PG Soft identifies Funky Fortunez with catalogue ID 2035783 and code funky-fortunez. The current English document is version 1.0.r4, updated 13 April 2026. Its central mechanism is not a conventional line table: matching groups on a 4×4 collapsing board activate positions, and a second activation turns a position into a cash-valued Prize symbol.

The documented model reports 96.74% RTP, medium volatility and a 2,000× maximum win. These figures describe the primary-source reference configuration. They do not prove that a New Zealand account can launch the title or that one operator supplies the same percentage and controls.

The official API repeats 96.74% as maximum RTP and 2,000× as headline return multiplier. That consistency is useful for identification, though the live game’s rules page remains the correct place to verify an operator’s active setting.

Cluster wins on the 4×4 board

A winning combination needs at least three matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact alone does not qualify. After payment, every winning symbol and matching connected non-winning symbol explodes; new symbols fall into the gaps and the board is assessed again.

Because the board collapses, a single paid spin may contain several rounds. History should preserve them under one parent wager. Adding each animation as if it were an independent spin would overstate turnover and distort the result.

The visual paytable contains cash values at the selected stake. Rather than transplanting one table into NZD, open the deployed help and confirm the complete bet first. PG Soft’s euro defaults describe its reference build, not a promise that € or the same limits appear locally.

From marked cell to Prize symbol

Every position occupied by a winning symbol becomes activated. Its first activation is shown as a mark. If a later winning symbol activates that same position for a second time, the cell transforms into a Prize symbol.

When the cascade chain finishes, ordinary Prize symbols award between 0.2× and 8× the bet. The value belongs to the Prize object and is settled after no more winning combination remains. The mark itself has no immediate cash value.

This is a position memory mechanic. A symbol can fall away while the board retains the marked location, and a later symbol can complete the second activation. An evidence screenshot should therefore frame the full 4×4 grid, not only the current winning group.

Gold and Platinum upgrades

Before a Prize pays, it may upgrade. A Gold Prize carries a documented range from 10× to 50× the bet, while a Platinum Prize ranges from 100× to 500×. The upgrade is chance-based; two activations create a Prize but do not guarantee Gold or Platinum status.

The 500× figure is the highest single Platinum value, not the game’s total maximum. A cascade or feature can combine multiple awards until the overall 2,000× ceiling is reached. Marketing that highlights 500× should therefore not be confused with the formal maximum-win clause.

At settlement, record the cell, initial Prize value, any upgrade state and final credit. This separates a visible colour change from the amount actually posted to history.

Free Spins persistence

Three Scatters anywhere trigger 10 Free Spins. Every additional Scatter adds two more, and Free Spins can retrigger. Marked cells and Prize symbols persist on the reels until the feature ends, allowing earlier progress to affect later spins.

At the end of each winning free spin, each visible Prize pays and may receive the random upgrade check. Gold and Platinum symbols revert to ordinary Prize symbols for the next free spin. The position remains part of the persistent state even though the premium colour does not carry forward.

This timing is important. A premium upgrade applies to that settlement; it is not a permanent 100×–500× symbol for all remaining spins. To audit a feature, capture the board just before payment and again after the next spin begins.

RTP and hit-rate interpretation

The overall RTP is a long-run simulation result, not a session forecast. PG Soft assigns 50.10 percentage points to the main game and 46.64 to Free Spins. The two components explain the reference model; they do not establish how one deposit will be returned.

The overall hit rate is 36.90%, divided into 35.92% main game and 0.98% Free Spins. A hit can be small, and a frequent visible collapse does not guarantee that Prize upgrades occur frequently. The medium volatility label should be treated as PG Soft’s own session scale rather than a cross-provider measurement.

Supplier celebration categories such as Big Win and Mega Win are interface events. Their published simulation frequencies should not be turned into a probability of reaching a Platinum Prize or the 2,000× cap.

Maximum-win treatment

The maximum total is 2,000× the bet. If the main game or Free Spins reaches that amount, the spin ends. This cap applies to the accumulated result, even when more cells appear capable of paying.

The formal rule reconciles the 500× Platinum ceiling with the larger game maximum: a single Prize can reach 500×, while multiple settled elements may contribute to the total. Neither number describes a likely outcome.

Mobile test plan

The supplier lists mobile and desktop platforms, with 1080×2340 portrait presentation as the optimal reference. On a phone, the 16 positions must remain individually readable, first-stage marks need contrast beyond colour alone, and Gold and Platinum labels should not obscure their values.

Increase system text size and open rules from the game. Verify that the total bet, balance, remaining Free Spins and Prize values remain visible. If a gesture area covers the bottom row, record the device and orientation rather than assuming a general game fault.

During a feature, background the browser and return. Persistent marks, Prize positions and remaining spins should match server history. The final summary and wallet change should equal the accumulated base awards plus every settled Prize.

A 16-cell audit sheet

Label positions A1 through D4. For each cascade, write 1 at a newly marked cell and P after its second activation. Add G or Pt only when the interface displays an upgrade, then note the awarded multiplier beside it.

Start a new row for each Free Spin but carry the board state forward. When a premium Prize resets to ordinary status, preserve the previous award in the log. This creates a reproducible feature timeline without claiming any strategy.

What the sources cannot prove

The provider catalogue does not verify NZ access, inclusion at 22Bet, NZD wagering, bonus contribution or a local public demo. It also cannot show that a particular operator has kept version 1.0.r4 or the maximum-RTP profile.

Use the catalogue for identity and the versioned PDF for reference mechanics. Use authenticated in-game help for the deployment. Where those layers disagree, publish each dated value and avoid silently choosing the more attractive number.

Distinguishing a mark from a payout

The interface can produce three visually exciting events that have different accounting effects. A first activation marks a cell but adds no separate Prize award. A second activation creates a Prize, whose value is settled only after the collapse chain stops. An upgrade then changes that Prize’s range for the current settlement.

When history compresses the animation into one entry, compare the grid state with the final component list. Count only values explicitly credited. A glowing outline, colour sweep or record graphic may indicate progress rather than money. This distinction is especially useful during Free Spins, where a persistent Prize can pay repeatedly while a Gold or Platinum appearance reverts before the next spin.

Support evidence should include the parent round ID, total stake, screenshot of the 16-cell board and the feature summary. With those four items an operator can identify whether a disputed amount concerns cluster pay, a Prize settlement or an upgrade.

Final assessment

Funky Fortunez turns grid positions into the core state: one winning activation marks a location, the second creates a Prize, and Free Spins preserve that progress. Gold and Platinum upgrades change individual settlements but reset after payment.

The evidence is precise for the reference build and sufficiently detailed to audit one round. Territory, active RTP, currency and operator controls remain unconfirmed until the live account is inspected. Match ID 2035783 or code funky-fortunez to avoid mixing the rules with a similarly themed release.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
