Midas Fortune rules and Gold-to-Wild multiplier guide
A round-by-round explanation of Gold symbol conversion, the Midas Gold condition, Wild-based multiplier growth and the persistence rule used during eight Free Spins.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Midas Fortune is PG Soft catalogue ID 1402846. The primary English source checked here is version 1.0 r5, updated 8 July 2025. It documents a 5-by-5 collapsing field, clusters of five or more touching symbols, Gold-to-Wild transformations and a multiplier that grows when Wilds participate in wins.
The supplier profile gives 96.73% RTP, medium volatility and a 5,000× advertised maximum. Its one-billion-spin table separately reports 2,318× as maximum simulated exposure. This page preserves both labels instead of replacing one with the other.

The RTP split is 70.78 percentage points for the main game and 25.95 for Free Spins. Hit-rate components are 27.99% and 0.50%. They describe the tested model and do not make a feature or Gold group predictable.
Cluster settlement comes before the next collapse
Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically form a win. After payout, winning symbols explode and new symbols cascade into the spaces. The process repeats until no further cluster qualifies.
Diagonal contact alone does not complete a cluster. Record coordinates before removal, because a post-collapse screenshot cannot show which symbols created the preceding win or which Gold symbols were involved.
Wild substitutes for all ordinary paying symbols but not Scatter. Its second role is numerical: participating Wilds determine the round multiplier and can increase the stored factor for later collapses.
Gold symbols have two documented conversion routes
Some ordinary symbols may appear in gold. Wild and Scatter are excluded from becoming Gold symbols. During removal of a winning group, any Gold symbol involved in the previous round’s win changes into Wild for the next field.
The named Midas Gold Feature adds another condition. If three or more Gold symbols touch horizontally or vertically, they transform into Wild before wins are paid. This can change the same field’s evaluation and should be documented separately from the after-win conversion above.
The timing distinction is important:
- a connected group of at least three Gold symbols converts before payout;
- a Gold symbol involved in a settled win converts while that winning field is removed;
- the resulting Wild can then participate in later cluster evaluation.
A review that says only “Gold turns Wild” loses the sequence needed to reproduce settlement.
How the Wild multiplier grows
When one or more Wilds contribute to a win and no multiplier is stored, that round’s win is multiplied by the number of participating Wilds. After settlement, the resulting total remains above the grid until the paid spin ends.
When a stored multiplier already exists, the rules say the round uses the existing total in addition to a value equal to the number of Wilds participating in that win. After payout, the stored total increases by that Wild count.
For example, if the meter shows 2× and three Wilds participate, the relevant round should use a combined 5× under the stated additive wording. After payment, 5× remains for a later win in the same sequence. The live calculation panel should always be used to verify the deployed arithmetic.
Do not count every Wild visible on the board. The rule refers to Wilds involved in a win. Mark cluster membership and preserve the factor shown before and after settlement.
Free Spins preserve the total multiplier
Three Scatters anywhere award eight free spins. Every extra triggering Scatter adds two. Inside the feature, two Scatters award four additional spins, and retriggering is allowed.
The decisive feature change is persistence. Any multiplier shown above the field remains until the Free Spins Feature ends. A factor built in one free spin can therefore carry into later free spins, unlike the main game where it lasts only to the end of the current paid spin.
Use one ledger row per free spin: starting factor, Gold positions, converted Wilds, Wilds involved in each cluster, factor used for settlement, ending factor and spins remaining. This separates persistent state from animation.
The checked r5 rules do not contain a Feature Buy section. No purchase price or local availability is claimed here. A button in a later client would need operator-specific evidence.
Advertised maximum and simulation record
The official summary displays a 5,000× advertised maximum but reports 2,318× as the highest exposure observed in one billion simulated spins. The lower simulation record is not automatically the legal cap; the higher headline does not prove that the simulation reached it.
Readers should retain both labels and then check whether the deployed Help page contains a hard maximum clause. A third-party page showing only 2,318× may be repeating the simulation row, while another showing 5,000× may be repeating the advertised field.
Neither number supplies the probability of a large win. A maximum is not a target that becomes more likely after a losing run.
RTP and session interpretation
The 96.73% RTP belongs to the named reference model over a long theoretical horizon. It cannot be used to predict a short session or guarantee that a fixed proportion of one deposit returns.
The 28.50% overall hit rate records the frequency of qualifying results under the model, not their average size. Medium volatility remains a broad supplier category; the accumulating multiplier can still produce uneven sequences.
Paytable evidence
The active paytable should confirm the five-symbol cluster threshold, Gold exclusions, Wild substitution, Scatter trigger and multiplier wording. Capture it from the same loaded build as the RTP and total stake.
Do not transplant individual symbol awards between denominations. The PDF shows base-bet, bet-size and bet-level controls, so cash values need the current total-stake context.
Mobile and platform checks
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows with a 1080-by-2340 portrait reference. Cross-platform support does not prove access through every operator account.
On mobile, verify that Gold framing remains distinguishable from a normal border and that the multiplier above the field is not hidden by browser controls. Round history should expose the factor used for each win and the factor retained afterwards.
Disable Turbo mode while testing conversion order. Fast animation can make before-win Midas conversion look identical to the after-win Gold conversion even though their timing differs.
Availability and demo limits
This editorial page does not host a Midas Fortune demo. Its two commercial CTAs lead to a sponsored destination and do not confirm game availability.
The supplier catalogue does not establish New Zealand access, 22Bet deployment, NZD stakes or local optional features. Confirm those through an authenticated lobby and keep title, ID, Help version and check date together.
Who may find it readable
Midas Fortune may suit readers who like visible state that grows through a collapse chain. The difference between Gold framing, Wild conversion and multiplier storage makes it less simple than a static cluster game.
Set a loss and time limit before paid play. Do not extend a session because a Gold group appears close to connecting or because a stored multiplier has grown. The next random field is not owed a qualifying cluster. See the responsible gambling guide for control options.

FAQ
What RTP does the r5 document state?
It states 96.73% for the reference configuration. Confirm the operator Help value separately.
How large must a normal winning cluster be?
Five or more matching symbols must touch horizontally or vertically.
When does the Midas Gold Feature convert symbols?
Three or more touching Gold symbols transform into Wild before wins are paid.
How does the Wild multiplier increase?
It adds the number of Wilds involved in a winning cluster to the existing total.
Does the multiplier persist during Free Spins?
Yes. Any stored total remains until the feature ends under r5.
Is New Zealand availability confirmed?
No. Global supplier listing is not operator-level availability evidence.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
