Macarons by Endorphina: x4 Free Games and stacked Wilds
A practical account of the ring-box trigger, twenty-spin feature, x4 multiplier and champagne Wild restrictions.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Macarons uses five reels, three rows and ten paylines. Endorphina publishes 96.09% RTP, high volatility and a €0.10–€90 supplier range. Three ring-box Scatters award 20 Free Games; feature wins carry an x4 multiplier and the rounds can retrigger.
The official page is a supplier reference, not proof of New Zealand operator access or NZD limits. Verify every account-specific value in the loaded help.

The provider FAQ calls the Wild stacked. Its reel restriction matters: it cannot naturally occupy reels one or five under the published rule.
Ten-line settlement
Trace the enabled route for every win. Matching desserts on separate rows do not qualify unless they follow a fixed path across adjacent reels. Copy the current paytable instead of inferring shorter awards from headline figures.
Confirm whether base bet means total stake or another unit. Use the currency credit in round history as the final account-level result.
Ring-box Scatter
The engagement-ring box acts as Scatter. Three start the feature, while five pay 500x base bet according to the symbol notes. Preserve the full grid and keep the direct Scatter payment separate from later Free Games.
Do not describe the ring animation as evidence of a prize beyond the values in history. Theme and celebration do not alter settlement.
Twenty Free Games at x4
Feature wins are multiplied by four. Reconstruct the underlying line subtotal first, then apply the factor in the order displayed by history. Do not multiply trigger credits or unrelated Risk Game results unless the rules explicitly include them.
Start a counter at twenty and log every completed round. When a retrigger occurs, save the Scatter grid and counter before and after the award. This prevents extra rounds from being counted as cash.
Stacked Wilds on central reels
The champagne bottle substitutes for every symbol except Scatter and appears only on reels two, three and four. A stack can cover several positions and support multiple paylines, but each route still settles separately.
Record stack coordinates and highlighted lines. Do not assume a partial bottle graphic fills the entire reel or persists into the next spin without explicit help text.
Symbol evidence
The loving couple is the highest-paying regular symbol, with five paying 500x base bet. The man is listed at 100x for five. The provider’s selected examples do not establish maximum win.
Read all three- and four-symbol values from the current table. Never multiply 500x by ten merely because ten lines are active.
RTP and volatility
The 96.09% figure is theoretical over a large sample. High volatility describes uneven distribution and cannot predict a ring-box trigger or retrigger.
Save the active RTP, build, operator and date. If live help differs, report both scopes rather than replacing or averaging them.
Stake scope
The euro range is catalogue metadata, not a New Zealand limit. Open the live wager selector and record currency, minimum, maximum and increments.
Budget from total debit per spin. An x4 feature is not a reason to raise stakes or recover previous losses.
Risk Game
Endorphina describes a card comparison in which the dealer opens one card and the player selects one of four. Record the original eligible win before entering, followed by amount risked, dealer card, chosen card and settlement.
The Risk Game is separate from the x4 Free Games factor. Do not apply the feature multiplier again to a later risk result unless the live record explicitly does so.
Bonus Pop
Bonus Pop may vary by jurisdiction. If visible, preserve the price, confirmation screen, entry state and any alternative RTP. Natural Scatter entry and paid access need separate labels.
The feature tag on the provider site is not proof that an NZ operator enables the control.
Mobile and demo
Endorphina says Macarons works on mobile devices. Check that the stack height, reel restriction, counter, multiplier, total stake and balance remain visible in both orientations.
A demo can demonstrate the sequence but cannot prove real-money availability or local terms. Compare demo and live version identifiers.
Worked feature calculation
Suppose a feature spin shows two ordinary winning lines and one stacked Wild on reel three. List both line values before multiplication. Apply x4 as the game report does, then compare the combined currency credit with history.
Do not count each Wild cell as a separate payout. It is a substitute inside a qualifying route, not an independent award.
Retrigger reconciliation
After every spin, subtract one from the counter. Add only the exact number shown after confirmed Scatters. Preserve the last pre-retrigger and first post-retrigger screens.
If the feature reconnects with a changed counter, request child-round history. Avoid estimating completed spins from animation timing.
Evidence pack
Save title, RTP, currency, stake, UTC time, round IDs, trigger grid, counter, multiplier, Wild stacks, line breakdown and balances. Separate Scatter, feature and Risk Game credits.
Redact personal information before sharing. Support needs technical identifiers, not public exposure of account documents.
Theme and editorial scope
The official presentation combines French confectionery, champagne and an engagement motif. This guide treats them as commercial artwork, not lifestyle advice. The page illustration uses an unlabelled bottle and closed box without copying game assets.
The source supports configuration, trigger, x4 multiplier, retrigger, Wild restriction and headline symbols. NZ availability and active limits remain unconfirmed.
Before entering the feature
Open the help panel and verify that the x4 wording applies to all Free Games line wins in the loaded version. Save the active RTP, stake unit and ring-box paytable. Check that the bottle Wild is limited to reels two through four and whether the stack can fill an entire reel or only appear in defined blocks.
Set a spending ceiling from the actual total stake. Twenty rounds and a multiplier can make the feature feel valuable before any outcome exists, but neither guarantees that the trigger spin recovers earlier debits. High volatility is not a reason to extend a session.
Multiplier calculation order
For a feature spin, begin with each qualifying ten-line route. Identify the regular symbol, match length and unmultiplied table value. Add or list those line amounts as the game history does, then apply x4 at the displayed stage. Compare the result with the credited currency.
Keep the five-Scatter 500x payment outside this operation unless the live breakdown explicitly includes it in a multiplied feature subtotal. Likewise, a later card gamble begins from an eligible settled amount; it is not another automatic x4 layer.
Stacked-Wild edge cases
A bottle covering three cells on reel three may assist different paylines that pass through different rows. Count the routes, not the graphic. If two central reels carry stacks, trace every line once and use the server list to avoid omitting crossings.
The published restriction makes a bottle on reel one or five an important discrepancy. First check whether it is a different picture, animation overlay or updated build. Preserve the screenshot and version before claiming the rule is broken.
Questions and concise answers
How many Free Games start? The official page says twenty from three ring boxes.
Are feature wins multiplied? The provider states x4. Confirm the calculation order in live history.
Can the feature retrigger? Yes, retriggering is published, but the added round count should be copied from the current counter.
Where can the Wild appear? Endorphina limits the champagne bottle to reels two, three and four.
Is 500x the maximum win? No. It is the published five-Scatter and five-couple pay example, not a verified game cap.
Is champagne consumption part of play? No. It is theme imagery and has no bearing on mathematics. Gambling and alcohol should never be combined as a risk-management strategy.
Support-ready reconstruction
Provide the parent round ID, trigger grid, Scatter count, initial counter and every child round with line values before and after x4. Mark retriggers and Risk Game events in separate rows. Ask for the server-side multiplier application if the visible subtotal does not reconcile.
The best evidence is a continuous sequence rather than a final celebration screen. It shows whether the discrepancy arose from line selection, Wild substitution, multiplier order or balance posting.
Final assessment
The current help screen remains the decisive settlement source.
Macarons is straightforward only when three layers remain separate: base paylines, the x4 Free Games factor and the optional card gamble. A single feature screenshot cannot explain all three.
Verify the loaded RTP and stake, track retriggers by counter, and use round history to reconcile stacked-Wild line credits.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
