Chocolate Deluxe is PG Soft catalogue ID 1666445, code choc-deluxe. The English rules document is version 1.0 r2, updated 8 July 2025. It uses a 6×6 collapsing grid where clusters of at least five matching symbols touch horizontally or vertically.

The PDF states 96.76% RTP, while the current catalogue displays 96.75%. Both sources describe medium volatility and a 5,000× maximum. This review preserves the 0.01-point difference rather than selecting whichever value is more attractive.

The document assigns 68.45 percentage points to the main game and 28.31 to Free Spins, with reported hit rates of 29.13% and 0.41%. These figures describe long-run model components and do not tell a reader when the next feature will occur.

Forming and resolving clusters

A win needs five or more identical symbols connected by shared edges. Diagonal contact does not merge two groups. Marking the 6×6 board with row and column coordinates makes a disputed group easier to reconstruct.

After a win, the rules say symbols not involved in a win explode and symbols above cascade into the available spaces. Additional or increased groups produce another round, continuing until no new qualifying result remains. The specific removal wording is unusual enough that the loaded Help and round history should be treated as the operational reference instead of assuming another cluster game’s behaviour.

Wild substitutes for regular symbols but not Scatter. Wild and Scatter symbols remain on the grid until the paid spin ends. Their persistence applies to that collapse sequence; it should not be described as permanent across later paid spins.

Symbol multipliers in the base game

Regular symbols can arrive with a value from 2× to 100×. Wild and Scatter do not carry these factors. At the end of the spin, multipliers attached to winning symbols are combined, and the total win is multiplied by the resulting factor.

Only factors on symbols that actually participate in a qualifying group count. A visible 100× symbol elsewhere on the grid is not automatically part of settlement. Record the winning coordinates and the values printed on those exact cells before the cascade removes or changes them.

The PDF uses the language “combined multiplier”. When auditing a real result, use the total displayed by the client and history rather than inventing arithmetic from an animation. The source confirms that participating values add into a combined factor; it does not justify counting decorative values or unrelated symbols.

Coordinate one collapse at a time

Number rows from top to bottom and columns from left to right. On the initial 6×6 board, outline each qualifying group and write its member cells, such as R2C3–R4C4, instead of describing it as “the large pink cluster”. Beside the group, list only the attached values printed on its winning symbols. After settlement, start a new diagram for the next collapse because the symbols entering from above create a different board.

This method is especially important when two same-coloured groups are separated diagonally. They may look like one shape, but without a horizontal or vertical bridge they are evaluated separately and may fail the five-symbol threshold. Wild can complete a group, while Scatter cannot be replaced by Wild. Preserve sticky Wild and Scatter positions in a separate layer so they are not mistaken for newly dropped cells.

At the end of the paid spin, compare the sum of all cash wins before the factor with the multiplier-adjusted total shown in history. If the history supplies only the final amount, record that limitation rather than reverse-engineering an undocumented intermediate value. A precise but incomplete record is better evidence than a confident calculation based on a screenshot taken after the grid has already changed.

Keep the currency and stake in the same note. A factor is dimensionless, but the credited amount depends on the wager attached to that round. This prevents a replay from being compared against a later spin made at another level.

Free Spins and persistent factor bank

Three Scatters anywhere trigger ten Free Spins. Each additional Scatter adds two spins, and retriggers are documented. During the feature, multipliers collected from qualifying winning symbols accumulate at the bottom of the reels and remain until Free Spins finish.

For each feature spin, the rules apply both the stored bottom value and the combined values on winning symbols in that spin. The safest audit method is a two-part ledger: record the factor bank before the spin, then list new contributing cells and the post-spin bank. Preserve the displayed calculation because the client presentation resolves any ambiguity about how the two components are combined.

This persistence makes later spins mathematically different from early ones, but it does not guarantee a profit. A feature can finish before the maximum multiplier or win cap appears.

Feature Buy and source limits

Version 1.0 r2 includes a Feature Buy menu for Free Spins. The price is shown by the game at the time of purchase; the PDF does not establish one universal cost for every currency or operator. Capture the offer panel before confirmation and check whether the loaded terms permit the feature in the relevant territory.

The 5,000× ceiling applies to both the paid game and Free Spins. Settlement ends when the cap is reached. That limit should never be presented as a likely prize or as evidence of short-session returns.

Handling the RTP conflict

The version 1.0 r2 PDF states 96.76%, including a 68.45/28.31 allocation. The live catalogue record checked on 8 October 2026 states 96.75%. The difference may reflect catalogue rounding, a changed profile or separate configurations; the available sources do not identify the reason.

Do not average the values or silently overwrite the PDF. A reliable session record includes the Help-screen RTP, game ID, date, stake currency and version if displayed. If the client reports another value, document it as an additional configuration.

Mobile and history review

PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows, with a 1080×2340 portrait reference. On mobile, all six columns, factor labels, stored feature bank and remaining-spin counter should be legible. Check that a 100× label is not hidden behind a gesture bar or compressed into a neighbouring cell.

If connectivity fails during cascades, wait for the account to reconnect and open history. Compare the original board, each recorded collapse, accumulated multiplier and final credit. Do not infer settlement from the last animation frame.

Demo and New Zealand scope

The PG Soft catalogue may expose a supplier-controlled preview, but the sponsored links here are not presented as a Chocolate Deluxe demo. Preview access says nothing about deposits, KYC, withdrawals or NZD support.

The title’s global catalogue listing also does not establish availability in New Zealand or at 22Bet. An authenticated lobby and applicable territorial terms are separate evidence.

Suitability and limitations

Chocolate Deluxe may suit readers who enjoy mapping connected groups and watching a feature-wide value accumulate. The 6×6 grid provides a clear coordinate system for evidence.

It may be less comfortable for someone who wants fixed lines, low volatility or a simple single-stage settlement. Several cascades, sticky special symbols and two multiplier layers can make a replay dense.

Evidence checklist

  1. Match ID 1666445 and code choc-deluxe.
  2. Record whether Help shows 96.76%, 96.75% or another value.
  3. Map each five-plus cluster by coordinates.
  4. Include only multipliers on winning symbols.
  5. Separate the stored feature bank from new spin values.
  6. Save the round ID, Feature Buy price and settled balance when relevant.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
