Sushi by Endorphina: stacked Wild Free Games and RTP
A mechanics-first guide to the VIP Card trigger and a symbol that becomes Wild only during the feature.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Sushi is a 3×3, five-line game. Endorphina publishes 96.04% RTP, medium-high volatility and a €0.05–€200 range. Three Gold Sushi VIP Cards award 20 Free Games; during them, stacked Wasabi Shoga becomes Wild and rounds can retrigger.

Five-line base state
Only the five fixed paths settle ordinary wins. The Wasabi Shoga is not Wild here, so record it as a regular symbol unless live help states otherwise.
This state distinction is essential: applying feature substitution to base spins would create false wins.
VIP Card trigger
Three Scatters trigger 20 rounds and pay 10x base bet. Preserve the grid, direct payment and opening counter separately.
Feature-only stacked Wild
During Free Games, Wasabi Shoga becomes a stacked Wild substituting for all symbols except Scatter. Record every occupied cell and the lines using it. A stack may support several routes but does not pay independently.
Do not carry the Wild state back into paid spins. When the counter reaches zero, the symbol returns to its base-game role.
Retrigger accounting
Start with twenty, subtract completed rounds and add only confirmed retrigger awards. Save counters before and after additional VIP Cards.
Separate new rounds from money. The feature total should contain settled line credits and any disclosed Scatter payment once.
RTP and volatility
The 96.04% RTP is a theoretical supplier reference. Medium-high volatility cannot predict VIP Cards or stacked Wilds. Record active RTP, version, operator and date.
If live help differs, report both sources. Never average mathematical configurations.
Stake and base-bet definition
The €0.05–€200 values are not NZD limits. Confirm the account’s currency and total debit. Read how base bet is defined before translating 10x into cash.
Set a spending limit that does not depend on reaching the feature. Current bet is used for Free Games according to the provider description.
Risk Game and Bonus Pop
Both are listed. Keep a post-win gamble outside the reel calculation. Bonus Pop may be disabled by jurisdiction; if present, save price, terms and any separate RTP.
Natural and paid feature entry require different labels.
Mobile and demo
Mobile support is stated. Verify the 3×3 grid, stack boundaries, counter, stake and balance in both orientations. Demo access explains controls but cannot confirm real-money local availability.
Worked state audit
Capture a Wasabi Shoga symbol in a paid spin and note that no Wild substitution occurs. Then capture one during Free Games, record its stack cells and trace each highlighted route.
The comparison proves the state-dependent rule more clearly than promotional animation.
Cultural care
The theme uses sushi, sashimi, ginger and wasabi imagery. This guide discusses a commercial product, not Japanese culinary instruction. Our photograph is respectful editorial artwork rather than copied game material.
Evidence pack
Save title, RTP, currency, stake, time, round IDs, trigger, counter, pre-feature and feature grids, stack coordinates, line breakdown and balances. Keep private data redacted.
The official source supports grid, lines, RTP, trigger, retrigger and special Wild. NZ access and exact live limits remain unconfirmed.
Base-to-feature transition audit
The cleanest way to verify Sushi is to preserve two consecutive states. Capture the paid trigger spin with Wasabi Shoga treated as an ordinary picture. Then capture the first Free Game after the counter appears, showing the same symbol family acting as stacked Wild. Include the legend or help panel in both records.
This transition prevents a common writing error: calling Wasabi Shoga a permanent Wild. It also helps settle disputes where a player expects substitution on the trigger spin even though the special state starts only inside Free Games.
Stack geometry
A stacked symbol can occupy two or three adjacent cells on a reel. Record top and bottom rows, not merely the reel number. Trace each of the five fixed lines through the stack and identify the regular symbol being replaced.
If several cells from one stack appear on the same payline, follow the game’s route rather than counting the graphic repeatedly. A stack changes eligible coordinates; it does not award one prize per covered cell.
Retrigger timeline
Start at twenty and label every child spin. When three or more VIP Cards appear again, preserve the grid, direct Scatter credit if shown, and counter change. The provider confirms retriggering but the current help should define the added-round quantity.
Never apply a newly added counter to spins already completed. If reconnection skips an animation, use server history to recover the exact transition and ending feature total.
Five-line calculation example
Suppose a stacked Wasabi Shoga occupies the centre reel and completes salmon symbols on two enabled routes. Copy both route numbers, salmon match length and table value. Add the resulting credits once and compare them with history.
Do not assume every row through the centre is a payline. With only five paths, the overlay provides a quick, decisive check. This is more reliable than counting all visually aligned food pictures.
Session checklist
Verify exact title, active RTP, five-line map, total stake, currency and current bet carried into Free Games. Confirm that VIP Cards are Scatter, Wasabi Shoga changes only in the feature, and stacks substitute for regular symbols but not Scatter.
Check whether Bonus Pop or Risk Game is enabled and whether either displays different mathematical information. Decide limits without assuming that twenty rounds will occur during the session.
Short answers
What starts Free Games? Three or more Gold Sushi VIP Cards.
How many begin? The official page publishes twenty.
Do they retrigger? Yes, but the live counter should prove the added amount.
Is Wasabi Shoga Wild in paid play? The provider says it becomes Wild during Free Games.
Does three Scatter pay separately? Endorphina publishes 10x base bet for three.
Is the €200 endpoint available in NZD? No such conclusion follows from the euro supplier reference.
Support-ready evidence
Provide parent and child round IDs, the base-state trigger, first feature state, stack coordinates, payline numbers, stake, active RTP and balances. Ask support to identify the exact state flag applied to Wasabi Shoga on the disputed spin.
If the question concerns retriggering, include counter screenshots immediately before and after the VIP Cards. This narrows the issue to state timing rather than the food-themed animation.
Final assessment
Paytable-reading sequence
Open the symbol table before starting and capture each sushi picture’s values for three matching positions. Because the grid has only three reels, five-of-a-kind language would not fit this exact configuration. Use the 3×3 layout as a basic consistency check whenever a third-party page describes the game.
Then open the five-line diagram and note each row path. During Free Games, overlay the Wasabi Shoga stack coordinates on those paths. This two-step method separates symbol value from substitution and prevents a single stacked graphic from being counted on lines that do not cross it.
Current-bet wording
Endorphina says Free Games are played at the current bet. Record the stake on the trigger spin and compare it with the stake label inside the feature. A player should not assume the feature permits a new wager selection after entry.
If the displayed feature stake changes unexpectedly, preserve both screens and the parent round. Ask support whether denomination, total bet or a display conversion changed; do not infer that the feature multiplied stake merely because line credits are larger.
Accessibility checks
Food symbols can be distinguished by shape as well as colour. On mobile, test whether the VIP Card, Wasabi Shoga, ginger and similar pieces remain identifiable with brightness reduced and colour filters enabled. The paytable should provide names, not rely entirely on visual memory.
Check that the feature counter and Wild state remain readable at enlarged text settings. If a tooltip covers the grid, close it before the next round and preserve the help text separately.
Responsible-use note
Twenty Free Games can extend time on screen without requiring twenty new paid debits, but the triggering round remains gambling. Do not treat feature length as evidence that a session is profitable. Compare opening and closing balances after all child rounds settle.
Stop when the planned money or time boundary is reached. A retrigger is random and does not make another retrigger more or less due.
Sushi’s crucial fact is temporal: Wasabi Shoga changes function only during Free Games. A sound review must never describe it as a permanent Wild.
Verify the deployed help, track retriggers and reconcile each stack through the five-line report.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
