Chunjie by Endorphina: Dragon Free Games and Wild multipliers
A practical reading of Chunjie’s 38-line format, player-selected feature length and the multiplier states that require live paytable confirmation.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Chunjie is a five-reel, three-row game with 38 fixed paylines. Endorphina publishes 96.02% RTP, medium-low volatility and a €0.38–€190 reference stake range. A Dragon Scatter opens Free Games, while Wilds in winning combinations can apply multipliers that the provider describes as reaching x88 in a particular feature choice.
This guide separates what the official product page states from what still needs the loaded help. The source does not prove availability at a New Zealand operator, an NZD stake range or the exact configuration attached to a reader’s account.

Endorphina’s prose names a range from 20 Free Games with a low multiplier to three Free Games with a chance of x18 or x88 when a Wild participates. It does not publish the complete option table in the visible product copy. Therefore this article does not invent the missing intermediate choices.
Understanding 38 fixed lines
Every ordinary win must follow an enabled path across adjacent reels. Thirty-eight lines create many possible routes, but they do not turn all matching symbols into a prize. Use the line overlay to identify the route, match length and direction before comparing the result with the paytable.
The minimum supplier reference of €0.38 may reflect the 38-line structure, but it remains a euro catalogue value. Do not divide or convert it into an assumed New Zealand line stake. The actual account interface should identify total debit, denomination and any selectable steps.
Dragon Scatter evidence
The dragon head acts as Scatter. Three or more start Free Games, and five Scatters are published with a payment of 188x base bet. Keep the Scatter payment and the later feature credits in separate rows of a settlement ledger.
For a trigger, save the complete grid rather than a cropped dragon animation. Record how many Scatters landed, the amount credited directly, the choice screen that followed and the first feature counter. These images establish the transition without relying on memory.
Duration versus multiplier potential
Chunjie asks the player to trade feature length against multiplier potential. Twenty rounds provide a longer observation window with a lower multiplier profile. The shortest published endpoint is three rounds, where the description mentions a chance for x18 or x88 when a Wild appears on a winning line.
That is not enough information to rank one choice as mathematically superior. Round count multiplied by the largest possible factor is not expected value. Symbol probability, Wild frequency and exact multiplier distribution are not supplied by that shortcut. Describe the choice as pacing unless the live help publishes comparable theoretical returns.
When documenting a selection, write down every option shown, the one chosen, the initial counter and the multiplier indicator. If the menu differs from the supplier prose, preserve the discrepancy with a date and game identifier rather than forcing the interface into an older description.
Wild substitution and multiplication
The Wild sign substitutes for all regular symbols but not the Dragon Scatter. Endorphina also says one or more Wilds in a winning combination can multiply the win, with high feature factors possible. The key phrase is “in a winning combination”: a Wild elsewhere on screen does not automatically affect an unrelated payline.
Trace each highlighted route. Note the regular symbol being completed, which reel contains the Wild and the factor displayed in the breakdown. If several Wilds take part, follow the game history to learn whether factors multiply, add or resolve under another rule. Never infer x88 merely because a Wild is visible.
Published symbol values
Five Wilds pay 23x base bet according to the official symbol notes. The pots of gold are identified as an equal highest regular symbol, with five paying 2x base bet. The lower-looking regular value reflects the game’s 38-line structure and does not by itself measure overall return.
Do not multiply a five-symbol value by all 38 lines. Only qualifying routes pay. Copy the values for three- and four-symbol matches from the current paytable; the provider’s headline notes are not a complete substitute for that table.
RTP and medium-low volatility
The published RTP is 96.02%. It is a theoretical long-run reference for the configuration represented on the product page, not a refund rate for an individual session. The medium-low volatility label is the studio’s category and cannot guarantee frequent wins or a feature within a fixed number of rounds.
Check the active RTP inside the game after every material version change. Save the percentage, title, build identifier, operator and UTC date together. If the loaded help displays another value, report the source difference rather than averaging the two.
Bet-range scope
The €0.38–€190 range is a supplier reference. It does not prove the title is available in New Zealand or that an NZ account offers equivalent limits. Currency conversion cannot establish product configuration.
Open the live wager control and record the exact currency, minimum, maximum and step sequence. Use the total round debit for budgeting. Choose a limit before play that remains acceptable even if no Dragon Scatter appears.
Risk Game and Bonus Pop
Endorphina lists both a Risk Game and Bonus Pop. The Risk Game concerns an already settled eligible credit. Record the original win, amount placed at risk, selected option and final outcome as its own transaction.
Bonus Pop is an optional route into a feature and can vary by jurisdiction or operator. If it is enabled, save the quoted cost, confirmation screen, feature state and any separate RTP disclosure. Do not compare a purchased feature sample with a naturally triggered one without identifying the entry method.
Mobile and demo checks
The product page says Chunjie is available on mobile. On a small screen, verify that all 38-line indicators, the Free Games option labels, multiplier state, stake and balance remain readable. Test both orientations and system text enlargement where available.
The supplier demo is useful for learning the choice flow. It does not establish real-money access, local approval, NZD limits or identical mathematics at a casino. Compare the demo’s help with the deployed version before transferring any observation.
Worked line audit
Suppose a Free Game highlights a five-symbol pots-of-gold line containing one Wild. First copy the payline number and its row sequence. Then record the five-symbol table value, the Wild’s participation and the displayed multiplier. Follow the calculation order shown by the game rather than applying the largest feature factor automatically.
If several paylines use the same Wild, list them separately and add their settled credits once. Reconcile the result with the feature total and the balance movement. This exposes both missing lines and accidental double-counting.
Choice-screen edge cases
A feature has not necessarily started when the menu first appears. Record the confirmed option and the counter on the first completed Free Game. If the interface closes, times out or loses connection, the server history should identify which state was selected.
If a retrigger or secondary selection is offered, do not apply a new multiplier retrospectively to earlier credits. Preserve the last round under the old state and the first round under the new one. Ask support for child round IDs when the transition is not clear.
Evidence pack for support
Save the exact title, active RTP, currency, stake, UTC time, round ID, opening and closing balances, trigger grid, Scatter count, option menu, selection, counter, Wild positions, line breakdown and feature total. A continuous sequence is more useful than one striking frame.
Ask support for the server-side round record, complete option table and definition of base bet. Redact usernames, identity documents and payment information before sharing evidence outside the operator’s secure channel.
Cultural and editorial treatment
Chunjie refers to the Spring Festival and uses dragons, yuanbao, firecrackers, fish, tangerines and coins. This guide discusses the commercial game’s mechanics; it does not present the slot as an authoritative explanation of Chinese traditions. Our illustration is original editorial artwork rather than copied game art.
The theme cannot support claims about RTP, legality or access. Those depend on the cited provider page and the current account-level rules.
Final assessment
Chunjie’s defining decision is the exchange between feature length and multiplier potential. The supplier confirms the endpoints but does not expose every choice in its visible text, so the loaded menu must supply the missing details.
The official page supports the 5×3 grid, 38 lines, 96.02% RTP, Dragon trigger, Wild substitution and headline symbol values. New Zealand availability, the active option table and account limits remain questions for live help.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
