Scepter of Anubis — separate the nudge, respin and super gate
Full-reel Wilds add respins, mixed Wild and Bonus counts set the free-spin total, and one Super Bonus changes the round into a multiplier branch.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Scepter of Anubis by Quickspin is a 5-reel, 4-row game with 40 paylines. Partial Wilds may nudge into full stacks, full stacks trigger respins, and the trigger composition determines regular or Super Free Spins.
Verified configuration
The sheet lists RTP totals of 96.06%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%, all at volatility five out of five. The reference range is €0.10–€100, hit rates run from 25.31% to 22.59%, and maximum payout is 10,000x.
These figures do not confirm New Zealand availability, NZD or optional controls.
Nudge and respins
A partial Wild can nudge to cover its reel. A full stack that lands or nudges awards one respin; each additional full Wild during the sequence adds another. Track the actual counter rather than assuming every partial symbol qualifies.
Regular and Super Free Spins
Any three, four or five Wild-plus-Bonus symbols award eight, twelve or sixteen regular spins. A Super Bonus plus two, three or four Wild/Bonus symbols awards eight, twelve or sixteen Super spins.
In Super Free Spins, a full-reel Wild applies a 2x, 3x, 5x or 100x multiplier to that spin and its respin. A new Wild during the respin selects a greater or equal multiplier. This sequence must be read from the settled round.
Gamble, Extra Bet and buys
Qualifying eight- or twelve-spin triggers can be gambled for up to sixteen spins. Gambling can also lose the awarded feature; read the live decision screen before choosing.
Extra Bet costs 2x and increases Wild opportunities. Buy Feature costs 80x for regular Free Spins and 160x for Super Free Spins, subject to market availability. None guarantees a return equal to cost.
RTP and maximum context
The four return totals are distinct configurations. The live Game ID should identify which one is active. Quickspin’s 100-million-spin simulations found the 10,000x maximum roughly once per 11.3–11.4 million spins; this is not a personal schedule.
A 10,000x total ends the round immediately. Operator payout caps and account rules remain separate.
Mobile and scope checks
Confirm that trigger composition, full-reel Wilds, multiplier and remaining spins remain visible on mobile. Preserve the round ID, trigger symbols, gamble choice, active RTP and final credit for support.
Fire Tale also uses nudge-driven full Wilds but follows a different Fusion bonus. The Quickspin guide explains version verification.
Base grid and 40-line evaluation
Scepter of Anubis uses five reels, four visible rows and 40 fixed paylines. A winning combination is evaluated on those published lines; the game is not an all-ways title. Before reviewing a result, open the paytable and identify the line pattern, stake per round and symbol values for the active version.
Wild symbols substitute according to the paytable but have a second role: partial Wilds can nudge into full-reel stacks. These functions should be logged separately. A Wild contribution to an ordinary line win does not automatically mean that a nudge or respin has occurred.
The paid result, any nudge animation and the following respin belong to one feature sequence. Use the round ID and history to reconcile the complete sequence rather than treating the respin as a separately charged spin.
Partial Wilds and the nudge step
A partial Wild can arrive with only part of its stacked symbol visible. The nudge moves the reel so the complete Wild stack fills the reel when the documented condition is met. Record the reel number, the initially visible Wild section and the final full-stack state.
Do not infer a nudge merely because a Wild appears tall. The event history or animation should show the reel movement. Equally, a partial Wild that does not complete its stack should not be credited with a respin.
After the nudge settles, paylines are evaluated using the full-reel Wild. Then the full stack awards the documented respin. This timing explains why the same Wild can contribute to a line result and remain relevant in the following state.
The nudge is random game behaviour rather than a user choice. There is no stop timing or visual cue that makes a future full stack controllable.
Building the respin counter
The first full-stack Wild—whether it lands complete or becomes complete through a nudge—awards one respin. During that sequence, each additional full Wild adds another respin. Track the displayed counter after every new stack.
An added respin should be tied to a newly completed full Wild, not every Wild segment or every line win involving an existing stack. If several qualifying stacks appear in one result, the round history should show how the counter updates under the active rules.
Create a sequence table with result number, full Wild reels, new Wild reels, multiplier if applicable, respins added, respins remaining and line-win subtotal. This separates the persistent state from newly triggering events.
When no respins remain, the sequence settles unless a Free Spins trigger has also been formed. Preserve the trigger symbols on the initiating result so the transition can be verified.
Counting regular Free Spins triggers
Regular Free Spins use a combined count of Wild and ordinary Bonus symbols. Three combined symbols award eight spins, four award twelve, and five award sixteen. The symbols do not all need to be the same type; the rule is based on the documented combined trigger count.
Write the composition explicitly—for example, two Wilds plus one Bonus—rather than storing only “three triggers”. This becomes essential when distinguishing the regular and Super branches.
The spin total is fixed by the count at entry. Do not add the values 8, 12 or 16 as a cash award. They are the number of feature spins granted before any later retrigger rule shown in the live help.
A public image containing five Egyptian symbols is not evidence of a five-symbol trigger. Use the settled reel positions and round history.
Identifying the Super branch
Super Free Spins require one Super Bonus symbol plus two, three or four additional Wild or Bonus symbols. Those compositions award eight, twelve or sixteen Super spins. The presence of the specifically labelled Super Bonus changes the branch.
A four-symbol trigger without a Super Bonus belongs to regular Free Spins. A Super Bonus with three additional qualifying symbols belongs to twelve Super spins. This is why a composition record is more useful than a raw trigger count.
At transition, save the screen identifying the feature as Super Free Spins and its awarded spin count. If the interface label is unclear, consult the in-game help for the active Game ID instead of inferring the branch from artwork colour.
The Super branch adds multiplier behaviour to full-reel Wilds. It should not be described as merely “more free spins”, because an eight-spin Super feature and an eight-spin regular feature have different mechanics.
Super Wild multipliers
During Super Free Spins, a full-reel Wild selects a 2×, 3×, 5× or 100× multiplier. That multiplier applies to the triggering spin and its associated respin. Record the selected value before calculating the line subtotal.
If a new full Wild arrives during the respin, the game selects a multiplier that is greater than or equal to the current one. The new value should be taken from the displayed result; it is not automatically the next number in the sequence. For example, a 3× state can remain at 3× or move to a higher allowed value according to the game event.
Keep base line win, Wild multiplier and final multiplied subtotal in separate columns. This allows a 5× result to be distinguished from five independent line wins and prevents the multiplier from being applied twice.
The multiplier belongs to the relevant spin-and-respin sequence. Do not carry it into a later free spin unless the live help explicitly records it there.
Gamble decision for awarded spins
Qualifying eight- or twelve-spin triggers can open a gamble that risks the awarded feature for a chance to increase the count, up to sixteen spins. The decision screen should show the current award, possible upgrade and loss condition before confirmation.
Regular and Super triggers use their own qualifying compositions. Record the feature type before gambling so a successful upgrade is not mistaken for a change from regular to Super. The gamble concerns the awarded spin count within the triggered branch.
If the gamble loses, the originally awarded feature can be lost. That is materially different from a no-cost animation. Treat the decision as an optional high-variance step and verify that a cancel or collect choice is available in the deployed interface.
Save the initial trigger, decision and outcome under the same round ID. A support review needs to see that the feature was gambled rather than missing from the account.
Extra Bet mode
Extra Bet doubles the paid stake and increases opportunities for Wild symbols. The 2× label refers to cost. It does not double all line awards or guarantee a nudge, respin or bonus.
Before enabling the mode, compare the base stake with the total shown after activation. Keep Extra Bet rounds separate in any result worksheet because they were purchased under a different configuration.
The provider documentation describes the mode, while the operator decides whether it is exposed for a market and account. If no control appears, do not assume it can be activated through another route.
An increased Wild opportunity does not reveal the probability of a full stack in the next round. The live help is the correct source for any published mode-specific return information.
Regular and Super feature purchases
The 80× Buy Feature enters regular Free Spins. The 160× route enters Super Free Spins. A purchase confirmation should show the exact currency deduction, feature type and starting state before acceptance.
The two purchases are not the same feature with a larger price. The Super route includes the full-reel Wild multiplier mechanic described above. Record the selected route in the round log so the settlement can be interpreted correctly.
Neither price promises a return equal to its cost. The purchased feature remains a random result governed by the active configuration. Check availability in the live operator interface; a supplier page alone cannot prove the control is legal or enabled for New Zealand users.
When reviewing price, multiply the current base bet by 80 or 160 and compare the displayed confirmation. If the total differs, stop and inspect whether Extra Bet, denomination or another option is active.
Maximum-win rule
The documented maximum is 10,000× the base bet. When the accumulated round reaches that amount, the game ends the round and pays the maximum. Remaining spins or respins do not imply that settlement must exceed the cap.
Store the base bet used for the multiplier calculation. Account-currency limits or operator maximum-payout clauses are separate and should not be substituted for the game’s 10,000× mathematical limit.
Provider simulations cited in the sheet observed the maximum at roughly one event per 11.3–11.4 million spins, depending on configuration. That is a large-sample observation, not a countdown and not an individual chance schedule.
No previous result makes the maximum more likely on the next spin. Use the simulation figure only to understand the rarity reported by the provider.
Reading the four RTP configurations
Quickspin lists 96.06%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%. These are alternative deployed totals, not four components to add together. A casino can present the same title with one of these mathematical versions.
Open the information panel after launching the game and record the exact RTP and Game ID. The title screen alone cannot identify the version. A review that quotes only 96.06% without checking the deployed help is incomplete.
Hit-rate figures in the sheet range from 25.31% to 22.59% across configurations. Hit rate counts qualifying results under the provider’s definition; it does not state profit frequency and should not be used as a promise of one win every fixed number of spins.
For comparisons, keep RTP, hit rate, volatility and maximum in separate fields. They describe different characteristics and cannot be compressed into a single “good odds” label.
Scepter of Anubis audit worksheet
Begin with date, operator domain, Game ID, RTP, base stake and active mode. For base play, record the five-by-four result, paylines won, partial Wilds, nudges, completed stacks and line subtotal.
For respins, add one row per state with new full Wilds, counter movement and payout. For a bonus trigger, write every contributing symbol and identify regular or Super entry before recording eight, twelve or sixteen spins.
During Super Free Spins, record the selected Wild multiplier for each spin-and-respin sequence and any equal-or-higher replacement value. For a gamble, preserve the offered upgrade, collect option and final decision. For a purchased route, attach the confirmation and ledger deduction.
Finally, compare the complete round total with the casino history. This structure is specific to Scepter of Anubis and prevents its nudge, respin, trigger and multiplier stages from being blended into one unexplained animation.
New Zealand and operator scope
The Quickspin product page and game sheet establish the game’s documented mechanics and mathematical variants. They do not establish that a particular operator accepts New Zealand players, offers NZD stakes, exposes Extra Bet or permits feature purchases.
Check the operator identity, account eligibility and live game help separately. If the game is accessible, its displayed currency and stake range can differ from the euro reference range in the supplier sheet. Record the actual account screen without presenting it as universal.
Likewise, casino verification, deposits and withdrawals are account-level matters. They should not be inferred from the Egyptian theme or Quickspin’s product documentation.
Practical final verification
Before a paid round, verify the displayed game title, provider, Game ID, RTP and total stake. After a feature round, compare the trigger composition, awarded branch, spin count, respin counter and any Super multiplier with the server history. These fields are enough to identify most rule misunderstandings without relying on memory of the animation.
If a value is absent from the active help, leave it unconfirmed. A similarly themed Quickspin title or another Scepter deployment is not a substitute for the version actually played. Preserve the dated product sheet as background and the live help as transaction-specific evidence.
Check every field.

Official sources
Bottom line: count trigger composition before interpreting the bonus, and treat the gamble and buy controls as separate high-cost decisions.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
