Mafia Mayhem rules, sticky Wild sequence and verified RTP
A round-by-round guide to the asymmetric 2,304-way grid, Gold Framed conversions, end-of-spin multiplier transformation and retriggerable Free Spins.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Mafia Mayhem is PG Soft catalogue ID 1580541. The checked source is English game-information version 1.0 r6, updated 8 July 2025. It documents six collapsing reels: three rows on reels one and two, then four rows on reels three through six, creating 2,304 ways.
The PDF reports 96.76% RTP, high volatility and a 10,000× maximum. PG Soft’s current catalogue may display 96.77% in some records; this page preserves the value in the named r6 rules rather than averaging two sources. The loaded Help screen decides which configuration a user is actually viewing.

The r6 table attributes 62.90 percentage points of RTP to the main game and 33.86 to Free Spins. It is a mathematical breakdown of the reference model, not a short-session return guarantee.
Ways, collapses and the uneven grid
Matching symbols pay on adjacent reels from the left. The first two reels have three positions while the remaining four have four, so the grid widens as it moves right. Paid symbols disappear and new symbols fall into place, creating another round without another stake.
Number every round in a spin. Gold Frames can change only after the framed symbol participates in a win, and Wilds remain until the paid spin ends. A single closing screenshot can hide when either state was created.
Wild substitutes for all paying symbols except Scatter and appears only on reels three through six in the checked rules. That restriction aligns with the Gold Frame zone.
Gold Frames create Wilds after a qualifying win
Ordinary symbols, excluding Wild and Scatter, may arrive with a Gold Frame on reels three to six. A framed symbol does not become Wild merely because it is visible. It must participate in a winning combination. After the paid round and collapse, that winning framed position converts to Wild.
The timing is important: first evaluate the ordinary symbol’s win, then transform the position for the next round. Do not use the new Wild to enlarge the round that created it. A round ledger should show the pre-win symbol, qualifying way, settled award, post-collapse Wild and any subsequent ways it assists.
Because the game uses ways rather than fixed lines, one framed symbol may participate in multiple combinations within the same round. It still creates one Wild position, not a separate Wild for every way.
Sticky Wilds and end-of-spin conversion
After wins are paid, Wilds remain on the reels until the paid spin ends. If one or more Wilds are present at the end, each may randomly transform into a Multiplier symbol valued from 2× to 100×.
The rules state that the spin’s total win is multiplied by the Multiplier symbols on the reels. When checking a result, preserve each converted value and the base total. Do not assume that every Wild must convert, and do not assign a value before the end-of-spin animation reveals it.
This mechanism has three stages: a frame qualifies, it becomes a sticky Wild for later collapses, and the remaining Wild may convert to a numerical factor at settlement. Conflating the stages is the most common source of an incorrect reconstruction.
Free Spins change the conversion timing
Three Scatters anywhere award 15 free spins. Each additional Scatter adds two, and Free Spins can retrigger. At the end of every Free Spin, all Wilds transform into Multiplier symbols with values from 2× to 100×.
That sentence is stronger than the main-game wording: the feature applies the transformation at the end of each free spin. It does not say one accumulated Wild board persists through all 15 spins. Treat every free spin as its own collapse sequence and settlement event unless the loaded Help explicitly documents otherwise.
Record the free-spin number, starting grid, Gold Frame conversions, sticky Wild positions, end-of-spin multiplier values, base win and settled amount. If a retrigger occurs, record the additional spins separately from the original allocation.
Worked evidence sequence
Suppose round one produces a win containing a Gold Framed symbol on reel four. Settle the ordinary ways award, remove the winners and convert that framed position into Wild for round two. If round two wins, the Wild remains while new symbols collapse. If the sequence then ends, capture the conversion animation and resulting multiplier value.
If two surviving Wilds reveal 4× and 10×, the result screen must be checked for the exact combination method shown by that build. Preserve the raw values and final server settlement rather than inferring from animation alone. The PDF’s concise language should not be expanded into an unsupported arithmetic rule where the Help screen can provide the answer.
In Free Spins, repeat the same process for each spin. A 100× value is within the documented range but its existence does not establish a probability, and a range endpoint is not an expected outcome.
RTP discrepancy and version discipline
The r6 PDF gives 96.76% overall RTP. If the live catalogue or game Help says 96.77%, record both the source and date. A 0.01 percentage-point difference is small, but silently rounding it away makes version tracking impossible.
Use the Help value for decisions about the loaded game and r6 for this historical reference. Do not blend them into 96.765%, because neither source publishes that configuration.
Maximum win, stakes and Feature Buy
The maximum win is 10,000× the bet. Reaching the cap ends the spin or feature. This is a ceiling, not an advertised chance and not an extra award added after multiplier settlement.
The supplier’s defaults use bet sizes 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5 across ten levels, giving €0.20–€100. An NZ-facing client may use another currency or range. The total stake displayed before Spin is the relevant evidence.
The rules describe a Feature Buy menu but do not establish worldwide access or one price. When enabled, capture the quoted cost, currency, selected stake and RTP disclosure on the confirmation screen.
Mobile and interruption checks
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows, with a 1080×2340 portrait reference. On mobile, verify that the narrower first reels, Gold Frames, Wild state, multiplier values and total stake remain distinguishable. Gold should not be the only cue for a state change.
After a connection loss, open server history before continuing. Match round ID, stake, collapse sequence, frame conversions, surviving Wilds, revealed values and settlement. Animation timing is secondary to the recorded result.
Demo and New Zealand boundary
An official catalogue preview may exist, but the sponsored CTAs here are not a Mafia Mayhem demo. PG Soft listing the title globally does not confirm access through 22Bet or for a New Zealand visitor.
Check the authenticated lobby, territorial terms and loaded Help separately. Where a local deployment differs, state the difference and date rather than transferring a global parameter into a local claim.
Player-fit assessment
Mafia Mayhem may interest readers who enjoy following state changes through a collapse chain. It may frustrate anyone who wants fixed paylines, low volatility or a multiplier known before the spin settles. The cinematic theme has no effect on the mathematics.
Set money and time limits before play. Do not chase a Gold Frame that failed to qualify or assume a sticky Wild makes the next round profitable. High volatility means long losing stretches remain possible.
Audit checklist
- Match title and catalogue ID 1580541.
- Record Help version and RTP without rounding a discrepancy away.
- Confirm the 2,304-way asymmetric grid.
- Mark Gold Frames only on reels three to six.
- Transform a frame only after its symbol wins.
- Keep Wilds sticky only for the current paid spin.
- Record every end-of-spin multiplier value.
- Save round ID, total stake and server settlement.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
