Oriental Dragon: pearl counters and Moving Wild Free Games

Oriental Dragon connects each wager level to five pearl meters, a 12-spin Dragon's Breath cycle and a selectable Free Games mode. This guide records meter state, full-reel Wilds and stake changes in the order they occur.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Oriental Dragon is a five-reel, four-row Endorphina slot with 50 fixed paylines. The official page checked on 8 October 2026 lists 96.02% RTP, high volatility, a €0.50–€200 reference stake range and Approved status. Its Green Dragons feed pearl meters above the reels, while Yin-Yang Scatters start Free Games with Moving Wilds.

The main complication is persistence. Pearl counts and a spin cycle belong to the current total bet. Changing the wager changes the relevant stored state, so a screenshot without its stake cannot explain the next Dragon’s Breath event.

Fixed-line base wins

Save the 50-line map from current help. For every ordinary win, record the path number, matching symbol, consecutive reels and any full-reel Wild substitution. A visual diagonal outside the map is not a payable line.

The lion is identified as the highest ordinary symbol, with five listed at 1.6× base bet. That number is a version anchor, not a total-win ceiling. Use the complete loaded paytable for other symbols.

Keep base bet, total bet and account currency as separate fields. The broad euro range cannot be converted into an asserted NZD limit.

Green Dragons and pearl collection

Green Dragons appear in the main game and send pearls to the Golden Dragons above the reels. When one Golden Dragon collects two pearls, a Wild is activated on its corresponding reel.

Create five meter columns, one per reel. After every paid spin, record Green Dragon positions, pearls transferred and the resulting count above each reel. Do not treat a decorative pearl animation as a cash award.

Because the state is tied to stake, include total bet on every row. If the amount changes, start a new state line rather than carrying the previous counts forward.

Full-reel Wild behaviour

During Dragon’s Breath and Free Games, a Wild can cover an entire reel. It substitutes for ordinary symbols but not Scatter. Mark each covered cell and evaluate every fixed path through it.

A full-reel graphic creates substitution positions; it is not itself a multiplier. It cannot replace a missing Yin-Yang symbol or count as a Green Dragon pearl event.

Capture the grid before and after activation. That pair shows which symbol initiated the effect and which lines became valid.

Dragon’s Breath 12-spin cycle

The provider explains that after the eleventh cycle, the twelfth spin at the current total bet fills the reels with Wild. The event then removes collected pearls and resets the spin counter.

Track the counter from one through twelve without skipping wager changes. At the twelfth state, save the pre-spin meters, the full-Wild result, line awards and the post-event reset.

Do not call the twelfth event free unless current help explicitly says no stake is debited. The supplier wording refers to a spin with the current total bet.

Stake changes and stored states

The official description states that changing total bet changes the spin counter and collected pearls. This can mean separate stored progress for wager levels rather than one universal meter.

Before moving the stake control, note the five pearl counts and cycle value. After the change, record the new display. Returning to the old wager can test whether the earlier state was retained, but only if local rules and responsible limits permit.

Never increase a stake merely to chase a nearly complete meter. Persistent progress does not guarantee that the cost of continued play will be recovered.

Yin-Yang Scatter and mode selection

Three or more Yin-Yang Scatters trigger Free Games. The player selects one of three modes: more spins with fewer Moving Wilds, or fewer spins with more Moving Wilds, with a middle option between them.

Record all three displayed choices before selecting. Save the chosen spin allocation and starting Wild arrangement. Do not invent exact counts from artwork when the live panel provides them.

After Free Games, main-game pearl counts remain unchanged. Compare the pre-feature and return screens to verify that the bonus did not consume the stored base meters.

Moving Wild timeline

For each feature spin, record the full-reel Wild positions before movement, their next positions and the resulting line wins. A Wild moving between reels changes which paths can use it.

Keep one row per feature spin. Include remaining spins and any Scatter event. The movement animation alone cannot show the full history after the feature closes.

If two Wild reels overlap or pass, follow the help and recorded state rather than assuming they merge or multiply.

Risk, RTP and volatility

Classic Risk is listed as a post-win option allowing up to ten decisions. It follows a settled eligible win and does not add pearls or alter Moving Wild rules. An operator may disable it.

The 96.02% RTP is a long-run theoretical supplier value. High volatility is not a forecast of the next pearl, Scatter or full-reel Wild. If live help shows another RTP, retain both sources with dates.

No Bonus Pop is listed. A purchase control seen under a similar title should be treated as a version conflict, not imported into this page.

Mobile, demo and evidence packet

On mobile, confirm that all five meters, the cycle counter, stake and four rows remain visible. Test orientation changes and ensure the selected Free Games mode is preserved.

A permitted demo can reveal movement and meter logic, but it cannot prove real-money access or currency limits. Label demo evidence clearly.

For support, save round ID, title, version, total stake, currency, RTP, meter state, counter, original grid and history credit. A sequence of timestamped images is more useful than one final celebration screen.

Common interpretation errors

  • Carrying pearl progress across every stake level.
  • Calling a full-reel Wild a multiplier.
  • Letting Wild replace Scatter.
  • Assuming the twelfth spin costs nothing.
  • Choosing a Free Games mode without recording its displayed counts.
  • Treating post-feature pearl meters as a new award.
  • Presenting supplier euro stakes as NZD limits.
  • Using high volatility as a timing signal.

Twelve-spin audit example

Use one row for each paid spin at an unchanged total bet. The row should contain the pre-spin cycle number, five pre-spin pearl counts, landed Green Dragons, pearls transferred, activated full-reel Wilds, line credit and post-spin meter state. This format shows whether the second pearl and the Wild activation belong to the same resolution stage.

On the eleventh completed cycle, preserve the state before starting the next wager. For the twelfth spin, record the debit, full-reel Wild display, all 50-line components and the reset that follows. A complete row demonstrates that the event was reached through the tracked cycle rather than inferred from a celebratory banner.

If the stake is changed halfway through, close the first table and open another for the new amount. When returning to the earlier stake, compare its restored state with the saved row. Do not combine counters from the two wager levels. A server reconnect or device change should be documented in the same way, since it can affect what is visible even when the underlying account state persists.

Comparing the three Free Games modes

The selection screen should be captured before a choice. Build a comparison table with displayed spin count, number of Moving Wild reels, initial positions and any additional conditions. The modes offer different distributions of feature resources; none can be labelled objectively superior from those counts alone.

After choosing, verify that the starting counter and Wild arrangement match the selected card. Track each Wild movement by reel number. If a Scatter retriggers or modifies the feature, record that event separately from ordinary line credit.

For editorial comparison, describe the trade-off—more spins with fewer Wilds versus fewer spins with more Wilds—without promising a higher return. The supplier RTP applies to the configured game over the long run, not to a personal prediction about one mode.

Support-ready questions

Ask the operator which total-bet state was active, whether pearl meters are stored separately by stake, and how the twelfth-spin debit appears in history. For Free Games, request the selected mode, initial Wild positions and inclusive feature total. These focused questions are more useful than asking why the dragon did not “pay”.

Retain the operator response beside the original record. If it conflicts with the public supplier page, date the discrepancy and update only the affected field.

Final assessment

Oriental Dragon is chiefly a state-tracking game. A reliable review connects five pearl meters and the 12-spin cycle to the selected wager, while keeping Moving Wild Free Games separate from Dragon’s Breath.

The official page supports the headline configuration and 96.02% RTP. Live help must still establish local access, stake state, exact mode allocations, configured RTP and settlement history.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
