Temple of Paw — carry the multiplier through Pawsperity

The base game increases the multiplier per removed winning set; the bonus increases it per removed symbol and carries it into the next spin. Read those counters separately.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Temple of Paw by Quickspin is a five-reel, three-row tumbling game with 20 paylines. Its Pawsperity Free Spins use a multiplier that grows with removed symbols and persists between bonus spins.

Verified configuration

The official sheet’s detailed tables list total RTP versions of 96.01%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%, all at volatility five out of five. Its reference stake range is €0.20–€100, not confirmed NZD pricing.

The sheet’s cover contains an inconsistent 90% label while the detailed third model is 92.07% and the Quickspin page advertises 92%. This review follows the detailed table and flags the cover discrepancy rather than silently choosing a value.

Simulated maximum results are 7,333.95x, 7,217.45x, 7,025.60x and 6,593.90x in 100 million spins. They are not promised outcomes.

Tumbles and multiplier

Winning symbols disappear and replacements tumble into their positions. In the base game, the multiplier rises by one for each winning set removed.

In Pawsperity Free Spins, it rises by one for every winning symbol removed and does not reset between bonus spins. The settled round history is needed when several removals overlap visually.

Pawsperity Free Spins and gamble

Three, four or five Cat Scatters award seven, ten or fifteen spins. The gamble can raise the trigger level up to six Scatters and 22 spins, but losing forfeits the current feature.

During the bonus, three, four or five Scatters add three, five or seven spins. Retriggered spins cannot be gambled.

Feature buy

The official page lists a 100x Buy Feature that triggers at least three Cat Scatters with the same frequency as a chance trigger. It is a cost, not an expected return, and can depend on market availability.

Mobile and evidence checks

Confirm that the multiplier, Scatter level, remaining spins and full total stake remain visible on mobile. Preserve the Game ID, active RTP, gamble decision and tumble history for a support case.

Pineapple Crush uses related multiplier arithmetic but has a five-Scatter gamble ceiling rather than six. The Quickspin guide explains deployment checks.

Base screen and fixed paylines

Temple of Paw uses five reels, three rows and 20 fixed paylines. Ordinary awards follow the printed line paths. A matching cat or temple symbol outside those paths does not create an all-ways win.

Save the initial grid and line table before the tumble begins. Once winning symbols disappear, the original line geometry is no longer visible on the main screen.

Wild, paying and Cat Scatter symbols have separate functions. Read the deployed paytable rather than assuming the same values or substitutions as Pineapple Crush.

A tumble chain is one paid round

Winning positions are removed and new symbols fall into the gaps. If the replacement grid forms another win, it also settles and tumbles. The process ends on the first non-winning replacement.

Label the initial result P0 and later states P1, P2 and so on. One wager funds the sequence; the replacements are not separately charged spins.

For every state, store the winning lines, unique removed cells, multiplier and subtotal. The final grid alone cannot reconstruct how the total was built.

Base multiplier rule

In standard play, the multiplier increases by one for every removed winning set. The relevant unit is the set identified by the game, not each individual symbol and not each overlapping payline entry.

Record the multiplier before a removal, the winning set removed and the value displayed for the next stage. Do not apply the chain’s final multiplier to earlier wins that were settled at lower values.

The base multiplier resets when the paid round ends. A long tumble chain does not carry an elevated value into the next wager.

Pawsperity multiplier rule

During Pawsperity Free Spins, the multiplier increases by one for every winning symbol removed. Six unique removed cells create six steps, even when those cells form one visual winning group.

The resulting multiplier persists into the next free spin. Maintain opening and closing values for every spin, plus each intra-spin tumble increment.

Where paylines overlap, count the physical grid position once. A symbol can contribute to several line awards but is removed only once for the per-symbol counter.

This rule is more aggressive than the base calculation, so the two worksheets must not be merged.

Three Cat Scatters

Three Cat Scatters award seven Pawsperity Free Spins. Save all trigger coordinates and the starting counter shown by the transition.

Seven is the number of feature spins, not a guaranteed number of winning tumbles. A free spin with no win still consumes one count.

The initial award can enter the gamble ladder. If the user collects it instead, the feature begins at the three-Scatter tier.

Four and five Cat Scatters

Four Cat Scatters award ten spins; five award fifteen. These natural trigger counts establish larger starting features without requiring the gamble.

Record whether the tier arose naturally or from a successful gamble. The same spin count can have a different decision trail even though the later Pawsperity mechanics are unchanged.

Inside the feature, four and five Scatters have different added-spin values, so preserve the settled count on every retrigger state.

Six-Scatter gamble ceiling

Temple of Paw’s gamble can progress beyond the five-Scatter tier to six Scatters and 22 spins. This is one of the points that separates it from Pineapple Crush.

The user risks the currently awarded feature at each gamble step. A loss forfeits those spins. Save the current tier, target tier, collect option and outcome before the screen changes.

Do not describe six Scatters as an ordinary initial reel trigger unless the live paytable says so. The cited rule establishes it as the top gamble result.

The gamble is not available for spins added during the feature. It applies to the qualifying initial award.

Retrigger additions

During Pawsperity, three Cat Scatters add three spins, four add five and five add seven. Add them to the current counter after the triggering free spin is evaluated.

Keep each result separate. Scatters appearing across consecutive spins do not pool into a larger retrigger. The count must exist on one settled result.

Retriggered spins inherit the persistent bonus multiplier. They do not restart it at its initial value.

Because in-feature additions cannot be gambled, a retrigger should move directly into the updated remaining-spin count.

Multiplier timing audit

The key calculation is when a per-symbol increment begins to affect awards. Record the multiplier shown for each tumble subtotal and compare it with the value immediately before symbols are removed.

Do not take the closing multiplier and apply it to every win in the feature. Earlier wins can settle at smaller values while the meter is still growing.

If the mobile history gives only the final total, preserve the visible sequence and ask the operator for the event breakdown. The Game ID and round ID make that request precise.

Buy Feature at 100×

The documented direct-entry option costs 100× the current bet and triggers at least three Cat Scatters with the same stated frequency as a chance trigger. Confirm the exact starting count delivered by the live version.

The price is a debit, not an award. It does not guarantee recovery of 100× or a high multiplier chain. Keep purchase confirmation and feature settlement as separate ledger entries.

If the control is absent, the provider’s product page does not establish that it is available for a New Zealand account. Optional-mode access is a deployment fact.

RTP table discrepancy

The detailed game-sheet tables list 96.01%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%. A cover label shows 90% for one model, while Quickspin’s page advertises 92%. These source fields are inconsistent.

The detailed table provides the clearer model value, so this article reports 92.07% and flags the cover issue. It should not quietly present both 90% and 92.07% as separate versions without supporting rows.

Most importantly, the deployed information panel determines the active Game ID and RTP. Record what the live game shows and preserve a dated screenshot if it differs from the sheet.

Volatility and simulation context

All four detailed configurations are rated five out of five for volatility. This is Quickspin’s comparative classification and does not predict the next tumble, Scatter or gamble outcome.

The sheet reports observed peaks of 7,333.95×, 7,217.45×, 7,025.60× and 6,593.90× in 100-million-spin simulations. Keep the decimals and sample context.

Those values are not promises or personal frequencies. A formal maximum should come from the active paytable if one is stated there.

Coordinate-based removal count

Use coordinates A1–E3 for the 15 grid positions. For a bonus tumble, list every removed coordinate once. This solves the overlap problem where one symbol appears on several winning paylines.

The number of unique removed cells is the Pawsperity multiplier increment. The line table still pays every qualifying line, so the same coordinate can matter to several line awards without being counted several times for removal.

For base play, use the game’s grouped-removal event rather than the raw coordinate total to apply the one-step-per-set rule.

Example calculation record

Suppose a Pawsperity spin opens at 4× and removes four unique symbols in its first tumble. Write opening 4×, increment four and closing 8× for the next documented stage, subject to the timing shown by the live history.

If another tumble removes two symbols, add a second event rather than combining all six at the start. Store the actual multiplier beside each award.

This is a bookkeeping example, not an expected result. The live game settles the exact application order.

Full Pawsperity worksheet

Record operator, title, Game ID, RTP, currency, stake and entry route. Save the initial Cat Scatter count, gamble decisions and starting spins.

For each free spin, log multiplier at opening, grid state, winning lines, unique removed cells, tumble subtotals, closing multiplier, Scatters and remaining-spin counter.

For a purchased feature, attach the 100× confirmation. At final settlement, compare the combined award with the round-specific ledger credit rather than a changing account balance.

Mobile validation

On a phone, verify that the persistent multiplier, remaining spins, Cat Scatter count and total stake are visible. Celebration effects should not permanently cover the meter.

Open a completed round and confirm that the history distinguishes separate tumbles. If it does not, capture the round ID for server-side support.

The six-Scatter gamble target and loss condition must remain readable before confirmation. Do not rely on a cat animation to communicate the risk.

New Zealand and product scope

Quickspin materials establish Temple of Paw’s mechanics and reference values. They do not prove local casino access, NZD support, feature-buy availability or operator payment terms.

Check those facts in the logged-in operator. Label the mountain-temple image as editorial art, not a gameplay capture. Date the source review so a future sheet correction can be identified.

Separating Temple of Paw from Pineapple Crush

Both titles use a five-by-three, 20-line tumble structure and two multiplier-counting rules. That mechanical relationship does not make their complete paytables interchangeable. Temple of Paw uses Cat Scatters, Pawsperity naming and a gamble ladder that can reach six Scatters and 22 spins.

Pineapple Crush stops its documented gamble at five Scatters and fifteen spins. Its symbols, paytable and source identifiers also differ. When a lobby tile or browser history shortens the title, open the information screen and confirm Temple of Paw before applying this guide.

Internal comparison links are useful for explaining the engine, but they should never be used as a source for missing Temple values. Every number here must remain traceable to the Temple page, sheet or deployed help.

Handling a gamble sequence step by step

If a three-Scatter trigger is offered for gamble, create a decision row before interacting. Record current seven-spin award, target tier and loss condition. After the result, store either collected/failed status or the new four-Scatter, ten-spin state.

A successful first gamble can lead to another decision towards five Scatters, and a later step can target the six-Scatter, 22-spin ceiling. Treat each step as a separate risk; do not represent the ladder as one guaranteed upgrade.

If the player collects at an intermediate tier, the resulting feature begins with that tier’s spin count. If a step loses, the previously earned feature is forfeited. The round history should preserve the decision trail.

This audit is especially important when a user remembers the original Scatter trigger but not the subsequent gamble. A missing feature may be a recorded lost decision rather than a settlement failure.

Reviewing bought versus natural entry

A natural entry begins with a paid reel result containing at least three Cat Scatters. The 100× purchase begins with a separate price confirmation and then supplies the documented trigger route. Mark the origin in the worksheet.

Do not assume the purchase creates the same exact Scatter count on every occasion unless the live help states it. The source says at least three and references the chance-trigger frequency. Preserve the actual delivered screen.

The Pawsperity multiplier rules are evaluated inside the resulting feature, but the ledger evidence differs: a natural entry has the ordinary spin debit, while a purchase has the 100× debit. Keeping them separate prevents the cost from being mistaken for a feature loss.

Checking the source conflict over time

Because the sheet contains a 90% cover label alongside a 92.07% detailed model, save the PDF version or retrieval date. A later corrected sheet may remove the discrepancy.

Do not “fix” the historical source by deleting the note before the official document changes. Conversely, once a new sheet is verified, identify it as a revision rather than silently replacing the evidence behind an older deployed Game ID.

The live information panel remains the decisive source for the round actually played. If it shows 92.07%, record that. If it shows another published version, report that exact value without forcing it to match the cover.

Final editorial acceptance check

Read the article from the perspective of someone reconstructing one round. They should be able to identify the paid grid, every tumble, which multiplier rule applies, initial and added Free Spins, any gamble, and final ledger credit.

Check that no paragraph promises a win, calls a simulation result a maximum, or asserts New Zealand availability without an operator source. Confirm that the FAQ matches the detailed 22-spin ceiling and four RTP rows.

Finally, verify the hero image path, alt text, internal links and official-source URLs. Visual polish is useful, but the evidence chain and title-specific arithmetic are what make the finished page reliable.

Two winning lines do not necessarily mean ten removed symbols

The bonus multiplier counts removed physical symbols, while the award table still evaluates qualifying paylines. Here is an original overlap worksheet that keeps those two measures separate. It assumes a hypothetical history has confirmed two five-symbol line wins sharing three positions. The example does not claim that a particular invented path is one of Temple of Paw’s twenty printed lines.

Call the shared winning cells C1, C2 and C3. The first line also uses C4 and C5; the second uses C6 and C7. There are ten line references but only seven distinct cells: {C1, C2, C3, C4, C5} combined with {C1, C2, C3, C6, C7}. All seven are removed once. In Pawsperity that removal adds seven multiplier steps, not ten and not two. The two valid line awards remain separate even though their removal masks overlap.

This does not establish how the base game groups those two awards into its “set” events. A base-game increment needs the game’s own grouped-removal history; it cannot be reconstructed merely by counting the displayed paylines. The coordinate union is sufficient for the published bonus per-symbol rule, but is not automatically a base-set counter.

Keep settled values attached to their own tumble

Suppose this hypothetical Pawsperity spin opens at ×4. Assume its history explicitly labels the first two unadjusted line awards as one and two bet units, each settled at ×4. Their combined credit is (1 + 2) × 4 = 12 bet units. Removing the seven distinct cells then takes the multiplier to ×11 for the next stage.

The replacement grid is assumed to contain another confirmed award of 0.5 bet units, labelled by that same history as settled at ×11. It contributes 5.5 bet units. If two distinct winning symbols are subsequently removed, the multiplier closes at ×13. Under those deliberately stated event labels, the spin’s combined award is 12 + 5.5 = 17.5 bet units.

The illustration does not assert a universal before-removal settlement order beyond what the hypothetical history expressly supplies. It shows why those labels are necessary. Multiplying every unadjusted award by the final ×13 would instead give (1 + 2 + 0.5) × 13 = 45.5 bet units, incorrectly moving a later multiplier backwards over already settled events. Reusing the seven-cell mask for a later tumble would also be wrong: every replacement state needs its own set of actual removed coordinates.

A retrigger changes duration, not the earlier awards

Now assume the next scheduled free spin starts with one spin remaining and the carried ×13 multiplier. It has no winning-symbol removal but lands three qualifying Cat Scatters. Consuming the scheduled spin and adding the published three-spin retrigger gives 1 − 1 + 3 = 3 remaining. The multiplier stays ×13 because no winning symbols were removed; the three Scatters are not three multiplier increments.

Those additional spins cannot enter the initial-award gamble. Nor do they recalculate the previous 17.5-unit credit at ×13. Record the duration change, persistent multiplier and past settlement in separate columns. This makes the example useful for distinguishing an overlapping-line removal error, a multiplier-timing error and a remaining-spin error without inventing a win frequency or expected payout.

Official sources

Bottom line: separate the base and bonus multiplier rules, and treat the gamble as a decision that can erase the awarded spins.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
