Cows & UFOs: UFO Alert bonus rules and multiplier evidence
Cows & UFOs compresses its base game into only five fixed lines, then replaces that structure with a 3×3 collection grid. This guide explains which symbols trigger the change, how the UFO combines prizes and what still needs checking in a live build.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Cows & UFOs is a three-reel, three-row Endorphina slot with five fixed paylines. The studio page checked on 8 October 2026 publishes 96.03% RTP, high volatility, a €0.05–€8 reference stake range and Approved status. Its main mechanics are a dog Wild, cow and bull trigger symbols, the UFO Alert Bonus Game and an optional Classic Risk Game.
The small base grid is not the whole product. Three cows or bulls appearing across all three reels trigger a separate 3×3 bonus grid. Cows and bulls carry prize values; UFOs can collect those values and apply a displayed ×1, ×2 or ×3 multiplier. Understanding the order of collection and multiplication is therefore more important than simply counting visible animals.

These are supplier-level references, not promises about a New Zealand-facing account. Endorphina’s jurisdiction list does not establish that a particular NZ operator carries the game. Currency, stake steps, deployed RTP, Risk availability and access must be checked in the loaded product.
Base-game line reading
The five-line layout is compact enough to audit manually. A valid ordinary result still depends on the exact line paths published in game help, so save that diagram rather than assuming a generic 3×3 pattern. For every settled spin, record the total debit, visible symbols, active line and the award basis shown in history.
The ram is the highest-paying ordinary symbol named on the official page. Three rams are listed at 30× the base bet. This is a useful version marker, but it is not a substitute for the complete paytable. Lower symbols, line directions and any minimum match length must come from the current help panel.
“Base bet” deserves special attention. An interface may distinguish line stake, base bet and total stake. A multiplier quoted against one of those units cannot safely be applied to another. Before calculating a currency award, copy the exact wager label and value that the game displays.
Dog Wild boundaries
The dog is Wild only in the main game. It substitutes for ordinary symbols but not for cows or bulls. Three Wilds also have a published direct award of 50× base bet. The restriction matters because cows and bulls are feature-entry tokens rather than ordinary line symbols.
Do not use a dog to complete a two-cow trigger. Likewise, do not carry a base-game Wild into the bonus grid: Endorphina says the feature grid contains cows, bulls, UFOs and crop circles. Its settlement logic is different from the five-line evaluation that preceded it.
When reconstructing a spin, separate the Wild line payment from feature eligibility. A single screen may contain both a winning ordinary line and three trigger animals. Record each component once, then use the round history to see whether the line amount is included in the displayed total.
Triggering UFO Alert
The official rule requires three cows or bulls to appear simultaneously on all three reels. The wording permits a combination of the two animal types, but the live help should remain decisive for the exact trigger illustration. Save the final base grid before the transition animation hides it.
Once triggered, the three reels become a 3×3 field. Each cell can resolve to a cow, bull, UFO or crop circle. The feature begins with three attempts. The studio description says all feature winnings are added and paid at the end, so intermediate flashes should not be added again to the final credit.
Record the attempt counter before and after each action. If a landing resets or changes the counter in a particular build, capture that behaviour from the live rules; the public page confirms the starting number but does not document every counter edge case.
Cow and bull prize values
Each cow or bull displays a value calculated as total bet multiplied by a feature multiplier. Endorphina states that cows can award up to ×10 and bulls up to ×20. Those ceilings do not mean every animal carries the maximum or that one must appear in a session.
To audit a feature, transcribe each occupied cell as a coordinate and value. Keep cows and bulls distinct, and keep “total bet” attached to the multiplier. A displayed ×6 animal at a total stake of $1 would represent a $6 nominal value, but only if the live help uses the same unit and no later collection rule changes it.
Crop circles should not be assigned a prize unless the current help explicitly does so. Their presence on the feature reel is confirmed, but the provider summary does not publish an independent value for them.
How UFO collection works
UFOs can abduct cows and bulls. The provider describes prizes from all objects entering UFOs as being added together; a UFO then applies its displayed ×1, ×2 or ×3 value to that collected total. Other aliens may collaborate and board one UFO, so animation can visually merge several objects.
A safe calculation has three stages:
- list every animal value collected by the relevant UFO;
- add those values once;
- apply the UFO multiplier to that subtotal.
Do not multiply every animal separately and then multiply the combined figure again. If several UFOs appear, use the live history to determine their collection groups rather than inventing a global multiplier. The public description explains the basic sequence but not every simultaneous-UFO ordering case.
Attempts, totals and settlement
The feature starts with three attempts and pays its accumulated result when the feature ends. An attempt is not necessarily the same as a paid spin; it belongs to the already-triggered parent round. The original base-game debit should therefore appear once in a balance reconciliation.
Keep a running audit table with attempt number, new objects, collected objects, UFO subtotal, multiplier and credited feature total. This makes it possible to distinguish a temporary animation counter from the eventual settled amount.
If the history supplies only one final feature result, use that as the authoritative settlement. Screenshots of intermediate values remain explanatory evidence, not extra credits. A visible cow that is later abducted should not be counted both in place and inside the UFO unless the rules explicitly award both states.
Classic Risk Game
Endorphina lists the Classic Risk Game as available. It is a post-win choice, separate from the UFO mechanic. Save the settled eligible amount before entering Risk, then record each choice and the final result. The provider’s product summary does not turn this optional step into part of the advertised RTP for one individual session.
Operators can configure or disable optional controls. If Risk is absent, describe it as unavailable in the checked build rather than as a fault. Declining it should leave the eligible win at the amount shown by the game’s confirmation screen.
RTP, volatility and stake range
The 96.03% figure is a long-run mathematical reference published by Endorphina. It does not forecast the next UFO, feature frequency or a session outcome. High volatility is a supplier category indicating uneven result distribution, not evidence that a large prize is due after a quiet run.
The €0.05–€8 range is euro-denominated catalogue metadata. It does not prove NZD conversion, exact increments or limits at an operator. If live help publishes a different RTP or stake ladder, record both sources with dates and treat the loaded configuration as the account-specific evidence.
No maximum-win claim should be inferred by combining the largest cow, bull and UFO values. Feature composition, collection limits and paytable rules determine the true ceiling. Publish a maximum only when the exact current help states it.
Mobile and demo verification
The provider says the title is available for mobile play. On a phone, check that all nine cells, their values and the attempts counter remain readable without overlapping controls. Test portrait and landscape layouts, enlarged text, history access and restoration after the browser backgrounds.
A permitted demo can reveal interface flow and rule wording, but it cannot prove real-money access, New Zealand availability or the RTP deployed by an operator. Keep demo observations labelled with the domain, date and mode.
Pay particular attention to fast animations. Turn off turbo or quick-spin controls when collecting evidence, if the interface allows it. A pre-collection screenshot and a final history entry are more reliable than trying to infer which animal travelled into which UFO from motion alone.
Round reconstruction checklist
Start with title, supplier, game ID, version, operator domain, date, device, currency, total stake and displayed RTP. Save the five-line map, complete paytable, dog Wild restrictions, trigger description and feature instructions.
For the trigger round, capture all three reels before the transition. During UFO Alert, number the cells from top left to bottom right and log every change. Mark animal type, printed multiplier, UFO multiplier and any movement between cells.
At completion, reconcile opening balance minus one paid debit plus the final settled credit. Add a separate Risk branch only if the player deliberately entered it. Retain the round ID so an operator can identify the same event if the visible animation and history appear inconsistent.
Common interpretation errors
- Letting the dog Wild replace a cow or bull.
- Treating every three-symbol line as the bonus trigger without checking all reels.
- Reading the cow ×10 and bull ×20 ceilings as guaranteed values.
- Applying an UFO multiplier twice.
- Counting an abducted animal before and after collection.
- Adding interim feature displays to the final settled credit.
- Converting the euro range into claimed NZD limits.
- Presenting 96.03% as a short-session expectation.
Each error changes either eligibility or arithmetic. The most useful evidence is the current help paired with a round-specific history record.
Who may prefer the format
Cows & UFOs may suit readers who like a small, readable base grid followed by a clearly different collection feature. Five fixed lines reduce visual clutter, while the bonus rewards careful attention to values and collection order.
It may be less suitable for someone who dislikes high-volatility classifications, fast object movement or optional post-win decisions. A compact grid does not make outcomes predictable, and a feature that looks nearly full does not imply that another trigger is close.
Final assessment
Cows & UFOs has a clean rules boundary: dogs affect ordinary lines, cows and bulls open UFO Alert, and the feature then uses a new 3×3 collection model. The provider page supports 96.03% RTP, high volatility, five fixed lines, three starting attempts and the published animal and UFO multiplier ceilings.
The live build must still confirm availability, currency, actual RTP, full paytable, exact simultaneous-UFO handling and optional Risk controls. That distinction keeps the review useful without turning catalogue metadata into an account-level promise.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
