Jack the Giant Hunter is PG Soft catalogue ID 1834850, code jack-giant-hunt. Its English information document is version 1.0 r4, updated 8 July 2025. The five-reel game starts with four rows and 1,024 ways, then grows reels independently to a maximum of 32,768 ways.

The PDF reference build states 96.80% RTP, high volatility and a 10,000× maximum win. Current catalogue data returned 96.75%. Because the supplier records do not match, the active game’s own Help screen must be checked before either value is attributed to a session.

Wild substitutes for regular symbols but not Scatter and appears only on reels two, three and four. PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows support.

Framed winning symbols create the next state

One or more regular symbols can appear inside frames. At the start of a new cascade round, a framed symbol involved in the previous win transforms into either a Sprouting Seed or Golden Egg.

The condition matters: being framed is not enough; the symbol must participate in a win. A frame left outside the qualifying combination should not be counted as an earned transformation.

The new object is resolved before replacement symbols cascade into view. For a settlement review, keep the winning board, highlighted framed participants, transformation and following board in one continuous record.

Sprouting Seeds expand individual reels

Each Sprouting Seed adds one symbol position to its reel. This raises the number of ways because reel heights can grow independently. The reference starts at four rows and can reach eight on a reel.

An expanded reel does not imply every other reel has also grown. The displayed ways total depends on the product of active positions across the five reels. That is why the range can move from 1,024 to 32,768 without a single uniform row count.

Once a reel has eight symbols, further framed winners on that reel become Golden Eggs instead of Seeds. The growth mechanic therefore has a defined endpoint and then channels future transformations into multiplier progression.

Golden Eggs increase the total multiplier

Each Golden Egg raises the total multiplier by one in the main game. At the end of the paid spin, the whole spin win is multiplied by the current total.

The multiplier belongs to the active cascade sequence. The document does not state that it persists to the next paid spin. A new stake should be treated as a fresh state unless the loaded rules explicitly say otherwise.

If several Eggs form during one cascade, record the multiplier before and after each transformation. The final settlement should reflect the displayed total subject to the 10,000× ceiling.

Free Spins begin from a larger board

Four Scatters appearing anywhere trigger 12 Free Spins. Every additional Scatter awards two more, and the feature can retrigger.

Each free spin starts with every reel already at six symbols, rather than the four-row paid-game starting layout. The total multiplier begins at 2×.

Golden Eggs are stronger during Free Spins: each increases the total multiplier by two. Seeds can still expand reels towards eight positions, after which eligible framed winners on those full-height reels convert to Eggs.

This makes the feature mechanically different from the base game, not simply a set of free paid spins. A correct review must track the six-row opening state, 2× initial multiplier and +2 Egg increments.

RTP split and hit-rate context

The PDF allocates its 96.80% return as 68.01% main game and 28.79% Free Spins. It gives a simulated overall hit rate of 22.22%, split into 21.74% main-game and 0.48% feature contributions.

These figures describe the supplier’s long-run reference model. They do not predict the next spin, describe a player’s chance of profit or prove that an operator deploys the same mathematical package.

The current catalogue’s 96.75% conflicts with the PDF. A lower or higher RTP affects long-run expected return but does not provide a reliable short-session forecast. The useful action is to record the loaded configuration, not debate which public number should be universal.

How to handle the RTP conflict

Open Help after the game launches and find the return value associated with that version. A displayed 96.80% aligns with PDF version 1.0 r4; 96.75% aligns with the audited catalogue record. If the operator provides neither, label the profile unavailable.

Do not average the two values, round both to 97% or imply the difference comes from currency. Mathematical profiles and operator deployments can change independently of the visual theme.

A reliable capture contains the title, supplier, RTP, currency and time. This lets the configuration be rechecked when the catalogue or operator changes.

Feature Buy and maximum settlement

The PDF documents a Feature Buy menu that purchases the Free Spins Feature at the price shown. It gives no universal cash price or multiplier cost in the information sheet.

The control may be removed in some deployments. If available, its confirmation screen should identify the cost and current stake. Direct purchase does not erase high volatility or raise the maximum win.

The documented ceiling is 10,000× the bet. When cumulative main-game or feature winnings reach it, the round ends. It includes multiplier-enhanced results and should not be added as a separate award.

Mobile readability and history

The supplier reference is portrait 1080×2340. As reels grow, check that their different heights, framed symbols, total multiplier, remaining Free Spins, balance and stake remain readable.

Wild appears only on the three middle reels, a detail that can be missed on a narrow display. Paytable and Rules should remain accessible without accidental stake changes.

Turbo shortens animation but does not change which framed symbols qualify. For an audit, disable it and record the complete transformation. The History screen and round ID are more authoritative than the order remembered after a rapid cascade.

Who may prefer this game

Jack the Giant Hunter suits readers who like progression visible in the board geometry. Successful framed symbols either create more symbol positions or build the multiplier, so each cascade has a clear state change.

It is a poor fit for someone seeking low volatility or a fixed grid. The maximum of 32,768 ways is conditional on reel growth and is not active at the start of every spin.

The major due-diligence issue is the RTP mismatch. Confirming the loaded value is more important than comparing promotional maximums.

Handling a disconnected cascade

If play disconnects after a framed win but before the Seed or Egg animation completes, preserve the timestamp and avoid assuming the visible intermediate board is the final result. Reopen the same title, check whether the round resumes, then compare game history with the account ledger.

Server settlement can complete even when a phone does not display every transformation. A support request should include the round ID, stake, balance before and after, and the Help-screen RTP. Those details distinguish a display interruption from a configuration question and allow the operator to trace the recorded outcome.

Session checklist

  1. Match ID 1834850 and code jack-giant-hunt.
  2. Record the RTP from the loaded Help screen.
  3. Confirm a framed symbol joined the preceding win before transformation.
  4. Track each reel height independently.
  5. Apply +1 Eggs in paid play and +2 during Free Spins.
  6. Record the 2× Free Spins starting multiplier and any retrigger.
  7. Save round history for a settlement query.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
