Reel Nightmare — track one Wild identity on every reel
Five Wild designs belong to five reel positions. Three start Revenge Free Spins, triggering Wilds stick, and every additional Wild becomes sticky while adding a spin.
Supplier sources below. Operator eligibility needs a separate check.

Reel Nightmare by Quickspin is a five-reel, three-row slot with ten paylines. It uses five visually different Wild symbols—one associated with each reel—and a single Revenge Free Spins feature built around sticky Wilds.
Verified configuration
The official sheet lists total RTP versions of 96.23%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%, all at volatility five out of five. The reference stake range is €0.10–€100 and does not confirm NZD limits.
Its 100-million-spin simulations report maximum results of 17,279.5x, 16,824.8x, 16,225.9x and 14,380.3x respectively. Quickspin’s product copy rounds the headline maximum to 17,000x; the sheet values should remain labelled as simulation observations.
Five Wild identities
Each reel uses its own Wild design, but the symbols share the same substitution behaviour. In the base game, Wilds appear on all reels and replace other symbols.
Landing at least three Wilds anywhere starts the bonus. The trigger is based on Wild count rather than needing them on one payline.
Revenge Free Spins
Three Wilds award ten spins, four award twelve and five award fourteen. All trigger Wilds lock in their positions for the rest of the round.
Every additional Wild that lands during the feature also becomes sticky and awards one extra spin. Save the starting positions and each new Wild when auditing the sequence.
Quickspin’s page describes a special Blood Line condition involving one Wild per reel on a win line and a 300x per-spin award. Because that statement sits in product copy rather than the extracted feature sheet, verify the exact calculation in the live help before relying on it.
Mobile and dispute checks
On a narrow screen, confirm that all five reels, sticky positions, added-spin counter and remaining spins are visible. Animation can obscure a newly added Wild; round history should settle the actual state.
This title has no documented feature buy on the official feature page. Do not import a buy price from another Quickspin game. The provider guide explains how to keep title-specific rules separate.
Ten paylines and reel-specific Wilds
Reel Nightmare uses a five-by-three grid and ten fixed paylines. Ordinary wins follow those paths, and each Wild substitutes according to the paytable. A matching symbol outside an active line does not create an all-ways award.
The five Wild designs correspond to five reel positions. Record them by reel—W1 through W5—rather than only by colour or character artwork. This makes the trigger and sticky layout auditable even if a casino skin changes the visual palette.
Although the designs differ, the source describes shared substitution behaviour. Do not assign a separate multiplier, value or power to a character unless the live paytable expressly does so.
Wild count trigger
Three or more Wilds anywhere in the base-game window trigger Revenge Free Spins. They do not need to form one payline. Count the settled Wild positions after the reel result is complete.
Three Wilds award ten spins, four award twelve and five award fourteen. Store the initial count and awarded length before the transition animation.
The trigger Wilds remain locked in the same positions during the feature. A screenshot of the first free spin should therefore correspond to the initiating coordinates. If it does not, inspect the server history and active help.
Three-Wild, ten-spin state
The lowest trigger begins with three sticky positions and ten spins. Mark the two reels or positions without a locked Wild because later Wilds can fill those gaps.
Every additional Wild during the feature becomes sticky and adds one spin. The new symbol changes both the grid state and the remaining-spin counter. Record those effects separately.
An existing sticky Wild visible again on the next spin does not add another spin. Only a newly landed Wild creates the documented extension.
Four-Wild, twelve-spin state
Four trigger Wilds provide twelve spins and leave one reel position without the initial sticky character. This state begins closer to the full five-Wild configuration but does not guarantee the missing Wild will arrive.
If a fifth Wild lands, record its coordinate, the one added spin and the subsequent fully occupied Wild pattern. Do not retroactively add spins for the four Wilds that were already part of the trigger.
Keep ordinary line awards separate from feature-state changes. A new Wild can contribute to a line and add a spin in the same result.
Five-Wild, fourteen-spin state
Five trigger Wilds award fourteen spins and begin with all five reel-specific Wild identities present. The exact row positions still matter because fixed paylines traverse particular cells.
Starting with five Wilds does not mean every line wins on every spin. The sticky symbols occupy one or more positions defined by the trigger, while replacement symbols still determine combinations.
Because all five identities are already present, any later Wild event should be checked carefully against the live history. The source’s “additional Wild” rule applies to newly landing symbols, not merely the continued display of the trigger set.
Sticky-position map
Create a 5×3 coordinate grid. On entry, mark every trigger Wild and its reel identity. For each free spin, retain those cells, add newly landed Wilds and note the updated remaining-spin count.
Where more than one new Wild lands in a result, follow the game history for the number of spins added. The public description says every additional Wild adds one, so each newly settled Wild should be reconciled with the counter.
The coordinate map also shows which ten paylines are affected. A sticky Wild on the centre row can participate in different patterns from one on the top row, even though both share substitution behaviour.
Added-spin arithmetic
Begin with the awarded ten, twelve or fourteen spins. Deduct one as each spin starts or settles according to the interface, then add one for each new Wild. Preserve the before-and-after counter to avoid an off-by-one error caused by animation timing.
Do not count trigger Wilds as in-feature additions. Their benefit is already reflected in the starting spin total and locked positions.
Bonus symbols are not described as retriggers here. Added duration comes from new Wilds, so another game’s scatter-retrigger rule should not be imported.
Blood Line product statement
Quickspin’s product page mentions a Blood Line condition involving one Wild from each reel on a winning payline and a 300× per-spin award. The extracted game sheet summary does not provide the same detailed calculation.
Treat this as an official product-page statement that requires confirmation in the deployed help. Identify the qualifying line, one reel-specific Wild on each reel and the displayed award. Do not assume that any five Wilds anywhere form Blood Line.
The phrase “per-spin award” should not be expanded into a feature total without the live paytable. Record the actual round-history entry and whether other line wins are included or separate.
If the live version omits the rule, publish the source discrepancy and Game ID rather than inventing a calculation.
Base-game and feature calculations
For base play, list each of the ten winning lines, symbol combination, Wild substitutions and line award. If the result also triggers the bonus, preserve the trigger coordinates before moving to the feature.
For Revenge Free Spins, maintain three subtotals: ordinary line awards, any confirmed Blood Line award and feature-state changes. Sticky Wilds and added spins are not cash values by themselves.
The final credit should equal the combined settled awards from all feature spins according to the paytable. Compare it with the round-specific ledger entry, not the changing main balance.
No confirmed Buy Feature
The official materials used for this review do not document a Buy Feature price. Do not create one from a similarly volatile Quickspin title or from a third-party lobby button.
If an operator exposes a direct-entry control, its name, price, starting state, RTP and source must be documented separately. It may represent another version or an operator-specific feature.
The absence of a published purchase means this page should explain natural Wild entry rather than padding the article with hypothetical bonus-buy arithmetic.
Four RTP deployments
The listed totals are 96.23%, 94.19%, 92.07% and 87.15%. They are alternative configurations. Identical horror artwork can accompany a materially different return setting.
Record the live Game ID and percentage. The highest published RTP is not a default. All four versions carry the supplier’s five-out-of-five volatility classification.
RTP is a long-run model parameter, while volatility describes distribution. Neither determines when the next Wild or bonus appears.
Simulation maxima and headline wording
The official sheet reports observed maxima of 17,279.5×, 16,824.8×, 16,225.9× and 14,380.3× in 100-million-spin simulations. The product page uses a rounded “17,000×” headline.
Keep these statements in context. The simulation values are observations, not necessarily formal payout caps; the rounded product copy is promotional shorthand. The live paytable must settle the contractual maximum for the active version.
Do not turn the sample into a claim that a maximum occurs every 100 million spins. The sample size and largest observation do not provide a personal schedule.
Complete Revenge worksheet
Record date, operator, title, Game ID, RTP, currency and stake. Save the base grid, Wild count, exact W1–W5 identities, coordinates and starting Free Spins.
For every feature spin, list sticky positions before the spin, new Wilds, added spins, sticky positions after the spin, winning lines and award. Add a Blood Line field only when the active help confirms it.
At settlement, reconcile the total with the server ledger and preserve the round ID. This worksheet gives support a precise position or counter discrepancy rather than a vague complaint about an animation.
Mobile readability and accessibility
On a phone, all five reel identities and sticky cells must remain distinguishable. Check that remaining spins and any added-spin notification are not hidden by the character animation.
Colour alone should not identify a Wild; reel position and symbol label should remain available through the paytable or history. Open a completed feature record before relying on the mobile layout.
For screenshots, include the round ID and counter. A cropped image of the horror characters without the stake or positions is not useful evidence.
New Zealand and source scope
Quickspin documents the product, RTP versions and feature logic. It does not prove New Zealand casino availability, NZD stakes or an operator’s account terms.
Confirm the operator, market access and currency separately. The non-graphic editorial artwork on this page illustrates five sticky identities; it is not a casino screenshot or evidence of a live deployment.
Distinguishing Wild identity from grid position
The character assigned to reel one remains the reel-one Wild identity, but its row can vary. Record both dimensions: identity W1 and coordinate such as reel 1, row 2. A review that stores only “red Wild” loses the payline information.
During Revenge Free Spins, a new Wild can lock at a position not occupied by the original trigger set. If the version permits several locked Wild cells on a reel, represent each coordinate separately rather than replacing the earlier entry. The live history determines the permitted state.
At the end of each spin, compare the map with the previous one and identify only the new cells. This delta is the evidence for added spins and prevents existing artwork from being recounted.
Line-by-line verification with sticky Wilds
Trace the ten payline patterns across the 5×3 map. For each settled feature spin, substitute the locked Wilds where allowed and identify the ordinary symbols completing the combination.
A Wild present on every reel does not necessarily occupy one common line. Blood Line product wording requires the relevant one-per-reel arrangement on a winning payline, so coordinates matter as much as the total count.
Store line award and special-condition award separately. If the game history presents one combined total, retain the line trace and ask support how the special amount is incorporated.
Trigger example without prediction
Suppose W1, W3 and W5 land in the base result. The count of three opens ten Revenge Free Spins and those three coordinates become sticky. Reels two and four still lack their named Wild identities.
If W2 lands on the second feature spin, it becomes sticky and adds one spin. The counter change should be logged once. W1, W3 and W5 remain part of the map but do not each add another spin.
This example demonstrates state tracking only. It does not imply that alternating reels are common or that W4 is more likely after the other four identities appear.
Handling a fast animation
Revenge Free Spins can display a character arrival, sticky effect, line award and spin addition in quick succession. Pause controls or reduced-motion settings may help, but the server round history is the stronger record.
After a test feature, reopen the completed round and confirm that it lists the initial trigger, every added Wild and final award. If it only shows a combined total, save the screen state and request a detailed event record for a dispute.
Do not record a long video containing unrelated balances or personal information when a round ID and coordinate map provide a cleaner case.
Publication verification list
Before publishing, verify the five-by-three layout, ten lines, three/four/five trigger counts, ten/twelve/fourteen starting spins, sticky trigger positions and one added spin per new Wild.
Check the Blood Line text against the deployed help and state any mismatch. Confirm all four RTPs, keep the simulation values labelled correctly and avoid adding a feature-buy price.
Date the source review and preserve the Game ID. A later Quickspin update can then be distinguished from the version represented here instead of silently overwriting the evidence.
Final account reconciliation
The feature debit is the initiating paid spin; the sticky respins do not create separate wagers. At the end, compare the full round credit with the server ledger entry tied to that paid spin.
If the account balance changed by a different amount, inspect concurrent wagers, bonuses or adjustments before calling the feature calculation wrong. A transaction-specific ledger is more reliable than balance subtraction.
Keep the final map, spin counter and line totals with the round ID. These fields are sufficient for a precise support request without exposing account credentials.

Official sources
Bottom line: record the five reel positions, then count the sticky Wilds and added spins from the actual round history.
How to verify the version you can actually open
A provider page proves that a title exists and describes the supplier's intended rules. It does not prove that a casino accepts players in New Zealand, that the title is enabled for a particular account, or that the highest published RTP is the version in the lobby. Treat availability, operator eligibility and product configuration as three separate checks.
Start with identity, then configuration
Open the game only through the authenticated casino lobby. The information or help panel should identify Quickspin, the exact title and the active mathematical return. Compare the reel or grid layout, paylines or cluster rules, named features and symbol behaviour with the official product material. Similar artwork or a matching title is not enough when the help file is missing or inconsistent.
When the supplier publishes several RTP values, report all of them as configurations. Do not assume the highest option is deployed. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure across a very large number of rounds; it is not a refund rate for one player and cannot predict the next result. Volatility is different: it describes how unevenly results are distributed on the provider's scale.
Read stake controls as money, not interface decoration
Provider sheets often quote a reference range in euros. That range does not establish New Zealand-dollar support or the limits in a specific account. Before a paid round, identify the total amount that will leave the balance. If the interface separates denomination, coins and lines, verify the combined total. If Extra Bet is active, calculate its full cost before pressing spin.
Feature-buy prices are multiples of the current bet, not promised returns. A 100x purchase at a $1 stake costs $100; at a $2 stake it costs $200. Availability can vary by market and some mathematical configurations may not support the control. If the live help does not explain the price, delivered feature and active RTP, leave the option unused.
Keep simulation figures in their proper scope
A game sheet may publish a maximum result observed in a large simulation. That is not automatically the contractual maximum payout and never describes a likely session. Preserve the provider's wording, sample size and configuration. Check the live rules for a binding cap and the operator terms for any separate payout limit. Do not turn an extreme result into a promotional headline.
Audit a disputed round
If an animation freezes or a connection drops, do not repeat the wager immediately. Reopen the game through the authenticated lobby and inspect round history. Record the time, total stake, balance movement and round identifier. The result can be settled by the gaming system even when the device never displays the final animation. Send evidence through verified operator support; never disclose a password, recovery phrase or one-time code.
Read the paytable as a calculation document
The paytable should explain what creates a win, which symbols substitute, where special symbols can land and how multiple awards combine. For line games, confirm direction and active paylines. For cluster games, confirm adjacency, minimum group size and the order of collection. For respins, identify what remains locked, what resets the counter and what ends the feature. A graphic effect can illustrate those rules but cannot replace them.
Separate addition from multiplication. Several prize values may be added before a multiplier applies, while reel-specific multipliers can sometimes multiply together only when each reel participates in the same win. Reconstruct one low-stake result from game history. If the arithmetic cannot be matched to the help file, stop and ask the operator rather than guessing.
Do not confuse hit frequency with a profitable round
Provider sheets can publish hit frequency or category probabilities. A hit simply means a round returned a qualifying amount; it can be smaller than the stake. “Big”, “Mega” or “Epic” thresholds are provider reporting categories, not promises. They are useful for comparing mathematical versions only when definitions and samples are the same.
Random outcomes do not become due after a long gap. A feature that appeared repeatedly in a demo or marketing clip has no obligation to repeat in a funded session. Previous rounds do not create a debt from the next random result.
Confirm market and device behaviour independently
A title can exist in the supplier catalogue while an operator disables it for a territory, currency, device or bonus. Language localisation is not evidence of legal availability. Confirm the operator's identity, accepted countries and current lobby separately from the provider review.
On mobile, verify that balance, total bet, feature state and help remain visible without overlap. On desktop, check that browser zoom does not hide a purchase control or change the apparent denomination. Mathematical configuration should not change merely because the screen changes; if the help shows another RTP, treat it as a different deployment and record it.
Keep a compact evidence record
For any fact used in a review, save the title, provider, official URL, document date when available, access date and exact territorial scope. For a live session, add the operator domain, Game ID, RTP, currency and a non-sensitive screenshot of the help panel. This makes later corrections possible when a supplier updates a sheet or an operator changes configuration.
Missing information should remain missing. Do not estimate an RTP from results, convert a euro reference range into an operator's NZD limit, or treat another casino's configuration as evidence. A transparent “not confirmed” is more useful than a precise-looking number without the correct source.
Use limits that survive the feature design
Collection meters, expanding grids, sticky symbols and near misses can make a session feel unfinished. Unless the rules explicitly preserve progress, the visible state has no value after the round or feature ends. Set a money limit and time limit before launch, count feature buys immediately, and stop at the limit even when a meter appears close to an upgrade.
No random game is an income plan. Do not borrow, use essential funds or raise the stake to recover a loss. If play stops feeling recreational, use timeout, deposit-limit or self-exclusion tools and consult the site's responsible gambling guide.
Primary source and correction path
This guide separates documented product information from market availability. Check the official source and the game help inside the exact version offered before making a decision.
