Winds of Wealth rules and symbol-removal guide
A source-led explanation of the 30-line layout, changing Mystery stacks, low-symbol removal, Scatter awards and the information still requiring live Help.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Winds of Wealth is listed by Betsoft as live from 25 August 2022. Its official page documents five reels, 30 paylines, 96.04% RTP, medium/high volatility and a 39.25% hit rate. The core systems are stacked Mystery symbols, removal of low-value symbols and Scatter-triggered free spins.
The public page supplies a reliable feature outline but not the complete paytable, stake range, build number or maximum win. Those values are left unavailable rather than borrowed from an affiliate review.

RTP and hit rate answer different questions. A registered hit may be smaller than the stake, and 39.25% does not promise an award in any short sequence. Medium/high volatility warns that session outcomes can still vary widely.
The 30-line base game
The product page confirms 30 paylines but does not expose their diagrams in readable text. Use the in-client paytable to identify each path, whether all lines are always active and whether symbol values are expressed per line bet or total stake.
For an audit, capture the opening grid and line breakdown. Follow matching symbols across adjacent reels from the required origin. Do not treat adjacent low-value symbols as a win merely because the wind animation later removes them.
The absence of a public stake range means no NZD minimum or maximum should appear here. Before play, record currency, smallest total stake, largest intended stake and any account limits.
Stacked Mystery symbols
Each reel contains stacked Mystery positions. Before a spin is initiated, those positions are replaced by one randomly selected symbol, and all Mystery positions use the same selected symbol for that spin.
This is a pre-spin transformation, not an expanding Wild rule. Record the hidden positions, revealed symbol and final line wins as three stages. A screen filled with one symbol may still need the 30-line patterns to determine payment.
The selected symbol changes between spins. There is no persistence promise in the official text, so do not expect a previous Mystery identity to carry forward. A long stack also does not guarantee that all its visible positions form paying lines.
Winds of Wealth symbol removal
The named feature removes low-value symbols and replaces the cleared space with higher-value symbols. Betsoft says the process continues until all low-value symbols are gone from the reels. The exact trigger and settlement order must still be read in live Help.
For a clear record, capture the grid before removal, list symbols removed at each stage and save the final grid. Then use history to determine whether awards are evaluated after every replacement or only at the end. The marketing overview alone does not settle that detail.
Do not describe the transformation as a guaranteed upgrade in money terms. Higher-value symbols can improve the potential paytable value, but payment still depends on their final arrangement and the line rules.
Free spins and Scatter awards
Three or more Scatters award free spins plus an instant payout. Five Scatters award 25 free spins and their instant prize. The official accessible text does not state the exact spin counts for three and four Scatters or the payout factors.
During free spins, the Winds of Wealth feature has a higher chance to activate. “Higher chance” is comparative, not a published probability. It must not be converted into a percentage or a guarantee that the modifier appears.
Record triggering Scatter count, instant award, opening counter and every later modifier. If additional Scatters appear, check Help before calling them retriggers; the public page does not explicitly document that behaviour.
A worked audit sequence
Imagine a spin reveals matching Mystery stacks and then activates the wind effect. First save the Mystery identity and ordinary line award. Next record each low-value removal and replacement. Finally compare the completed animation with the line-by-line history.
If the same round also includes a Scatter instant award, keep it on a separate line in the worksheet. The visual total may combine base lines, modifier awards and Scatter payment, but the evidence should preserve each source.
This method avoids a common mistake: crediting all visible high symbols to the Mystery feature when some arrived through the wind replacement. Feature names are presentation; settlement stages are the auditable structure.
Maximum-win and paytable limits
The accessible Betsoft page does not state a maximum multiplier. It also omits a full symbol table and wager range. This review therefore marks them unavailable pending in-client Help.
Third-party numbers can refer to a different build or stake definition. A maximum should be published only with the exact Help clause, provider, operator, version and date. A promotional phrase such as “massive prizes” is not a numerical source.
Mobile readability
On mobile, verify that stacked positions remain distinguishable after their common symbol is revealed. The wind animation should not hide the final grid, total stake or history control. Check portrait and landscape at a narrow width.
If the connection breaks during repeated removals, reopen history before spinning again. The server may already have settled the complete result even if the client restarts the animation. Save the round ID and closing balance.
Colour alone should not identify low and high symbols. Textual paytable entries and clear line highlights are important for readers with colour-vision differences or motion sensitivity.
Availability and demo language
Betsoft offers a demo link on its official product page. The sponsored routes in this article are not that demo. Studio evidence does not prove real-money access in New Zealand or availability at a named operator.
Check territorial terms, authenticated catalogue and loaded Help. A successful launch should still be documented with date and account currency because operator catalogues change.
Who may prefer this format
Winds of Wealth may appeal to readers who like traditional lines with visible symbol transformation rather than a permanently changing grid size. Mystery stacks and wind removal are visually distinct, which makes careful history review possible.
It may not suit someone who wants the public provider page to disclose every payout and maximum. Medium/high volatility, a 25-spin headline and higher feature chance do not make short-term results predictable.
Evidence checklist
Building a before-and-after symbol map
Use a five-column worksheet matching the reels. On the first row, mark every Mystery position before reveal. On the second, write the one common symbol chosen for those positions. Add further rows for each wind-removal stage, then preserve the final grid on the last row.
The map answers questions that a final screenshot cannot. It shows whether a high-value symbol came from the Mystery stacks or arrived after a low symbol was removed, and whether several removal waves occurred in one round. Add a separate line for ordinary payline awards and another for any Scatter instant payment.
If the official Help specifies evaluation after each stage, calculate those awards in order. If it settles only the final field, do not invent intermediate wins because matching symbols briefly appeared during animation. When accessible text is silent, label the timing unresolved and use round history as the deployment evidence.
Two rounds with the same final symbols may have different visual paths, but that does not establish different probabilities. The worksheet supports reconstruction, not a strategy for forecasting which Mystery identity or wind sequence will appear next.
Keep the completed map beside the corresponding server round identifier.

How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Betsoft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
