Planning for non-gaming companions
SkyCity Auckland and Hamilton include facilities beyond the gaming floor, but each outlet has its own location, hours, booking and age conditions.
The precinct is not the casino floor
Under-20 visitors cannot enter gaming areas. A restaurant, hotel, observation attraction or bowling venue in the wider precinct may operate under different rules, but access must be confirmed independently.
Auckland precinct context
The checked Auckland dataset includes the Sky Tower, restaurants and bars, three hotels, theatre and attractions. Choose a specific destination and entrance rather than using “SkyCity” as if it described one access-controlled room.
Hamilton precinct context
The checked Hamilton dataset includes restaurants and bars, Bowl and Social, events and functions. Confirm outlet hours, bookings, supervision and whether the route avoids restricted gaming areas.
Agree on an accessible meeting point
Mixed groups should choose a meeting point everyone can use, confirm how each person will reach it and plan the return. Do not leave an under-20 companion waiting beside a restricted entrance.
Sources, changes and corrections
Operational details can change. Check the official source before travel and report a discrepancy so the affected field can be reviewed.
