Hot Puzzle: 20-piece collector and Hot Prize rules
Hot Puzzle turns four edge-reel Bonus symbols into a 5×4 sticky-piece collector. This guide follows the three-attempt counter, position multipliers and 1000× completion prize without treating every animation as a separate award.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Hot Puzzle is a five-reel, four-row Endorphina slot with 50 paylines. The official product page checked on 8 October 2026 lists 96.06% RTP, high volatility, a €0.50–€200 reference stake range and Approved status. Four Bonus symbols in prescribed positions on reels one and five open the Puzzle Bonus.
The useful question is not merely whether the feature opens. Each revealed position carries its own multiplier, new pieces reset the remaining-attempt counter, and a completed 20-cell picture awards the published Hot Prize. A reliable record must therefore preserve the order in which the grid fills.

Base game and line order
Ordinary combinations use the 50-line map. Save that map and identify the selected line count if the interface permits any adjustment. Wins should be traced from the leftmost reel on consecutive positions specified by the paytable.
The star is described as the top ordinary symbol, paying 20× base bet for five of a kind. The bell is listed next at 10×. Those examples do not replace the complete paytable: lower symbols, line multipliers and the distinction between base bet and total bet remain important.
The coin Wild substitutes for ordinary symbols but not Bonus symbols. The provider says it appears on reels two through five. Mark the original coin cell and every line it completes rather than counting the Wild as an extra standalone prize.
Exact four-symbol trigger
The trigger uses lip Bonus symbols on reels one and five. The official description specifies four symbols in the top and bottom positions of both edge reels. That is more precise than “four anywhere”.
Record the coordinates before the transition. The four triggering positions transfer into the same locations on the empty 5×4 puzzle, giving the bonus its initial revealed cells. If a version shows a different mapping, preserve the live help and version number instead of forcing the public description onto it.
Three lip symbols are not a published trigger. A visually prominent near miss is still a non-trigger unless the loaded rules provide another route.
Three-attempt collector
At the start of the feature, the puzzle contains the four transferred trigger cells and an attempt counter of three. A new piece sticks in place and resets the counter to three. An empty result reduces the counter. The feature ends when no attempts remain or all 20 places are filled.
Use one row per bonus step. Include pre-step attempts, new coordinate, printed multiplier, post-step attempts and running total. This proves whether a late piece reset the counter before the next empty result.
Do not call every step a respin unless the loaded help uses that term. More importantly, do not confuse three attempts with three total rounds. Successful pieces can extend the sequence repeatedly.
Position multipliers
Every puzzle location has an attached multiplier, published as reaching up to 16×. When a piece occupies a cell, the position award is added. The four trigger positions already reveal corresponding parts when the feature begins, so note how their values enter the displayed total.
Build a 5×4 coordinate map labelled A1–E4. Record each cell once and compare the sum with the inclusive feature counter. If the interface shows a rolling animation, wait for settlement before reconciling the result; transient numbers may be presentation stages rather than separate credits.
The “up to 16×” figure describes an individual position ceiling, not an assured cell value and not the full feature maximum.
Completing the picture
Filling all 20 places unlocks the Hot Prize of 1000× total bet according to Endorphina’s page. Preserve the final piece, the completed grid, the 1000× message and the transaction-history entry.
Check whether the running position total is replaced by or included within the completion award. The public summary names the Hot Prize but a settlement question should be answered from current help and history. Never add the displayed feature total to the final credit without confirming whether the counter is inclusive.
If the feature ends with empty cells, only the revealed position awards shown by the configured game apply. A nearly complete picture has no additional value merely because one cell was missing.
Classic Risk and RTP
The Classic Risk Game can offer up to ten doubling decisions on eligible settled wins. It is separate from the puzzle collector and may be disabled by the operator or jurisdiction. Record whether the option appears after base wins, feature wins or neither.
RTP of 96.06% is the provider’s long-run theoretical setting. It cannot predict when four lips will land or whether a piece will reset the counter. High volatility likewise describes distribution, not a signal that a completion is due.
If live help displays a different RTP, keep both records with dates and treat the loaded value as the relevant account configuration. Do not average them.
Mobile and demo verification
Endorphina states that Hot Puzzle supports mobile and computer devices and provides a demo on its official page. A demo can establish feature sequence and terminology, but it does not prove real-money access in New Zealand.
On a phone, verify that all 20 cells, multiplier labels, attempt counter, stake and running total stay readable. Test portrait and landscape orientation. A hidden cell or cropped counter can make a screenshot incomplete even when the feature itself settles correctly.
For an evidence packet, save title, game version, account currency, total stake, RTP screen, trigger grid, every revealed position, final collector state, round ID and history credit. A timestamped sequence is stronger than one celebration image.
Worked audit pattern
Suppose the feature starts with four edge positions revealed and three attempts. The first step is empty, so the counter falls to two. The second reveals C3 and resets it to three. Two more empty steps reduce it to one; a new E2 piece restores three again. The table should show each transition rather than summarising the feature as “five spins”.
At settlement, list all occupied coordinates and their displayed multipliers. Sum them once, then compare that figure with the feature meter and history. If the picture completed, open a separate row for the 1000× completion event and identify whether it replaced or supplemented the collected position total.
This method also distinguishes a visual reveal from an actual credit. The animation may uncover a character image, but the accountable units are grid position, multiplier, attempts and settled award.
Common interpretation errors
- Treating four lips anywhere on the grid as the published trigger.
- Calling three attempts a fixed three-step bonus.
- Counting a newly revealed piece without resetting the counter.
- Applying Wild substitution to the Bonus symbol.
- Reading 16× as the guaranteed value of every position.
- Adding an inclusive running total twice.
- Awarding a near-complete picture an unpublished consolation prize.
- Presenting supplier euro stakes as NZD limits.
Hot Puzzle versus Santa’s Puzzle
The two Endorphina titles share a 5×4 collector structure, edge-position trigger, sticky pieces, three-attempt reset and 1000× completion concept. Similar rules do not make them the same product record. Keep title, art, version, RTP page and loaded help attached to the correct game.
Do not transfer an observation from Santa’s Puzzle into Hot Puzzle merely because the mechanics look alike. If a multiplier layout or settlement order differs, document that difference. Each canonical review remains responsible for its own evidence.
Pre-session verification card
Before the first paid round, write down the title exactly as displayed, game ID, version, RTP, total-bet unit and the four trigger coordinates described in help. Open the puzzle information panel and confirm the starting attempt count, highest position multiplier and wording of the completion prize. This small record prevents a later screenshot from being attached to the wrong build.
Set a time and spend boundary before testing. The 20-cell graphic can encourage continued play when only one or two places remain, but an unfinished picture is not stored value unless current rules explicitly say progress persists. Do not raise the wager to pursue a missing piece.
After the session, compare the opening facts with round history and note any interface update or reconnect. If the game page changed during the review period, keep both check dates and revise only the affected field. This creates an auditable correction trail without rewriting stable rules.
Final assessment
Hot Puzzle is best audited as a state machine. Four exact edge positions establish the starting grid; empty steps consume attempts; new pieces restore the counter; occupied cells add their own values; completing every cell invokes the published Hot Prize.
The official product page supports the 5×4 structure, 50 lines, 96.06% RTP and main collector rules. Live help must still confirm the configured RTP, wager basis, multiplier map, settlement order and local availability.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
