Fortune Ox rules and forced-win respin feature

A source-led guide to the 3–4–3 reel shape, shared outer reels, random respins and the exact full-reel condition for Fortune Ox’s 10× multiplier.

Fortune Ox is PG Soft catalogue ID 98. The checked English rules document is version 1.0 r923, updated 8 July 2025. It is a compact ten-line game with three reels: the outer reels have three rows each and the middle reel has four.

The source states 96.75% RTP, medium volatility and a 2,000× maximum. Its defining event is a randomly triggered feature that links reels one and three and continues respinning until a win occurs. Nothing in that supplier document confirms New Zealand operator availability.

The return model allocates 72.58 percentage points to the main game and 24.17 to the Fortune Ox Feature. Their hit rates are 20.55% and 0.77%. These values describe the tested model and should not be turned into a personal feature countdown.

Understand the 3–4–3 board

Reels one and three each show three positions. Reel two shows four, creating an asymmetric diamond-like field. Ten fixed bet lines cross those positions. A paying line must run in succession from the leftmost reel to the right.

Only the highest win on a bet line is paid. Before checking a disputed result, identify the active line path, confirm the symbol starts on reel one and follow it through the centre to reel three. Symbols that sit close together but do not occupy the same documented path do not form an extra line.

Wild substitutes for every paying symbol. The rules do not list a separate Scatter trigger, so a Wild participates according to the line and full-reel rules rather than initiating a collected-symbol bonus.

The Fortune Ox event is random

The Fortune Ox Feature may start randomly while the reels are spinning. It is not earned by landing a stated number of special symbols. During the event, reels one and three share the same symbols, and all reels respin until there is a win.

“Until there is a win” defines the stopping condition; it does not promise a particular win size or a premium symbol. Once a qualifying line appears, the forced-respin sequence has met its documented purpose.

The linked outer reels create visual symmetry, but the taller middle reel still determines which of the ten paths can connect. When auditing the result, preserve the feature label, both outer reels and the centre reel. A crop containing only the mirrored sides cannot prove a line award.

What shared outer reels mean

Reels one and three display the same symbols during the feature. This does not mean every visible symbol automatically forms a win. The shared symbols must still connect through a compatible position on reel two along an active line.

If the first respin does not produce a win, the game continues. The feature does not add a progressive multiplier for every miss, and the rules do not say that non-winning attempts accumulate value. Treat each intermediate board as part of one continuing feature event.

After the first winning configuration is evaluated, normal play resumes. Do not assume that the next paid spin retains mirrored outer reels merely because the final feature board remains visible for a moment.

The 10× full-reel condition

When one symbol, with Wild substitution allowed, occupies all reel positions, the win is multiplied by 10. Because the layout contains ten visible positions, this is a full-board condition rather than a single line made of three matching symbols.

The multiplier applies to the qualifying full-reel win. It should not be attached to every ordinary result during the Fortune Ox Feature. The two mechanics can coincide, but neither one automatically proves the other.

For evidence, save the entire 3–4–3 board before the celebration covers it. Count all positions, identify any Wilds and verify that one paying identity can fill the complete field. Then compare the base paytable amount and settled 10× amount.

Worked feature example

Suppose the random feature starts and reels one and three both show an identical stack. The centre reel fails to connect any active line, so the board respins. On the next attempt, a compatible centre symbol joins one of the ten paths and creates a win.

The feature then stops because its “until win” condition has been met. If the remaining cells do not all represent the same symbol, the 10× full-reel rule does not apply. The award is simply the highest qualifying line result for each active path.

In a separate round, if one symbol and substituting Wilds fill every one of the ten visible positions, the full-reel award receives the 10× multiplier. Keeping these examples separate prevents the random feature from being described as a guaranteed 10× event.

Maximum, simulation and reference stakes

The maximum is 2,000× the total bet. The supplier also records 2,000× as maximum exposure in one billion simulated spins, so the stated cap and simulation maximum coincide in this version. That agreement does not make the result common or predictable.

The reference uses bet sizes 0.02, 0.2 and 2 across ten levels, producing a default EUR range of €0.20–€200. These are supplier examples, not NZD claims and not proof of operator limits. Always read the selected currency and total stake from the live control before confirming.

Mobile and history checks

PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows. The portrait reference is 1080×2340. A phone layout must keep all ten positions and the selected payline understandable, especially when the feature animation emphasises the mirrored outer reels.

If a session disconnects during repeated respins, use game history to retrieve the round ID, original stake, trigger status, number of intermediate attempts and final settlement. Do not start another spin merely to clear the screen before saving that information.

Demo and New Zealand boundary

The supplier catalogue may offer a preview, but the sponsored links on this article are not Fortune Ox demo links. Official PG Soft documentation establishes the rules of r923, not access through a particular casino in New Zealand.

Confirm the game in an authenticated lobby and inspect the Help screen. If another RTP, stake range or revision appears, retain a dated screenshot and treat that instance as a separate configuration.

Player-fit assessment

Fortune Ox may suit someone who wants a small fixed-line board and a feature with an easily observed stopping rule. It may be a poor match for a reader seeking many bonus layers, frequent feature control or a low-volatility experience.

Set spending and time limits before play. A series of ordinary spins does not make the random event due, and several losing feature respins do not increase the value of the eventual win.

Evidence checklist

  1. Match catalogue ID 98 and version 1.0 r923.
  2. Confirm the 3–4–3 shape and ten fixed lines.
  3. Record the displayed total stake and currency.
  4. Capture the random feature label when it appears.
  5. Verify that outer reels share the same symbols.
  6. Count intermediate respins without assigning them value.
  7. Apply 10× only when one symbol fills all positions.
  8. Save the round ID and final settled award.

Three questions settle most disputes

First, did the screen identify a random Fortune Ox event, or was it an ordinary spin? Second, did a symbol follow one of the ten fixed paths through the taller centre reel? Third, did one paying identity, with Wild substitutions, occupy all ten visible positions? The first answer explains repeated respins, the second explains a normal line award and the third alone supports the 10× full-board treatment. Writing the answers beside the round ID prevents three visually similar celebrations from being collapsed into one feature description. It also gives support staff a precise issue to inspect instead of a general claim that the mirrored reels looked valuable.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
