Book of Conquistador: selected expanding-symbol Free Games
Book of Conquistador follows a classic book structure, but settlement order matters: regular wins resolve before the chosen symbol expands. This guide records the selected symbol, retriggers and both functions of the Book.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Book of Conquistador is a five-reel, three-row Endorphina slot with ten paylines. The official page checked on 8 October 2026 lists 96.05% RTP, high volatility, a €0.10–€45 reference stake range and Approved status. Three or more Book Scatters start ten Free Games with one randomly selected expanding symbol.
The Book acts as Scatter and Wild, but the selected feature symbol has its own rule. The provider explicitly says Book Wild does not substitute for the special expanding symbol.

Ten-line base game
Save the ten paths from current help and evaluate ordinary wins from the specified starting reel. Record line number, matching symbol and any Book substitution.
The gold-framed man is listed at 500× base bet for five of a kind; the red-framed man is listed at 200×. These are paytable anchors, not an overall maximum.
Keep base-bet units separate from total stake. Do not turn the euro reference range into an account limit.
Book as Scatter and Wild
Three or more Books trigger Free Games and may also pay a Scatter award. Five Books are listed at 200× base bet. Capture the trigger grid and determine whether the Scatter credit is included in the feature total.
As Wild, the Book substitutes for nine regular symbols according to the product description. It cannot substitute for the selected expanding symbol during Free Games.
Count Book functions separately: one row for Scatter count, another for line substitution. This prevents the same graphic from being treated as two cash awards without paytable support.
Selecting the special symbol
At feature entry, one ordinary symbol is randomly chosen inside the Book. Save the reveal screen, selected artwork and ten-spin counter.
The selected symbol expands only when enough copies are present to complete a winning combination. A lone copy is not automatically a full-reel expansion.
Record every original position before expansion. Later full-height graphics should trace back to those landed copies.
Expansion and settlement order
The provider states that regular symbols pay first, then qualifying selected symbols expand vertically. Build two grids: the landed state and the expanded state.
Calculate ordinary line wins on the first grid. On the second, evaluate only the additional paths created by expansion, following current help on whether overlapping awards are added or consolidated.
Do not substitute the Book for a missing selected symbol. That would bypass the specific restriction and create an unsupported expansion.
Retriggering Free Games
Free Games can be won again during the feature. Record Book count, counter before the event, added spins and new total. A retrigger extends the original paid round and should not debit another stake.
The same selected symbol should normally remain unless the loaded help states a reselection. Save any reselection screen rather than assuming it occurred.
Keep the feature timeline under one round ID from initial trigger through final settlement.
A practical line worksheet
For each spin, list the ten paths, ordinary award, selected-symbol source cells, expanded reels and incremental award. This separates expansion effects from initial wins.
Add Book Scatter value and retrigger state in independent columns. At the end, compare the summed supported components with the inclusive history total.
If the displayed win counter is cumulative, do not add it after already adding its line components. Save opening balance, original stake and closing balance as a final cross-check.
Risk and Bonus Pop
Classic Risk is listed as an optional post-win route up to ten decisions. It begins after settlement and does not affect the selected symbol.
Bonus Pop is listed but may be unavailable depending on jurisdiction. If present, record its price, feature route and RTP disclosure. Never copy the purchase terms from another book game.
An absent button does not change the ordinary ten-line and Free Games rules.
RTP, volatility and version scope
The 96.05% figure is a long-run supplier reference. High volatility does not indicate when Books or selected symbols will land.
Check the loaded RTP. If different, publish both with sources and dates instead of averaging them. Unshown values should remain unconfirmed.
The title and game ID are important because many book-format games use similar artwork and mechanics. Evidence from another title is not interchangeable.
Mobile and demo checks
On mobile, verify that the selected symbol reveal, original positions and expanded reels remain readable. Test paytable access and feature history after orientation changes.
A permitted demo can illustrate expansion, but cannot prove real-money access or operator settings. Label the evidence with URL, device and date.
For support, retain round ID, version, stake, currency, RTP, trigger grid, selection screen, both grids for disputed spins and final history credit.
Errors to avoid
- Treating any Book as an automatic feature trigger.
- Letting Book substitute for the selected symbol.
- Expanding without enough copies for a line.
- Paying expansion before ordinary symbols.
- Counting cumulative totals twice.
- Importing Bonus Pop terms from another game.
- Calling 500× the complete win cap.
- Claiming euro stakes are NZD limits.
Two-phase settlement worksheet
Create one worksheet for each Free Games spin with two panels. Panel A contains the original grid, every ordinary ten-line combination and any Book Wild substitution. Panel B copies the grid, marks landed copies of the selected symbol, expands only qualifying reels and lists the resulting additional lines.
The subtotal from Panel A should be fixed before Panel B begins. This follows the provider’s stated order and prevents expansion from rewriting an ordinary award. If the game history combines both stages, keep the two editorial subtotals and compare their sum with the single official credit.
When a Book and selected symbol appear on the same potential line, apply the restriction: Book cannot stand in for the special symbol. Note the blocked cell rather than filling it as Wild. This is the most important distinction between the feature and ordinary base-game substitution.
Tracking feature continuity
At entry, save the chosen symbol and initial ten-spin counter. For every spin, record Books, retrigger additions and remaining spins. If the feature is interrupted by a browser close or connection loss, use transaction history to establish whether it resumed under the same selection.
A retrigger should remain under the same paid round ID. If the interface displays a new ID, preserve both and ask support how parent and child records are linked. Do not infer a second stake from a new animation sequence.
Bonus Pop evidence
Because Bonus Pop is jurisdiction-sensitive, the loaded control needs its own record. Save the offered price, selected stake, confirmation text, starting feature state and any separate RTP notice. Confirm whether the chosen expanding symbol is selected normally after purchase.
Do not describe Bonus Pop as “buying a win”. It purchases or changes access to a feature under stated terms; its result remains random. If the button is absent, leave price and availability unavailable for that account.
A concise operator request
Attach the round ID, title, game version, currency, total stake, displayed RTP, selected-symbol screen, both settlement panels and final balance entry. State the exact difference between the calculated supported components and history.
Avoid sending screenshots from another book-format title. Similar layouts do not share a paytable or expansion implementation by default.
Questions to resolve in live help
Confirm whether line wins are evaluated only left to right, how many Books pay at each count, and whether a retrigger preserves the original selected symbol. Check whether the expansion subtotal is displayed separately or only inside the inclusive feature result.
For Bonus Pop, look for a price expressed as stake multiples, the purchased starting state and an RTP disclosure. For Classic Risk, record the eligible amount and whether the control is available after feature wins. None of these fields should be inferred from a promotional screenshot.
Finally, compare the game ID and copyright/version line with the official product page. If the title matches but a rule differs, document the operator build as a separate configuration. A dated difference is more accurate than forcing both sources into one hybrid rule set.
Final assessment
Book of Conquistador is best audited as a two-stage line game. The initial grid settles ordinary paths, and only then does the recorded special symbol expand. Keeping Book functions and retriggers in separate columns removes most ambiguity.
The official page supports 96.05% RTP and the feature sequence. Live help must establish access, exact expansion accounting, currency, stake ladder, RTP and optional controls.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Endorphina, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
