Majestic Treasures rules and gold-frame cascades
A source-led explanation of the four-symbol cluster rule, delayed Wild transformations, multiplier ladder and the stronger free-spin values in PG Soft’s 5×5 game.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Majestic Treasures is PG Soft catalogue ID 95. The checked English game-information document is version 1.0 r939, updated 8 July 2025. It describes a 5×5 collapsing grid where groups of at least four matching symbols pay when they touch horizontally or vertically.
The document states 96.68% RTP, medium volatility and an advertised maximum of 50,000× the stake. Those are properties of the referenced build, not a prediction for one session. The supplier file does not prove that the game is available through a New Zealand operator.

PG Soft allocates 69.37 percentage points of the return model to the main game and 27.31 to free spins. The corresponding hit rates are 31.94% and 0.50%. These figures describe the simulated model; adding them to a personal session log does not create a short-term expectation.
How the cluster grid pays
A win begins with at least four copies of one paying symbol connected edge to edge. Diagonal contact alone does not join a group. A useful way to verify a result is to choose one symbol, mark every horizontal or vertical neighbour and count the connected area before looking at the displayed award.
Different groups of the same symbol should not be merged across an empty square or a diagonal gap. The paytable determines the value after the group size has been established. This order matters because the board may contain several small islands that look like one large shape at a glance.
Once wins are paid, all winning symbols explode and the remaining symbols fall into the empty positions. New symbols enter and another evaluation begins. One paid spin can therefore contain several rounds, but each new paid spin starts a fresh sequence.
Gold frames transform on the following round
Some ordinary symbols can arrive inside gold frames. Wild and Scatter do not receive those frames. A framed symbol does not become Wild simply because it appears: it must participate in a win during that round.
After the payout and collapse, every gold-framed symbol that contributed to the previous win transforms into Wild for the next evaluation. The delay is easy to miss. Save a board before the explosion, identify the framed winners, then compare their surviving positions on the next board.
Wild substitutes for ordinary paying symbols but not for Scatter. A transformed Wild can help a new cluster connect, yet it does not preserve the identity of the symbol that originally occupied the frame. Treat the transformation as a new state, not as a second payment for the original group.
If a framed symbol is present but does not belong to a winning cluster, the rules do not award the transformation merely for proximity. This distinction is central to checking the feature accurately.
Main-game multiplier ladder
Every new paid spin opens at 1×. A win in the first round moves the second round to 2×. A win there moves the third round to 3×. Another successful round raises the fourth and every later round in that sequence to 5×.
The multiplier shown for a round applies to wins in that round. Do not multiply the opening award by a value earned later, and do not carry 5× into the next paid spin. A simple audit table should contain round number, board multiplier before evaluation, cluster size, base award and settled award.
Gold-frame transformations and the ladder can interact: a framed winner changes into Wild while the sequence advances to its next multiplier. They remain separate operations. The frame affects symbol state; the ladder affects the value of qualifying wins.
Free spins: trigger and extra rounds
Three Scatter symbols anywhere trigger 12 free spins. Every Scatter beyond the third adds two more. Four Scatters therefore start 14 spins, while five start 16. The feature can retrigger under the same documented rule.
The free-spin sequence uses a stronger ladder: the displayed multiplier levels are 2×, 4×, 6× and 10×. The first winning round uses the opening level, and later successful collapses move through the ladder. Once 10× is reached it applies to later rounds in the same free spin, not automatically to every remaining free spin.
Keep three counts separate: free spins awarded, free spins remaining and collapse rounds within the current free spin. A retrigger changes the remaining-spin count; a cluster changes the collapse state. Combining the two is a common source of incorrect screenshots and summaries.
Worked cascade example
Imagine the opening grid contains five connected low symbols, two of them gold-framed. At 1× the cluster pays, explodes and those two qualifying framed positions are scheduled to become Wild. The second board settles at 2× and the new Wilds connect another group.
That second win advances the next board to 3×. If the third board produces no cluster, the sequence ends; there is no move to 5×. The two Wild transformations explain the board change, while the 2× and 3× values explain the award calculation.
During free spins, the same sequence uses 2×, then 4×, then 6×, with 10× available from the fourth successful stage onward. Writing the example as a timeline prevents the final multiplier from being applied backwards.
Maximum win and reference stakes
The advertised cap is 50,000× the bet. The PDF also records a maximum exposure of 5,236× observed in one billion simulated spins. These numbers answer different questions: one is the stated ceiling, the other is a result of a defined simulation. Neither is a promise that a player will approach either value.
PG Soft lists bet sizes 0.02, 0.2 and 2 with ten bet levels. The default EUR reference range is €0.20 to €200. It is not evidence of an NZD range or an operator-specific limit. Read the total stake, currency and any cap from the actual client before spinning.
Mobile, interruption and evidence
The supplier lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows, with a 1080×2340 portrait reference. On a phone, all 25 cells, gold frames, transformed Wilds and the current multiplier need to remain distinguishable. Colour alone should not be the only cue for a framed symbol.
If a connection drops during a collapse, consult game history before starting another round. Match the round ID and stake, then reconstruct each paid cluster, explosion, transformation and multiplier stage. A restored animation may resume after the server has already determined part of the sequence.
Demo and New Zealand boundary
PG Soft may present a preview in its own catalogue. The two sponsored routes on this page are not represented as a Majestic Treasures demo. An official supplier document confirms the rules build, not local availability.
To establish New Zealand access, check the authenticated operator lobby, territorial terms and the Help file loaded inside that session. If the live build shows a different RTP or version, keep both dated records and describe the deployment rather than silently replacing r939.
Who may like the format
Majestic Treasures may suit readers who enjoy cluster counting, persistent visual state within a cascade and a clear escalating multiplier. It may be less comfortable for someone who prefers fixed paylines, low volatility or a feature whose value is settled in a single reveal.
Set a time and spend limit before play. A board containing several gold frames is not a debt that the next collapse must repay. Frames transform only after participating in a win, and future symbol placement remains random.
Evidence checklist
- Match catalogue ID 95 and version 1.0 r939.
- Record the displayed RTP rather than assuming 96.68%.
- Count only horizontal and vertical cluster connections.
- Mark framed symbols before the winning group explodes.
- Transform only framed symbols that joined that win.
- Track the main 1×–2×–3×–5× ladder by round.
- Track the free-spin 2×–4×–6×–10× ladder separately.
- Save stake, round ID and final settlement.
FAQ
What RTP does r939 state?
The checked document states 96.68%.
How large must a cluster be?
At least four matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically.
What triggers free spins?
Three Scatters trigger 12 spins; each additional Scatter adds two.
Do gold frames transform immediately?
No. A framed symbol must join a win, then it transforms after the collapse.
What is the advertised maximum?
The supplier document states 50,000× the bet.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
