Legend of Perseus rules and big-symbol multiplier guide
A source-led account of oversized-symbol settlement, collected multipliers, collapsing ways and the exact Free Spins trigger documented in PG Soft version 1.0 r3.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Legend of Perseus is PG Soft catalogue ID 128. The checked English source is version 1.0 r3, updated 8 July 2025. It is a six-reel, five-row collapsing game with 15,625 ways and oversized 2x2 or 3x3 symbols carrying multiplier values.
The supplier reports 96.77% RTP, medium volatility and a 39.68% overall hit rate. Its advertised maximum is 50,000x, while the one-billion-spin simulation row reports 7,524x maximum exposure. The page keeps these two evidence labels distinct.

15,625 ways and collapsing rounds
Wins use ways across the six-by-five field. Paying symbols are removed and new ones fall into their spaces, allowing another round within the same paid spin.
Wild substitutes for ordinary symbols but not Scatter and appears only on reels two through six. The first reel therefore must begin a way with a matching ordinary symbol rather than a Wild.
An oversized symbol can occupy 2x1, 2x2 or 3x3 spaces but represents one symbol during payout calculations. Counting every occupied cell as a separate matching symbol would overstate the result.
Big-symbol multipliers are collected after destruction
The feature rules focus on 2x2 and 3x3 big symbols. A 2x2 symbol carries a multiplier from 3x to 5x; a 3x3 symbol carries 5x to 10x.
If a big symbol participates in a win, its displayed factor is collected after the winning symbols are destroyed. All wins during a round are multiplied by the win multiplier shown above the reels.
The order matters for verification. Capture the big symbol and its factor before the field is removed, then the collected value above the reels, then the calculation applied to the next payable round. A final total alone cannot show whether the correct big-symbol value entered the counter.
If more than one big symbol contributes, use the deployed Help and history to confirm how the client combines their values. The checked text identifies collection but should not be stretched into an undocumented arithmetic rule.
Free Spins use the same collection logic
Four Scatters anywhere trigger ten free spins. Each additional trigger Scatter adds two, and the feature can retrigger.
When a big symbol contributes to a feature win, its multiplier is collected after the symbol is destroyed. The source does not state that every free spin automatically receives a fixed multiplier, nor does it publish probabilities for 2x2 or 3x3 appearances.
A useful feature record includes spin number, field before settlement, dimensions and factor of every contributing big symbol, collected counter, award, additional collapses and remaining spins.
RTP and hit-rate interpretation
RTP of 96.77% is theoretical long-run return for the reference configuration. It is not a promise that a deposit, free-spin round or individual session returns that percentage.
The overall hit rate of 39.68% includes paying outcomes of different sizes. It cannot be read as a 39.68% chance of profit. Medium volatility is a supplier comparison category; the presence of a 50,000x headline does not make large outcomes frequent.
Advertised versus simulated maximum
The official summary displays 50,000x as the advertised maximum and 7,524x as maximum exposure found in one billion simulated spins. The figures should never be averaged or silently substituted.
The simulation row shows what was observed in that stated run. It does not mathematically disprove the larger designed ceiling. Conversely, the designed ceiling should not be described as having appeared in the billion-spin test.
Paytable, stake and version checks
The active paytable should confirm 15,625 ways, Wild reel restrictions, Scatter rules, oversized-symbol treatment and multiplier ranges. Save its version and RTP screen together.
Default supplier endpoints are EUR €0.20 and €100. These values do not prove NZD limits. The authenticated bet panel determines deployed currency and permitted stakes.
Mobile verification
PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows with a portrait reference of 1080 by 2340. On a phone, all six reels, the upper multiplier counter and dimensions of big symbols must be recognisable.
Turbo mode can compress destruction and collection animation. Turn it off when auditing and use history to identify which oversized symbol actually participated in the win.
Demo and local availability
This article does not host a Legend of Perseus demo. Its sponsored buttons are external commercial routes and are not evidence that the title is available through the destination.
The PG Soft source confirms the game specification, but not New Zealand eligibility, 22Bet placement, NZD stakes or a local demo. Those require an account-level operator check.
Player-fit assessment
Worked big-symbol audit
Imagine a 2x2 helmet symbol showing 4x across four visible cells. The paytable instruction means those four cells represent one symbol for ways calculation. First record the winning connection that includes the big symbol. Then record the 4x label before destruction, because it may disappear when the paying field collapses.
After settlement, check that the value is represented in the multiplier counter above the reels. If another winning field forms, record the factor actually applied to that round. Avoid multiplying the base award by four once for every occupied cell; doing so would count the same oversized symbol four times and contradict the supplier’s payout rule.
A 3x3 example follows the same logic but uses a documented range of 5x to 10x. Its larger footprint may alter many visible ways, yet it still counts as one symbol. If two big symbols appear, do not guess whether their labels add or multiply. Save the Help wording and calculation panel from the deployed version, because the extracted r3 paragraph confirms collection without spelling out every multi-symbol combination.
During Free Spins, the ledger should include spin number, field before the win, big-symbol dimensions, displayed factor, winning way, counter after destruction, subsequent collapse award and remaining spins. If additional Scatters retrigger, record the spin counter before and after the award.
Finally, preserve the round identifier, total stake, currency and version. This evidence can verify how one result was calculated, but it cannot establish the frequency of large symbols, feature triggers or the 50,000x ceiling. RTP and hit rate remain long-run model statistics rather than conclusions from a few observed rounds.
One final control is the first-reel restriction. Since Wild appears only on reels two through six, a valid winning way must begin with an ordinary matching symbol on reel one. Include that first position in every recorded connection. Otherwise a visually impressive set of later Wilds could be mistaken for a payable way that never had a valid starting symbol.
This first-position check belongs in every audit note for the game.
Legend of Perseus may suit readers who enjoy a spatial mechanic where one large object occupies several cells but counts as one symbol. The key decision aid is whether the player is comfortable tracking a collected multiplier across rapid collapses.
It may be less suitable for someone drawn primarily to the 50,000x headline or frustrated by variable feature timing. A visible big symbol is not automatically a win. Set limits before play and review the responsible gambling guide.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
