Butterfly Blossom is PG Soft catalogue ID 125. The English game-information document used here identifies version 1.0.r5, updated 8 July 2025. It describes a five-reel, three-row collapsing slot with 20 fixed lines, a cascade multiplier that rises through defined stages and Wild symbols that can survive a win long enough to transform twice.

The source reports 96.74% RTP, medium volatility and a 32.15% overall hit rate. PG Soft advertises a 50,000x maximum, while the highest exposure found in its one-billion-spin simulation was 7,125x. Those numbers answer different questions and should remain separately labelled.

The 20-line structure is important. A winning line starts on the first reel and follows the paytable’s marked route across consecutive reels. This is not a ways game, so matching symbols scattered across adjacent reels do not automatically form a win unless they occupy a valid line. The collapsing mechanism begins only after the initial line evaluation.

One paid spin can contain several rounds

When a winning line forms, the contributing symbols are removed, remaining symbols drop, and replacements enter the grid. The refreshed layout is evaluated again without another stake being deducted. That cycle continues while a new win appears. PG Soft calls these rounds part of the same spin, so the cleanest audit is to record one stake deduction and one final settled result rather than treating each collapse as an independent wager.

The ordinary cascade multiplier begins at x1. A win in the first round raises the following round to x2; another win raises the next round to x3; a further win raises the fourth and later rounds to x5. The progression is therefore x1 → x2 → x3 → x5, not an unlimited arithmetic ladder. When the paid spin ends, the next paid spin starts again from the base state.

This timing prevents a common reading error. The factor displayed above the reels belongs to the current collapse round. It does not retroactively multiply an earlier win. To verify settlement, list each round’s line win and its displayed factor, then add those multiplied round values. History should reconcile to that total.

Three stages of sticky Wild

A Caterpillar Wild can appear on reels two, three or four. Wild substitutes for ordinary paying symbols but not the Free Spin symbol. When a Caterpillar Wild participates in a win, it remains for the next round and changes into a Cocoon Wild. If that Cocoon contributes to another win, it remains again and becomes a Butterfly Wild.

The Butterfly stage has a different job. If a Butterfly Wild takes part in a win, it adds +5 to the rightmost multiplier and then disappears in the following round. The wording links persistence to participation in a winning combination: merely seeing a Caterpillar or Cocoon on the grid does not prove that it will stay. The line highlight or history detail must show that the Wild was involved.

The rightmost multiplier is also specific. It is not a blanket five-step increase to every factor visible in the interface. A recording should capture the factor before the Butterfly-assisted win, the highlighted line and the factor after the update. That sequence distinguishes the feature from a normal x1-to-x2 cascade increase.

Free Spins Feature

Three Free Spin symbols appearing anywhere award eight free spins. Every additional triggering symbol adds two more. Two Free Spin symbols landing during the feature award three extra spins, and the document states that free spins can retrigger.

The bonus changes the multiplier scale. Its displayed cascade multipliers begin at x3 and progress through x6, x9 and x15. That replaces the main game’s x1, x2, x3 and x5 sequence for the feature. Wild transformation still matters, so a Butterfly Wild can add +5 to the rightmost bonus multiplier when it participates in a winning collapse.

The trigger and retrigger rules are not interchangeable. In the base game, three symbols start the feature and further symbols add two spins each. During free spins, two symbols add three spins. When checking an unexpected counter, first identify whether the symbols landed on the triggering paid spin or inside the active feature.

The checked PDF does not publish a probability for each possible starting count or for each number of retriggers. It supplies a model hit rate for the feature as a whole. Therefore, statements such as “a bonus normally arrives within a fixed number of spins” would go beyond the evidence.

RTP components and hit rates

PG Soft divides the 96.74% theoretical return into 68.72% main-game RTP and 28.02% Free Spins Feature RTP. These values describe the contribution of each state across the mathematical model. They are not separate player balances and do not mean that a short session will return either percentage.

The supplier’s overall hit rate is 32.15%. It allocates 31.65% to the main game and 0.51% to the Free Spins Feature. A hit can be smaller than the original stake, so hit rate should never be presented as a profit rate. The feature percentage is likewise a model frequency, not a schedule.

The document also provides label frequencies: Big Win at 1 in 298, Mega Win at 1 in 1,032 and Super Mega Win at 1 in 1,250. PG Soft defines those presentation bands as x20–x35, x35–x50 and x50 or above. They describe animation labels, not the chance of reaching 7,125x or 50,000x.

Why the two maximum figures differ

The 50,000x advertised maximum is a theoretical boundary of the documented game model. The 7,125x simulated exposure is the largest result seen in one billion simulated spins. A finite simulation can remain well below a theoretical limit when the arrangement needed to approach that limit is extremely rare.

Neither figure predicts an individual outcome. At a reference stake of €0.20, simple multiplication would convert 7,125x to €1,425 and 50,000x to €10,000. Those examples explain the units only. They are not offers, NZD values or confirmed operator payout limits.

The correct comparison keeps the labels attached. Calling 7,125x “the maximum” discards the official theoretical cap. Publishing only 50,000x hides useful simulation evidence. A review can state both without implying that either is likely.

A worked cascade audit

Suppose a paid spin produces four winning rounds. The first line win is 1.5x at the initial x1 factor. The second is 2x at x2, the third is 0.8x at x3 and the fourth is 1x at x5. The expected accumulated value is 1.5 + 4 + 2.4 + 5 = 12.9x before any other documented adjustment.

Now suppose a Butterfly Wild participates in the third round and the rightmost factor increases by five for the next round. The reviewer should not simply assume the fourth factor. The visible display and history are needed because the feature modifies the rightmost multiplier state. Record the pre-update and post-update values, then calculate from the state actually shown.

The wrong approach is to multiply all stage factors together. x1 × x2 × x3 × x5 would produce x30 and bears no relation to the settlement rule. Each round win is multiplied by its current stage, and the resulting round totals are added.

Stake controls and reference currency

The document lists bet sizes 0.01, 0.1 and 0.5, bet levels one through ten, and default EUR endpoints of €0.20 and €100. Those are PG Soft reference settings. An operator may use another currency, suppress some levels or apply account and jurisdiction controls.

Read the final total-bet field rather than multiplying selector components from memory. Save the currency sign with the amount. A live NZD display is evidence of that deployment; converting the EUR reference values at an exchange rate is not.

Auto Spin documentation includes optional stop conditions for balance decrease, balance increase and a single-win threshold. Turbo Spin changes presentation speed, not the stated paytable, RTP or probability model. Check whether either control is actually enabled in the loaded client before describing it as available.

Mobile layout and evidence capture

PG Soft lists iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows. The reference display is 1080 by 2340 in a 19.5:9 portrait ratio. That supports studio-level technical compatibility but does not prove that a specific operator enables the title for a New Zealand account.

On a narrow phone, the most important elements are the 20-line paytable, current cascade multiplier and Wild stage. Caterpillar, Cocoon and Butterfly artwork should remain distinguishable. If an animation covers the multiplier update, use game history rather than reconstructing the result from a screenshot taken mid-transition.

A useful evidence set includes the title and version screen, RTP, chosen total stake, the grid before each collapse, the Wild transformation and final history entry. Include the timestamp and currency. Five clear captures are more valuable than a long video with no visible stake or version.

Demo, operator and New Zealand limits

This page does not host a Butterfly Blossom demo. Both commercial links are identified sponsored routes, not proof that the game is present at the destination.

The official PG Soft catalogue and r5 document establish the title and its supplier rules. They do not confirm access in New Zealand, availability at 22Bet, support for NZD or eligibility of a particular account. Those questions require a current authenticated operator lobby and applicable terms.

A studio preview can help confirm mechanics, but public access to a preview should not be turned into a claim of local real-money access. If the title is absent from an account, that absence may reflect geography, product configuration, account state or a temporary catalogue change.

Who may appreciate this structure

Butterfly Blossom may suit readers who enjoy watching a result develop through several auditable states. The persistent Wild has a visible lifecycle, and the multiplier ladder is finite enough to follow round by round. The bonus alters that ladder without replacing the core Wild logic.

It may be less appealing to someone who wants a fixed single-settlement spin, a ways layout or a published probability for each Wild transformation. The garden theme does not change the mathematical uncertainty. Set time and money limits before play and avoid chasing a desired Wild stage; the responsible gambling guide lists practical controls and support routes.

Version-check checklist

Confirm catalogue ID 125, version 1.0.r5, 96.74% RTP, medium volatility, five reels, three rows, 20 lines, collapsing rounds, the x1/x2/x3/x5 base ladder, Caterpillar-to-Cocoon-to-Butterfly progression, +5 Butterfly effect, three-symbol bonus trigger, eight starting spins, the special retrigger rule and the loaded currency.

FAQ

What RTP does Butterfly Blossom r5 state?

The official document states 96.74%. The loaded game’s own Help panel remains the final configuration check.

How does the sticky Wild transform?

A winning Caterpillar becomes a Cocoon, a winning Cocoon becomes a Butterfly, and a winning Butterfly adds +5 to the rightmost multiplier before disappearing in the next round.

How many free spins are awarded?

Three trigger symbols award eight spins and each extra triggering symbol adds two. Inside the feature, two Free Spin symbols add three spins.

Is the maximum 50,000x or 7,125x?

50,000x is the advertised theoretical ceiling; 7,125x is the highest exposure in PG Soft’s one-billion-spin simulation.

Is Butterfly Blossom confirmed in New Zealand?

No. Supplier documentation verifies the game, not operator-level territorial access.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify PG Soft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
