Xmas Burst: cascade explosions, multiplier ladders and Free Games
Xmas Burst turns every winning line into a new board state. This guide separates the cascade loop, Wild explosion and two multiplier ladders so a complete round can be reconstructed.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Xmas Burst is an Endorphina cascading slot with five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines. The official page publishes 96.01% RTP, medium-high volatility, a €0.20–€120 reference range and Approved status. Its feature list includes Wild, Risk, Bonus Pop, Free Games, Scatter and Multiplier.
The game’s evidence challenge is sequence rather than trigger complexity. A winning payline makes its contributing symbols burst; remaining symbols fall and new symbols enter. One paid spin can therefore contain several evaluated grids. Only the final settled credit belongs in the balance calculation, while every intermediate grid explains how that credit formed.

The figures are not an NZ operator listing. A deployed game may use another currency, stake ladder, RTP configuration or optional-mode policy. Use the exact title, product ID and live help as the configuration record.
How the cascade loop works
After the initial stop, the game evaluates the 20 lines. Symbols involved in a winning combination explode, gaps are filled from above and a new evaluation follows without another paid debit. The loop continues while the replacement grid produces another win.
Assign each stage a number: initial grid G0, first replacement G1, second replacement G2 and so on. For each stage, note the winning line, symbol, count, displayed multiplier and stage credit. That simple naming system prevents two frequent mistakes: treating replacement grids as paid spins and counting the accumulated display once per cascade.
The last non-winning grid ends the sequence. Transaction history should show one parent round with one debit and one final credit. If it instead shows child events, keep their IDs nested beneath the parent rather than adding all subtotals to a total that already includes them.
Base-game multiplier ladder
The public rules list base-game multipliers of ×1, ×2, ×3, ×4 and ×5. Within a cascade sequence, the active value can increase. The maximum achieved remains in force for later wins in that same cascade, according to Endorphina’s description.
“Same cascade” is the key boundary. Do not carry ×5 into the next paid spin simply because the meter remains visible during a transition. Record the multiplier beside every grid and reset the ledger when the next debit appears.
If the game displays several multiplier icons at once, use the active value printed in the result rather than inferring an arithmetic operation from their positions. The help screen should explain whether a newly revealed value replaces, raises or combines with the current one.
Wild explosion
The Xmas Wild substitutes for ordinary symbols except Scatter. It has a second behaviour: when it is not part of a winning combination, the Wild explodes and removes all adjacent symbols. The resulting gaps contribute to another grid state.
This unusual condition means a non-paying Wild can still change the round. Capture the full grid before the blast. Mark the Wild cell and its neighbouring cells, then save the board after replacements arrive. The Wild should not be credited as a line substitute when its role was only to clear adjacent positions.
If more than one isolated Wild appears, do not assume simultaneous or sequential resolution. Note the order shown in the live build and reconcile the final state. Animation order can affect documentation even when it does not alter the mathematical outcome.
Free Games trigger and retrigger
Three Scatters award 10 Free Games and four Scatters award 20, according to the supplier page. During Free Games, two Scatters add 10 more spins. The lower retrigger threshold applies inside the feature and should not be imported into the paid base game.
Create a counter ledger with starting spins, spins played, retrigger additions and spins remaining. If two Scatters appear, capture the counter before and after the addition. This distinguishes “10 extra” from “counter becomes 10”, which are not the same statement.
Free Games use a larger multiplier set: ×3, ×5, ×7, ×9 and ×15. Keep it separate from the base ladder. A ×15 feature-stage result does not show that the paid game offers ×15. Likewise, the active feature multiplier resets when the feature settlement closes unless the help explicitly documents another behaviour.
Paytable anchors
The official product page identifies five gift bags at 125× base bet and five bells at 50× base bet. These values are useful audit anchors because they can be compared with the loaded paytable. They are not a complete paytable and do not replace checking every symbol count.
Confirm whether the multiplier is stated per line, per line bet, base bet or total bet. With 20 fixed lines, a visual stake selector can obscure the denomination behind the total round cost. Save the relevant help labels before calculating a currency award.
Scatter awards, line wins and cascade multipliers may be presented in different parts of the help. Preserve those sections individually, then build one formula from the loaded version. Do not combine text from an older screenshot with a current result.
Bonus Pop and jurisdiction
Bonus Pop appears in Endorphina’s feature list, with a warning that availability can depend on the casino and jurisdiction. Its presence on the supplier page does not guarantee a purchase button in New Zealand.
Where the control is visible, record the quoted cost in both stake multiples and currency, the feature state it buys, any changed RTP notice and the confirmation wording. A paid shortcut does not guarantee a return. If no control appears, report it as unavailable in the checked build rather than inventing a fault.
Keep promotional free spins separate from the in-game Free Games feature. A casino promotion may define spin value, excluded games and wagering rules outside the game engine; Xmas Burst’s Scatter feature follows the game help.
Risk after settlement
Risk is listed as a tool, but its exact rules need the live help. It generally follows an eligible win and creates a separate decision. Save the original amount before entering it. Each accepted step should show the amount at risk and the possible result.
Do not merge a Risk outcome with cascade multipliers. The cascade has already formed a win. Risk changes the treatment of that win after the underlying round, and an operator may disable the control under its own policy.
RTP and volatility
The provider’s 96.01% RTP is a theoretical long-run reference. It does not estimate how many cascades a spin will contain, how soon Scatters will land or whether an isolated Wild will help. Medium-high volatility is a broad distribution label rather than a frequency guarantee.
When the loaded help shows a different percentage, retain both source scopes. The supplier page supports 96.01% as checked on 8 October 2026; the live help supports its own deployment. If the live figure is hidden, write “not confirmed” instead of borrowing the supplier value as though it were operator evidence.
A responsible session limit should be set before the first debit. A cascade can make one spin last longer, but it does not change the price already deducted. Avoid increasing stakes because several sequences ended quickly.
Mobile review
On a narrow screen, the active multiplier, spin counter and running win can compete for space. Test portrait and landscape views. The full grid should remain visible, the stake selector should not sit beneath a browser gesture area and the help close button should stay reachable at larger text settings.
Briefly background the browser during a cascade and reopen it. The game should restore the same round or provide a history record. If the animation replays, count the settlement once. Save the round ID before retrying any support request.
Demo mode can help locate rules where allowed, but it cannot prove real-money availability, account currency or equality with an operator build. Label demo observations as interface observations.
Reconstructing a disputed round
Begin with opening balance, total debit, round ID and G0. Save each replacement grid, active multiplier and stage award. Mark isolated-Wild blasts separately from line-driven explosions. If Free Games begin, start a nested spin-counter table without losing the parent trigger round.
At the end, use the transaction-history credit as the settled amount. Sum stage values only as a cross-check. If the arithmetic differs, preserve the discrepancy and contact support with the unedited screenshots, timestamp and game version.
Redact personal identifiers before sharing evidence publicly. Never send a password, one-time code or recovery phrase in a forum or review comment.
Mistakes that change the meaning
- Calling every new grid a new paid spin.
- Carrying a multiplier into the next round.
- Using the Free Games retrigger threshold in the base game.
- Treating a non-paying Wild blast as a line substitution.
- Presenting €0.20–€120 as an NZD cashier range.
- Calling Bonus Pop universally available.
- Turning 96.01% into a short-session expectation.
These are not small wording issues: each one changes how a reader understands cost, feature entry or settlement.
Who may prefer Xmas Burst
The game may suit someone who likes chain reactions, a clearly bounded 20-line layout and Free Games with a visibly different multiplier ladder. It asks the reader to follow changing board states rather than a static paytable alone.
It may not suit someone who dislikes medium-high volatility, rapidly changing screens or optional purchase controls. The right comparison is not whether the effects look generous, but whether the current help is readable and the minimum debit fits a predetermined budget.
Final assessment
Xmas Burst’s core is a state machine: line win, explosion, replacement, multiplier update and reevaluation. Its Wild adds a second removal mechanism, while Free Games change both the trigger threshold for extra spins and the available multipliers. Documenting those layers separately makes the final credit understandable.
The supplier page gives a strong starting record. Operator availability, live RTP, currency, Bonus Pop status and stake steps remain deployment questions. Verify them rather than extending the public catalogue beyond what it proves.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
