Treasure Room rules and jackpot evidence

A source-led review of Betsoft's 20-line treasure game, separating the published 94% model, jackpot condition and two bonus routes from unverified paytable claims.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Treasure Room appears on Betsoft’s official product page as live from 18 April 2016. The studio records five reels, 20 paylines, 94.00% RTP and medium volatility. It also names three feature paths: a max-bet jackpot condition, a Sword and Shield instant bonus and a separate Rare Treasure round.

That public record is enough to identify the title, but not enough to reconstruct every payout. The complete paytable, active line directions, stake range, jackpot seed and maximum non-jackpot award are not stated in accessible text. Those values must come from the exact deployed Help rather than an affiliate table.

Reading the 20-line base game

A payline game settles symbols along predefined paths. Before using funds, open the line map and confirm whether all 20 are always active, which side starts the evaluation and whether a symbol must occupy consecutive reels. A five-reel label alone does not answer any of those questions.

For a clean check, select one line in the Help diagram, copy its five row positions and compare it with a settled screen. Record symbol count, line number, line stake and credited amount. Repeat with a different path. This exposes whether the interface reports prizes in coins, line-bet multiples or total-bet multiples.

Betsoft’s 94.00% figure is a theoretical long-run return for the documented model, not a session target. It says nothing about when a bonus or jackpot will occur. Medium volatility is likewise a broad distribution label, not a promise of gentle balance movement.

Jackpot qualification is conditional

The official feature list says five jackpot symbols on max bet win the jackpot. Both parts matter. Five symbols on a lower setting may not qualify, and “max bet” must be read from the deployed client because currency, denomination and line configuration can change the total.

Before treating a meter as available, capture the jackpot rules, eligibility indicator and total stake together. Check whether the maximum control merely raises the wager or also activates a specific coin configuration. If the interface changes colour or displays a qualification badge, keep that state in the evidence screenshot.

The product page does not publish a current jackpot amount. A number seen in an old review cannot be carried into this page because progressive values move and may be pooled by operator. Only the live meter and its timestamp can support a current amount.

Sword and Shield instant bonus

Betsoft says the Sword and Shield bonus can award up to 550 credits. The public copy does not state how many symbols trigger it, where they must land or how a credit converts under each denomination. Treat 550 as a credit ceiling for this named feature, not 550 times total stake and not a currency value.

When the event appears, preserve the pre-feature screen and the award panel. Note whether the feature asks for a choice, whether all choices are predetermined and whether the prize is multiplied by line stake. History should show the bonus under the same round ID as its triggering spin unless Help describes another accounting method.

Do not merge the Sword and Shield route with Rare Treasure. They are separately named by the studio and may use different triggers, screens and units. A review that calls both “the bonus” loses the evidence needed to explain a dispute.

Rare Treasure second screen

Three scattered bonus-feature symbols award a second-screen bonus round according to the official overview. “Scattered” means the symbols are not necessarily restricted to one payline, but the exact eligible reels and any simultaneous scatter award remain unpublished in the accessible copy.

At entry, record the number of choices, the labels on any treasures and the closing award. If the screen presents picks, a player choice does not prove skill affects the result. Only Help or a technical document could establish whether the outcome is selected before or after interaction.

The page says players can earn bonus prizes in the Rare Treasure round; it does not publish their range. Keep that field unavailable until a current paytable is readable. This is more reliable than importing an attractive maximum from an older Flash-era description.

Paytable and award units

The public Betsoft page contains feature headlines but no text paytable. Therefore symbol values, Wild substitutions, scatter pays and the top regular combination are unavailable here. The correct extraction order is title, version, total stake, paytable unit and then each symbol row.

If values are shown as credits, record denomination separately. If shown as “x bet”, determine whether bet means line stake or total stake. For example, a 100-credit award cannot be converted to dollars without the active credit value, while a 100× line award cannot be presented as 100× total stake.

Save the paytable as one coherent deployment. Do not combine Betsoft’s 94.00% with a stake limit from one casino and a jackpot rule from another. That synthetic configuration may never have existed.

Practical round ledger

Begin with opening balance, denomination, active lines, coin level and displayed total stake. After one round, preserve the result grid, every feature transition, round ID and closing balance. The balance movement should equal stake deducted and all credited awards combined.

For a jackpot-symbol screen, mark each qualifying reel and the eligibility state before the spin. For Sword and Shield, create a separate entry for the instant award. For Rare Treasure, list the trigger screen and second-screen result. This prevents animated transitions from obscuring one settlement.

An interrupted animation should be resolved from history, not by launching another round. If the jackpot meter or feature prize is missing, contact support with the round ID and timestamps while retaining redacted screenshots.

Mobile and accessibility checks

At phone width, all 20 line paths should remain inspectable, the total stake must stay visible and jackpot qualification must not be hidden behind promotional controls. Rotate between portrait and landscape before a paid round, not during a feature.

Symbols should be distinguishable by shape as well as colour. A Sword and Shield icon, jackpot chest and scattered bonus symbol need unique silhouettes. Reduced-motion mode should not remove the numerical result or prevent history access.

If the mobile build uses a condensed menu, locate Help and history before play. A full-screen bonus can hide browser controls, so know how to reopen the account ledger without refreshing the outcome.

Demo and New Zealand boundary

Betsoft links a demo from its official page. The two sponsored links in this article are not that demo. Studio documentation does not prove that Treasure Room is available to a New Zealand account or present at 22Bet.

Availability must be checked against the operator’s current authenticated catalogue, territorial terms and game Help. If the title is absent, report the tested account and date only; do not convert one account result into a nationwide claim.

Who this format may suit

Treasure Room may interest readers who prefer fixed-line structure and clearly separated feature screens. Its published 94.00% RTP is lower than many newer titles, a material comparison point even though RTP alone cannot predict a session.

It may be unsuitable for anyone tempted to raise the stake solely to qualify for a jackpot. Maximum-bet eligibility changes exposure on every spin and should never override a pre-set loss limit.

Evidence checklist

  1. Match the exact Treasure Room title and Betsoft provider.
  2. Confirm 94.00% RTP in live Help.
  3. Capture all 20 line paths and award direction.
  4. Record denomination, line stake and total stake.
  5. Verify the max-bet jackpot qualification state.
  6. Keep Sword and Shield separate from Rare Treasure.
  7. Preserve round ID, feature screens and final credit.
  8. Mark unpublished paytable fields unavailable.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Betsoft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
