reels as a nine-position grid, mark the newly added Mystery before each spin and update only values that actually joined a win.
The file does not explicitly say Free Spins retrigger. Do not claim a retrigger unless the loaded Help screen documents it for the active version.
Feature Buy and maximum
Version 1.0 r7 documents a Feature Buy menu. Its price is whatever the client displays before confirmation; no universal cost can be taken from the PDF. Territory and account rules can also disable a supplier feature.
Main-game and feature settlement ends at 5,000× the bet. This maximum is a ceiling, not an expected award. The high-volatility label signals a broader distribution pattern but does not quantify risk for a particular session.
RTP, stake and platform evidence
The rules and catalogue agree on 96.71%, but an operator can still deploy a different permitted profile. Capture the Help-screen number and game identity before relying on it.
The PDF lists bet sizes of 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5 over ten levels, with €0.20 and €100 as default endpoints. These values identify the tested EUR reference. They do not establish NZD stakes, deposit limits or withdrawal conditions.
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows and provides a 1080×2340 portrait target. On mobile, ensure the variable reel heights, stored factor, nine central positions and remaining Free Spins can all be read without horizontal scrolling.
Interruption and history
If a collapse sequence or feature is interrupted, do not restart from memory. Reopen the game history and compare the central Mystery map, stored multiplier and remaining-spin count with the settled balance.
For a support request, save the original Scatter board, Feature Buy receipt if applicable, every persistent-factor change and the final round ID. The sequence explains settlement better than the “big win” label.
Demo and NZ availability
The supplier catalogue may provide a preview route. It can confirm interface terminology but not real-money eligibility, operator authorisation or NZD. The commercial CTAs here are explicitly sponsored and are not a Museum Wonders demo.
No statement on this page confirms that 22Bet or another operator carries the game in New Zealand. Authenticated lobby availability must be verified separately.
Who may find it appealing
Museum Wonders may suit readers who enjoy following a visible state across collapses and Free Spins. The central nine-position map creates an evidence trail that can be recorded precisely.
It is less suitable for someone who dislikes high volatility, variable reel sizes or persistent feature bookkeeping. A visually full museum board does not automatically mean every Mystery contributes.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
