Crystal Skull family: wheel attempts, expanding Wilds and Treasure Hunt
The original adventure build and its Dice edition share a published mathematical framework. This guide keeps their identities separate while auditing the same two-stage bonus route.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Crystal Skull and Crystal Skull Dice are two Endorphina builds with the same provider-listed baseline: 5 reels, 3 rows, 25 lines, 93.77% RTP, medium-high volatility and a €0.25–€75 reference stake range. Both official pages are marked Approved. That shared profile makes one family comparison useful, but it does not make the files interchangeable.
The original presents explorers, ruins and character symbols. Dice replaces much of that presentation with golden dice. Before applying any rule, record the exact title and product identifier loaded in the help screen. Neither supplier page confirms availability through a New Zealand account, an NZD stake range or an operator-specific RTP setting.

The percentage is a dated supplier-page value, not a promise for every certified deployment. The euro range is also not a currency conversion. A review of an NZ-facing implementation requires the loaded help, account currency, total-debit display and operator terms.
Base-game evaluation
The family uses 25 paylines. Ordinary symbols must follow the live paytable and the enabled line map rather than a scatter-count method. The official original page identifies the explorer as the highest regular symbol and lists five explorers at 400× base bet. The Dice page also lists its explorer representation at 400×. Five pyramid Scatters are published at 50× base bet in both records.
The crystal skull is Wild and substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus symbol. It appears on reels two, three and four and can expand vertically to help complete combinations. Its interaction with Scatter needs careful wording: the Wild may substitute for a Scatter, but in such a combination it does not expand and represents only one Scatter per reel.
This difference matters in evidence. A full-height skull animation is not automatically three Scatters. Save the stopped grid before the animation, mark the reel containing the skull and use the help rule to determine whether the line or Scatter evaluation applies.
Wheel of Fortune trigger
Three Bonus symbols trigger the Wheel of Fortune Bonus Game. The official descriptions place those Bonus symbols on reels three, four and five. Once triggered, the wheel can stop on a total-bet multiplier from 10× to 25× or on the Bonus section that opens Treasure Hunt.
The player receives three attempts to seek the maximum multiplier. “Attempt” should not be rewritten as three independent paid spins. Keep one parent round ID, then record the displayed result of attempt one, attempt two and attempt three. If the interface locks or replaces a value between attempts, note the actual behaviour instead of inferring it from the artwork.
For a complete wheel record, capture the trigger symbols, total bet, initial wheel state, each stopping result and the final award or transition. Do not calculate a multiplier from pointer position when the game prints a separate result. The displayed settlement and transaction history are stronger evidence than animation timing.
Treasure Hunt pick sequence
Landing on the Bonus section opens Treasure Hunt. Endorphina describes five levels with five stone skulls per level. At each level, one skull can be checked; skulls conceal either treasure or an ancient snake. Wins collected during the pick game are added together.
The source also sets two boundaries: the Bonus cannot be won again inside Treasure Hunt, and the pick feature cannot return to the Wheel of Fortune. That means the state diagram is one-way: paid round → wheel → optional Treasure Hunt → settlement. A review should not imply a recursive wheel loop.
Number the five possible levels. For each reached level, save the chosen skull, its revealed content and the running total. If a snake ends or changes the route, preserve that transition. The final history entry should be compared with the accumulated pick result and any wheel component without counting the same award twice.
Original versus Dice
The family comparison supports a narrow conclusion: the two official pages publish the same grid, lines, RTP, volatility, bet reference, Wheel structure and Treasure Hunt description. Their visual symbol sets differ. Dice uses a dice-centred presentation, while the original uses illustrated adventure symbols.
The official Dice page explicitly lists the crystal skull Wild and the original page describes the same substitution and expansion behaviour. Even so, the live product ID remains essential. A later revision or operator configuration could diverge, and a screenshot cropped to the reels may not reveal which build generated it.
For readers choosing between the two, compare symbol readability and help access rather than claiming one pays better. The published information does not establish a mathematical advantage for either edition.
Risk and Bonus Pop
The provider lists Risk Game and Bonus Pop among the family’s controls. The original description says Classic Risk can double winnings up to ten times. That statement does not require a player to use it, does not change the underlying settled win and does not establish availability in every jurisdiction.
Before Risk, save the original win and decide whether the feature creates a separate transaction or modifies the same round. For Bonus Pop, record its price, starting state and any RTP note from the exact live help. Endorphina warns that Bonus Pop may not be available at every casino depending on jurisdiction, so absence in a checked build should be labelled unavailable rather than erroneous.
RTP and stake interpretation
The published 93.77% RTP is a theoretical long-run setting. It cannot predict a wheel result, a Treasure Hunt path or a short session return. Medium-high volatility is a category describing distribution, not a schedule for features.
Keep the value attached to its source and date. If live help shows a different figure, publish the discrepancy and scope instead of averaging the percentages. Likewise, €0.25–€75 is a provider reference. An NZ account may use another currency, have another minimum or not list the game at all.
Mobile and demo review
Endorphina offers a demo from its product page and states mobile support. Demo access can help locate the paytable, line map and bonus help where age, location and site policy permit it. It does not prove real-money availability through an operator or identity between demo and account builds.
On a phone, verify that the five reels, total debit, wheel attempts and running Treasure Hunt value remain visible. Rotate once and check whether the same round ID persists. If the browser backgrounds during a pick, reopen history before selecting again so the same level is not documented twice.
A reproducible audit
Start with a configuration sheet containing edition name, product ID, help version, 5×3 grid, 25 lines, 93.77% provider reference, account currency and total stake. Capture the line map and symbol table before a feature begins.
For a wheel-only result, store the three Bonus symbols, three attempt outcomes and final multiplier. For Treasure Hunt, extend the same ledger with every reached level and reveal. Finish with the transaction-history credit. The opening balance minus one debit plus the settled credit should reconcile with the closing balance if no other activity occurred.
If it does not reconcile, stop further rounds. Preserve local time, time zone, round ID, help pages and uncropped screenshots. Remove personal and payment information before contacting support; passwords and authentication codes should never be included.
New Zealand evidence boundary
The official pages list regulated jurisdictions but do not establish New Zealand operator access. The provider’s Approved label is not an NZ operator licence and should not be presented as one. A catalogue listing establishes that Endorphina documents the products, nothing more.
Any statement about current NZ availability, local stakes or a particular operator needs separate dated evidence from that service. If that evidence cannot be obtained, the correct status is unconfirmed.
Questions readers ask
Do both editions publish the same RTP?
Yes. Both checked Endorphina pages show 93.77%, but the live help remains necessary for a deployment-specific claim.
Does the Wild always expand?
No. The skull can expand on its reels for ordinary combinations, but it does not expand when substituting in a Scatter combination.
Can Treasure Hunt return to the wheel?
No. The official rule says Treasure Hunt cannot return to Wheel of Fortune, and its Bonus cannot be retriggered there.
Is the €75 limit valid in New Zealand dollars?
No. It is a euro provider reference, not an NZD limit.
Final assessment
Crystal Skull is best understood as a 25-line game leading to a three-attempt wheel and, sometimes, a five-level pick sequence. The family page keeps the original and Dice editions together because their published framework matches, while retaining their separate identities.
The strongest record is chronological: exact build, stopped grid, wheel attempts, optional pick levels and wallet settlement. Theme and animation can explain where to look, but live help and history decide what can be claimed.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
