Shields of Lambda — build the Unity meter deliberately

Winning clusters feed a persistent meter. At 70 symbols in the base game or 20 in Free Spins, Unity begins a controlled sequence of symbol fills and tumbles.

Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Shields of Lambda by Quickspin uses a 5×5 grid, cluster wins and tumbles. Winning Lambda symbols are collected into a meter that remains saved for each bet level and between sessions.

Verified configuration

The official sheet lists RTP configurations of 96.13%, 94.18%, 92.06% and an 87% model. Volatility is five out of five for the first three and 4.5 for the lowest model. Its reference stake range is €0.20–€100, not confirmed NZD pricing.

Simulated maximum results for the first three models are 9,926x, 9,794x and 9,642x in 100 million spins. These are test outputs, not promised outcomes.

Lambda collection and Unity

Winning Lambda symbols beneath clusters fill the meter. Unity triggers at 70 collected symbols in the base game and 20 in Free Spins. Excess symbols carry into the next meter cycle.

Unity fills the grid with the lowest-paying symbol. After resulting tumbles, it advances through the symbol hierarchy until no new win is created. The meter is tied to the selected bet level, so changing stake can reveal a different saved state.

Colossal Wild and Free Spins

On a non-winning result, a 2×2 Colossal Wild can land and fill the collection meter. Three or more Scatters trigger Free Spins, with five additional spins for each Scatter beyond three.

The feature gamble can raise the Scatter count and reach up to 20 Free Spins, while a loss forfeits the current award. The official page also lists a 70x feature buy; availability depends on the deployed market.

Mobile and evidence checks

On mobile, keep the cluster result, meter total, selected bet and remaining Free Spins visible. For a support case, preserve the Game ID, active RTP, stake level and screen before and after Unity.

The Quickspin guide explains how to distinguish provider documentation from operator availability. Candy Glyph offers another cluster-tumble structure but uses five charged power-ups instead of a saved Unity meter.

Reading wins on the 5×5 grid

Shields of Lambda pays through clusters rather than paylines. A winning cluster is a group of matching symbols connected through adjacent grid positions according to the live help. Trace the exact cells instead of looking for a left-to-right line.

When the cluster wins, its symbols disappear and replacements tumble into the open spaces. A new cluster can form and start another tumble. All states belong to the same paid round until a grid produces no new win.

Use coordinates A1–E5 to store each state. Mark the winning cluster, removed positions, Lambda symbols collected from beneath it, award and meter after collection.

Do not assume diagonal contact qualifies unless the active rules state it. The grid history is the binding source for which connected cells formed the cluster.

Lambda symbols beneath winning clusters

The collection meter advances when winning Lambda symbols are removed as part of clusters. A Lambda symbol visible outside a qualifying win does not automatically count.

For every tumble, record the number of collected Lambda cells. Update the meter after settlement and compare the increment with the game display. Overlapping visual effects can otherwise make a large cluster difficult to count.

Excess collected symbols carry into the next cycle. If a collection crosses the Unity threshold, store the amount used to complete the current meter and the remainder shown after Unity resolves.

The meter is a feature state, not money already awarded. Its value indicates progress towards Unity under the selected bet level.

Meter persistence by bet level

Quickspin states that Lambda collection is stored for each bet level and between sessions. This means changing stake can reveal another saved meter value rather than scaling one universal counter.

Before altering the bet, write down stake and meter. After the change, record the new stake and displayed meter. Returning to the original bet should show its separately stored state under the documented behaviour.

Do not describe a nearly complete meter at one stake as transferable to a cheaper or more expensive level. Each bet-level state must be treated separately.

Persistence between sessions does not guarantee the next paid spin completes Unity. The meter still requires the missing qualifying Lambda collections.

Base-game Unity threshold

In base play, Unity starts when the stored meter reaches 70 collected Lambda symbols. Preserve the pre-spin meter, Lambda symbols collected in the triggering tumble and any remainder.

The threshold can be crossed during a multi-tumble paid round. Unity then belongs to that same server round. Do not record it as a separately purchased feature.

If the round history shows the meter at 69 and the next qualifying cluster removes three Lambda symbols, the event should complete the 70-symbol cycle and carry two according to the excess rule. Use the live display to confirm the exact sequence.

Unity symbol-fill sequence

Unity begins by filling the grid with the lowest-paying symbol. The resulting grid is evaluated and winning symbols tumble. The feature then advances through the symbol hierarchy as documented until a stage creates no further win.

Record each fill as U1, U2 and onward. Store the symbol type, winning cluster, removed positions, replacement state and award. A final total without this sequence is difficult to audit.

The controlled fill order belongs to Unity; it does not mean the player can choose a symbol tier. The engine applies the hierarchy automatically.

When a Unity tumble also collects Lambda symbols, follow the meter state shown by the active rules. Do not invent a second threshold interaction without evidence from the history.

Free Spins threshold at 20

During Free Spins, Unity requires 20 collected Lambda symbols rather than 70. Maintain a separate feature meter and use the lower threshold only while the bonus is active.

Record the counter at entry and every collection. If Unity triggers, log its fill sequence and any excess before resuming the remaining Free Spins.

Do not apply the 20-symbol threshold to the base game simply because the same meter artwork is visible. Mode determines the required count.

The meter’s saved base-state behaviour and its Free Spins behaviour should remain separate in the worksheet.

Colossal Wild on a non-winning grid

The 2×2 Colossal Wild can arrive when a grid produces no ordinary win. It fills the collection meter under the documented rule and can therefore initiate Unity.

Mark all four occupied cells and the meter before the event. A Colossal Wild is a feature symbol, not four separate ordinary Lambda symbols unless the game history explicitly records them that way.

Because it occurs on a non-winning result, distinguish its meter-fill action from cluster collection. The paid round can continue into Unity even though the preceding grid had no standard cluster win.

Use the round history to verify whether the Wild also participates in later substitution after Unity begins.

Scatter entry and initial spins

Three or more Scatter symbols trigger Free Spins. The source states that every Scatter beyond the first three adds five spins. Record the settled Scatter count and the starting counter displayed by the transition.

Do not infer the base award from another cluster title. Use the live paytable for the exact spin count associated with three Scatters, then add five per extra symbol as documented.

Scatters used for entry should not be added to the Lambda meter. Trigger count and collection count are separate systems.

Gamble route

The feature gamble can increase the Scatter count and extend the starting award up to 20 Free Spins. Losing forfeits the current bonus.

Create a row for each decision: current Scatter state, current spins, target state, possible spins, collect choice and result. A successful first step does not guarantee the next step.

The gamble occurs before the feature begins. A later Unity event or Lambda collection is not part of the gamble ladder.

If the feature is lost, the history should show the decision. Preserve it so the absent Free Spins are not mistaken for a settlement failure.

Feature buy at 70×

Quickspin lists a 70× direct-entry purchase. The confirmation should show base bet, account-currency total, trigger state and active RTP.

The purchase buys access to Free Spins, not a 70× minimum award and not a completed Unity meter. Record the starting collection state delivered by the feature.

Optional purchases can be disabled by operator or market. The supplier page does not prove availability to a New Zealand account.

Four RTP configurations

The documented returns are 96.13%, 94.18%, 92.06% and an 87% model. The product can retain the same shields, grid and meter across these deployments.

Record the exact percentage and Game ID from the live help. Do not treat the 96.13% value as universal. The lowest configuration is listed with 4.5-out-of-five volatility while the first three are five out of five.

RTP and volatility describe different statistical properties and neither predicts when Unity will occur for a saved meter.

Simulation context

The game sheet reports observed results of 9,926×, 9,794× and 9,642× for the first three models in 100-million-spin simulations. These are test observations, not promised maximums or personal frequencies.

The absence of a comparable figure in the extracted summary for the 87% model should remain absent. Do not calculate or invent one from the other rows.

If the live paytable states a formal maximum, use that deployed rule and label the simulations separately.

Cluster and Unity worksheet

Start with operator, title, Game ID, RTP, currency, bet level and saved meter. For each tumble, record grid coordinates, cluster, award, Lambda cells and new meter total.

For Unity, add one row per symbol-fill stage. For Free Spins, store remaining spins and the 20-symbol meter. For a Colossal Wild, store the 2×2 location and meter change.

At settlement, compare the combined cluster and Unity awards with the round-specific account credit. Keep the server round ID with the worksheet.

Mobile validation

On a small screen, verify that all 25 cells, meter total, selected bet and feature mode remain readable. A bet change should visibly reveal the corresponding saved meter.

Open a completed Unity round in history and check whether fill stages and tumbles are available after animation. A screenshot of the final shield grid alone is insufficient.

The 70× purchase and gamble loss condition should remain visible before confirmation.

Product versus operator facts

Quickspin establishes the game mechanics, RTP alternatives and reference euro range. It does not establish New Zealand availability, NZD pricing, feature-buy access or casino withdrawal terms.

Confirm those facts with the logged-in operator. Label the shield artwork as an original editorial illustration, not a game capture. Date the product page and game-sheet review so later revisions can be separated.

Checking a saved meter after returning

Because the source says the meter persists between sessions, record a controlled before-and-after check. Note the exact bet level and meter, close the game normally, then reopen the same title and Game ID. Confirm whether the stored value returns.

This is a verification of interface state, not a reason to continue wagering. A meter near 70 is not an asset that can be withdrawn and does not make the next spin profitable. It only records prior qualifying Lambda collection for that stake.

If the value does not return, check whether the casino launched another RTP version, denomination or Game ID before reporting a fault. Bet-level storage can make two visually identical sessions show different progress.

Example of excess carry

Suppose the base meter begins at 68 and a winning cluster collects five Lambda symbols. The threshold uses two to reach 70, while three are expected to remain for the next cycle under the documented excess-carry rule.

Record the meter before collection, the five qualifying cells, Unity activation and the post-feature remainder. Do not reset the meter to zero in the worksheet unless the game display actually does so.

The example demonstrates bookkeeping and does not predict cluster frequency. Actual meter updates must come from the settled history.

Distinguishing meter fill methods

Ordinary meter progress comes from winning Lambda symbols beneath clusters. The Colossal Wild is a separate event on a non-winning grid that fills the meter. These paths should have different event labels.

When Unity starts, preserve which path completed it. This can explain why a player saw no winning cluster immediately before the symbol-fill sequence.

Do not count the 2×2 Colossal Wild as four ordinary collected Lambdas or seventy individual symbols without support from the live event record. Its documented action is to fill the meter.

Unity hierarchy review

Before the automatic sequence, open the paytable and list the low-paying symbol hierarchy. During Unity, compare each fill with that order. Store only the stages that actually execute.

The sequence stops when a fill and its tumbles no longer create a further win under the feature rule. Do not assume it must display every symbol tier on each activation.

Any ordinary symbols dropping during the tumbles should be captured as part of the stage history. Their awards belong to the same Unity-triggering paid round.

Final publication checks

The completed page should allow a reader to distinguish cluster adjacency, Lambda collection, bet-level persistence, 70/20 thresholds, excess carry, Colossal Wild fill and Unity hierarchy. Review every numerical claim against the Quickspin page or sheet.

Confirm that no paragraph calls meter progress a guaranteed award or claims New Zealand access. Verify the hero asset, alt text, official links and comparison with Candy Glyph.

Finally, run the project duplicate audit. Similar editorial evidence language across the site should not become identical paragraphs, and Shields of Lambda must retain its own cluster and meter analysis.

Final ledger check

One paid spin can include the initiating cluster tumbles, meter completion and several Unity stages. Reconcile them under the same server round instead of expecting separate credits for each animation.

Compare the round-specific total with the account ledger. If the balance differs, inspect simultaneous wagers or adjustments before concluding that Unity mispaid. Preserve the grid sequence, meter values, Game ID and round ID in the support case.

This evidence is sufficient for calculation review and does not require passwords, identity documents or wallet secrets.

Official sources

Bottom line: read the meter by bet level, distinguish base and bonus thresholds, and verify the active RTP in the deployed game.

How to verify the version you can actually open

A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.

Start with identity, then configuration

Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.

When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.

Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration

Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.

Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.

Keep simulation figures in their proper scope

A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.

Audit a disputed round

If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.

Read the paytable as a calculation document

The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.

Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.

Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round

Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.

Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.

Confirm market and device behaviour independently

A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.

On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.

Keep a compact evidence record

For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.

Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.

Use limits that survive the feature design

Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.

No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.

Primary source and correction path

This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
