Ninja is a five-reel, three-row game with 20 fixed paylines. Endorphina publishes 96.02% RTP, high volatility and a €0.20–€40 supplier range. Its Black Ninja is a Wild, feeds a stake-specific meter and powers a Free Games feature in which symbols on the middle reels can become ×2 Wilds.

The official product page was checked on 8 October 2026. It documents supplier rules, not New Zealand operator availability, NZD stakes or the exact configuration in every account.

Published configuration

Field Official value
Grid 5×3
Paylines 20 fixed
RTP 96.02%
Volatility High
Supplier range €0.20–€40
Collection symbol Black Ninja Wild
Free Games trigger 3+ Black Ninjas scattered
Feature Wild ×2 on reels 2–4
Combination multiplier Up to ×8

Line wins run from left to right on adjacent reels. Only the highest win per line is paid, while awards from different lines are added. These two rules prevent duplicate counting when one route appears to support several interpretations.

Black Ninja as Wild

The Black Ninja is Wild and can appear on any reel. In the base game it substitutes according to the paytable and also contributes to the accumulation system. Two or more Black Ninjas add the equivalent number to the meter for later Free Games.

Record the stopping grid and meter before and after every qualifying spin. If three or more Ninjas land scattered, save both the immediate trigger and any meter change. The same icon can participate in several documented processes, but the server log should identify each.

Stake-specific meter pools

Accumulated Wild counts are separated by total bet. Counts collected at one stake cannot be combined with counts at another. This protects the mathematical relationship between the meter and the wager but creates a practical trap: changing stake can make the visible pool appear to change.

Before adjusting the bet, record total stake and current meter. After the change, record the new pool. Returning to the previous exact stake should be tested only within budget and preferably in demo. Do not report a reset until the operator confirms that the original pool is absent rather than merely stored under another stake.

Free Games trigger and duration

Three or more Black Ninjas anywhere on the screen trigger Free Games. During the feature, Black Ninja breaks symbols on reels two, three and four and replaces them with ×2 Wild multipliers. The feature continues until the accumulated Wild count is exhausted.

That means the sequence is driven by stored Wild quantity rather than a simple fixed-spin promise. The feature uses the same bet as the triggering round and can retrigger. Record opening count, each consumed Wild, additions from retriggers and the terminal count.

Multiplier settlement

Each transformed position on reels two through four carries ×2. When several multiplier Wilds participate in one winning combination, their effects are applied, with up to ×8 stated per combination. This is not the same as an ×8 multiplier on the entire screen.

For each win, list the payline, substituted symbols, participating ×2 Wilds, base line amount and final line award. Wins on other lines are then added. Avoid multiplying a feature summary again if it already reflects all Wild modifiers.

RTP and high volatility

The published 96.02% RTP is a theoretical long-run figure for the documented build. It does not predict the next feature or guarantee a session result. High volatility indicates uneven distribution relative to the provider scale and makes monetary limits especially important.

Save the live game ID, version and help-page RTP. If a different value appears, retain both pieces of dated evidence and explain the deployment scope. Never average or choose the more attractive percentage without support.

Stakes and meter management

The €0.20–€40 range is provider metadata. It does not confirm NZD values or local availability. Because meter pools are tied to total stake, currency and stake evidence are mechanically important here, not merely administrative.

Use the final total shown before the spin. A switch in coin denomination can create a different total even when a numerical control looks unchanged. Set a session ceiling and avoid raising stake solely to chase a stored meter.

Risk Game and Bonus Pop

Endorphina lists a Risk Game and Bonus Pop. A post-win gamble exposes a settled-looking award to a fresh outcome, so preserve the original prize, exposed amount and final balance separately.

Bonus Pop may be restricted or absent. If offered, record price, confirmation, starting meter state and any alternative RTP. Paid access cannot be used to infer normal Ninja frequency or New Zealand availability.

Mobile and demo review

On mobile, confirm that the current total stake and its associated meter are visible at the same time. Check that transformed Wilds on reels two to four show their ×2 labels clearly and that the remaining accumulated count is not hidden by animation.

Demo mode is useful for learning the pool switch and feature sequence. It does not prove real-money access, persistent meter behaviour after logout or the same mathematical build. Test account-specific claims only in the authenticated environment.

Worked meter audit

Imagine two Ninjas land at a €1-equivalent total stake and the meter increases by two. Save the opening and closing count. Change to another stake only if necessary; record that a different pool appears. On returning to the original total, verify whether the first count reappears.

When three Ninjas trigger Free Games, capture the opening accumulated count. For each transformation, note the reel, position and remaining count. At completion, compare child-round awards with the feature summary and wallet movement once.

Common interpretation errors

The largest error is saying the meter was deleted after a stake change when a separate pool was displayed. Another is claiming ×8 applies to all wins; the official limit is per qualifying combination. A third is expecting a fixed number of Free Games when duration depends on accumulated Wilds.

Players may also double-count a line because several substituted pictures are visible. Only the highest win on a given payline is paid, then different lines are added. Finally, euro limits should not be published as NZD facts.

Evidence pack

Keep UTC time, operator, title, game ID, version, RTP, currency, exact total stake, balances and round IDs. Add meter values before and after each spin, stake changes, trigger grid, transformations, ×2 positions, line calculations, retriggers and final credit.

Preserve original captures privately and redact account identifiers before sharing. For a meter dispute, screenshots from two different stakes must label both totals clearly.

A stake-pool comparison table

Create a row for every total stake you intentionally select. Include currency, denomination, displayed total, meter count before the spin, Ninjas collected and meter count afterward. Do not compare rows whose currency or total differs, even if the coin selector shows the same numeral. The provider’s separation rule attaches the accumulation to total bet.

This table also helps after logout or device switching. Reopen exactly one recorded stake and compare the restored count before playing. If it differs, preserve the screen and ask support whether meter state is server-side, device-side or subject to an expiry rule. Do not spend more solely to test restoration.

Feature-state chronology

During Free Games, number each transformation event rather than only each spin. One spin can break several symbols on the middle reels. Record the consumed meter amount, new ×2 positions, every affected payline and the count remaining after settlement. Add retriggers as separate events because they can extend the available Wild supply.

This chronology makes the stopping point testable: the sequence should end when the accumulated count is exhausted under the documented rule. If the visual counter and history disagree, retain both and ask for the server-side event log. A screenshot of the final screen alone cannot show how many transformations were consumed.

Questions for support

Ask whether meter pools persist across sessions, how long they are retained and which exact total-stake key selects a pool. Request the active RTP configuration and child-round log for a disputed feature.

Ask how multiple ×2 Wilds combine to reach the published ×8 per combination. If Bonus Pop is available, request its cost and return disclosure. For blocked access, ask for the operator’s territory rule.

Short answers

How are ordinary wins read? Left to right on adjacent reels across 20 fixed lines.

What feeds the meter? Two or more Black Ninjas add their number to the relevant stake pool.

Can different stakes share a meter? No. The provider says pools are separated by total bet.

What triggers Free Games? Three or more Black Ninjas scattered.

Where do multiplier Wilds appear? On reels two, three and four during the feature.

Is ×8 screen-wide? No; it is stated as the maximum per combination.

Final assessment

Ninja’s important rule is not merely that the Black Ninja is Wild. The same symbol connects stake-specific accumulation, the scattered trigger and a feature whose duration follows stored Wild count. Accurate review requires a meter ledger tied to exact total stakes.

Confirm the live RTP, currency and pool before play. During Free Games, trace each transformed position and apply multipliers only to the combinations identified by the server.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
