The Slotfather JP rules and version evidence

A version-specific guide to Betsoft's JP edition, keeping its published 97.91% return separate from the lower-RTP original and documenting the gaps left by the public paytable.

The Slotfather JP is a separately named Betsoft product listed as live from 17 August 2015. Its official page states five reels, 30 paylines, medium volatility, an 8.17% hit rate and 97.91% RTP. Those values must not be copied to the original The Slotfather, whose official page publishes a different return.

Betsoft names an on-reels bonus, a dedicated bonus round and a Click Me feature awarding up to 500 credits. The accessible page does not publish the full symbol paytable, jackpot structure, stake range or maximum win, so this article focuses on identification and evidence collection.

Proving that the JP edition is loaded

The title bar should include JP, and the Help screen should repeat the same edition or game identifier. A lobby thumbnail is insufficient because operators can reuse art, shorten labels or group sequels under one tile.

Capture title, provider, game ID, RTP and paytable revision in one evidence set. If the title says JP but Help shows 95.69%, stop and investigate: the original’s studio value may have been loaded or the operator may use a different configuration.

Do not infer that JP means a particular progressive network. The product page does not explain the suffix or publish a meter rule in accessible text. Only the live Help can identify whether a jackpot is fixed, progressive, local or linked.

Thirty-line audit

Open the line map and determine whether all 30 routes are fixed. Record the direction of evaluation, minimum matching length and Wild substitution. For one settled result, trace the exact row positions and compare the credited amount with the paytable.

An 8.17% hit rate is unusually low beside many modern slots, but it remains a model statistic, not a schedule. It also does not show whether small feature credits are included. Never tell a reader to expect one win in a fixed number of spins.

Medium volatility and low published hit rate describe different aspects of the model. Volatility concerns distribution; hit rate concerns the proportion of credited results under Betsoft’s definition. Neither replaces budget controls.

Bonus-round evidence

Betsoft says players can sit down with the Slotfather in a bonus round, but the public feature captions contain no readable trigger or award table. The trigger symbol count, pick sequence and prize range remain unavailable.

When the feature occurs, preserve the trigger grid and every choice screen. Note whether choices reveal credits, multipliers or fixed prizes. A cinematic scene does not change the settlement unit: history should still connect the award to the triggering round.

If the feature uses locations or selectable objects, do not claim player skill changes the result. A choice interface can reveal a predetermined value. Only explicit Help wording can establish decision-based probability.

On-reels bonus and instant credits

The official overview separately names an on-reels bonus that provides instant winnings. This should not be merged with the seated bonus round. Identify its symbol, required count and whether the award lands on active paylines or pays scattered.

The Click Me feature can award up to 500 credits instantly. Credits are not dollars and not automatically total-bet multiples. Record active denomination and any multiplier before converting the result to currency.

If Click Me appears after a normal line result, history may show a component award or one combined total. Save both the visible feature amount and final wallet credit. The arithmetic should reconcile without treating the same 500-credit ceiling as a separate guaranteed prize.

RTP comparison with the original

The official JP value is 97.91%; the official original value is 95.69%. The difference is 2.22 percentage points, but it does not prove a better short session, more frequent bonuses or a larger maximum.

The two pages otherwise publish the same reel count, line count, volatility label, hit rate and marketing feature bullets. That makes version identification more important, not less. Similar presentation can hide materially different mathematical settings.

If an operator labels the title merely “The Slotfather”, use the Help RTP and game ID rather than assuming either edition. A correct review must attach every number to the loaded version.

Jackpot evidence template

Because the accessible studio copy does not explain the JP jackpot, build the record from Help: jackpot name, qualification symbols, stake requirement, current meter, seed, contribution, cap and whether the amount is local or networked.

Capture the meter with a timestamp and currency. Progressive amounts change, so a value cannot become evergreen article copy. If maximum stake is required, show the active eligibility indicator beside total wager.

If Help does not expose contribution or reset information, mark it unavailable. A visible growing meter proves movement, not the method by which an individual wager contributes.

Round reconstruction

Record opening balance, denomination, total stake and active lines. After settlement, save the 5-reel grid, each line award, instant feature, bonus transition, jackpot status and closing balance under one round ID.

For a feature choice, assign letters to each screen rather than treating each animation as a new round. If the client reconnects mid-feature, let history resolve the final outcome before interacting again.

The audit goal is not to estimate frequency from a few trials. It is to verify terminology, calculation order and recoverability of a result.

Mobile checks

At phone width, the JP suffix, RTP entry and jackpot eligibility must remain accessible. A narrow lobby tile that truncates the title is not enough; open Help and capture the full identifier.

Check that 30-line diagrams can zoom without losing labels. Bonus choices should have keyboard or touch focus indicators, while commercial overlays must not cover the bottom controls.

If the cinematic feature rotates the screen, confirm balance and history survive the transition. Use the static settlement log when motion makes an award hard to read.

Demo and New Zealand scope

Betsoft links an official demo on the product page. The sponsored links here are not that demo. Neither the studio catalogue nor a global demo proves that the JP edition is available in New Zealand or at 22Bet.

Operator access, territorial terms and the exact loaded edition need separate checks. Report account-specific absence precisely rather than calling the game nationally unavailable.

Reader decision

The JP edition is mainly a version-identification problem. Its higher published RTP is useful only when the live client actually matches the 97.91% build and jackpot terms are understood.

Readers who dislike low-frequency models should note the published 8.17% hit rate. Anyone drawn by a jackpot should set a stake limit independently of the meter and never raise it solely to become eligible.

Edition-change warning

Operator lobbies can replace a tile while retaining a familiar name or thumbnail. Recheck the Help identity after a substantial site update, not only on the first visit. A changed RTP, game ID or jackpot label means the earlier evidence should be archived as a different deployment.

If both original and JP appear side by side, compare their Help screens before comparing commercial placement. Featured positioning does not establish the mathematical version. The only safe comparison keeps title, identifier, return setting, jackpot terms and date together.

Keep the screenshot set redacted, but retain the full technical identifier for later editorial verification.

That record also makes later corrections faster and less ambiguous.

Evidence checklist

  1. Require the JP suffix or a matching game ID.
  2. Confirm 97.91% RTP in Help.
  3. Capture all 30 line routes.
  4. Identify the on-reels bonus separately.
  5. Record Click Me credits and denomination.
  6. Document jackpot qualification and meter scope.
  7. Preserve feature screens under one round ID.
  8. Never import 95.69% rules or values from the original.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Betsoft, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
